Ruling Martial World by Infinite Insect Swarms

Chapter 105: Chapter 103: The Demon King Falls, the Insect Nest Shatters

Heaven and earth roared!

Dazzling lightning gathered in the sky above the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer, then detonated into a bolt of lightning brimming with an aura of extreme Destruction.

The Insect Swarm’s strongest single-target attack—Thunder and Lightning Joint Attack!

”No!”

Shocked and infuriated, the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer’s antlers glowed brightly. The vortex of Wind Blades swirling around it violently expanded several times over, transforming the invisible gale into a materialized Wind Barrier.

The pillar of lightning slammed ruthlessly into the wall of wind!

Blinding white light instantly swallowed its figure. The violent shockwave of Energy tore up the surrounding ground, reducing three nearby Needle-spine Crawlers to charred husks!

The Wind Barrier held for only a split second before shattering with a loud boom!

The residual Thunderbolts poured ruthlessly into the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer’s body!

SPURT!

Its slender body trembled violently. Large patches of its snow-white fur were instantly charred black. It spewed a mouthful of scalding blood, and the seven-colored radiance flowing around its body suddenly dimmed.

Thunder Power rampaged wildly within its body.

This brief moment of paralysis became a fatal opening!

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

The Thorn Snakes spat out the Blade Insects they had long been preparing in their mouths.

SQUELCH! SQUELCH!

Having lost the protection of the wind wall, the high-speed spinning Blade Insects easily sliced into its charred flesh, embedding themselves deeply within!

Amidst the splattering blood, parasitic offspring emerged from the shattered shells of dozens of Blade Insects. They extended fine, dense tentacles and burrowed frantically deep into its body.

”Argh—!”

The Seven-Colored Spirit Deer let out an exceptionally agonizing howl. The rampaging Thunder Power, coupled with its torn flesh and the sheer agony of foreign entities squirming and taking root inside it, frantically siphoned away its life force.

It desperately tried to gather its internal strength to squeeze out these parasites, but its body uncontrollably broke into violent tremors.

For the first time, a look of despair surfaced in its eyes, but it could only watch helplessly as the sharp tail spike of a Needle-spine Crawler thrust toward it.

Like a venomous snake that had been lying in wait for ages, it seized this fleeting opportunity.

Accompanied by an ear-piercing shriek, the spike instantly pierced through its body.

The massive spike—over a meter wide and a thousand meters long—carried an unrivaled force. After impaling its body, it plunged directly deep into the earth.

”Guh...”

The Seven-Colored Spirit Deer’s body suddenly stiffened as the light in its eyes rapidly faded. It struggled to let out one last cry, only to be dragged straight underground.

”No!”

Lifting its hooves, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King blasted away the Mountain Giant Ape, which had burned out into a mummy-like husk, and unleashed an absolute roar of fury.

Its once elegant and holy second brother was now like a broken, dilapidated doll, vanishing underground along with the Needle-spine Crawler. Not even a corpse could be recovered.

The Seven-Colored Spirit Deer had fallen!

It is better to sever one finger than to injure all ten!

From the very beginning, Qin Yu had set his sights on the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer. He maintained this focus even when the Mountain-Splitting Demon King wildly rampaged through the Insect Swarm, continuously slaughtering hundreds of the Insect Race and killing dozens of Elites in the Qi and Blood Realm. But Qin Yu still held himself back. He threw all of the Insect Swarm’s trump cards at the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer, ensuring its instantaneous death.

Qin Yu knew very well that with the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer’s speed, if it were allowed to escape, the Destruction it would wreak upon the Insect Swarm would absolutely be no less than that of the Mountain-Splitting Demon King.

Furthermore, it had spotted the hidden Insect Nest right away!

”Next up is you!”

Qin Yu’s consciousness entrenched itself within the Insect Swarm’s Mind Network. From the sky, he looked down, surveying the entire battlefield.

The Needle-spine Crawler surging into the sky and the sky-filling roar of Thunderbolts attracted the attention of every Qi and Blood Realm Great Demon on the battlefield. Almost all the Demon Fiends witnessed the fall of the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer.

That terrifying display of might instantly struck fear and panic into the hearts of the battling Demon Fiends.

The Demon Army, which had already fallen to a disadvantage and was only forced to fight under the suppression of the two Great Demon Kings, began to rout.

Fight to the death without retreating? Even a well-trained army belonging to the human race would collapse after suffering twenty or thirty percent casualties. As for a core Elite force, it was extremely rare for them to withstand forty or fifty percent casualties.

Under the Insect Swarm’s offensive, the Demon Fiends’ casualties were incredibly disastrous.

The fearless Rapid Insects, the Cockroaches spewing sky-filling highly toxic acid, the Blood Shadow Pythons lurking in the shadows shooting deadly venom, and the Poison Burst Insects that directly rushed forward for suicide attacks. Each and every type had inflicted massive casualties upon the Demon Fiends.

Were it not for the two Demon Kings and the century-long deterrence of the Three Immortals Mountain, coupled with the fact that this brutal battlefield had blinded many Demon Fiends with bloodlust, the Demon Army would have routed long ago in such a tragic battle.

Fighting to the very last soldier in a large-scale war, just like the Insect Swarm did, was simply impossible among the Demon Fiends.

At the end of the day, they were nothing more than a motley crew forcibly cobbled together.

”Flee!”

No one knew which Demon Fiend let out that miserable howl first, but chaos spread like a plague.

The flying Demon Fiends in the sky whined as they flapped their wings, fleeing desperately toward the periphery of the battlefield.

Demon Fiends all possessed intelligence. First, the Red Feather Demon King fell, and then the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer perished. Seeing that they were outmatched, why would they continue to fight to the bitter end?

”Anyone attempting to flee will die!”

The Mountain-Splitting Demon King was completely enraged. Its massive hooves heavily smashed into the ground, causing the earth to bulge and clear out the charging Insect Swarm around it before it violently leapt into the air.

Around its body, hundreds of stone spikes condensed and shot outwards explosively. They instantly pierced through more than a dozen fleeing Demon Fiends.

The sky-soaring Killing Intent made all the Demon Fiends tremble. Among the three great Demon Kings, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King was the absolute strongest, as well as the one all the Demon Fiends feared the most.

”Roar! You damn insects!”

Having barely intimidated the routing Demon Fiends into pausing, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King unleashed a furious roar. The single horn on its head lit up with light.

Earth and rocks from the surroundings flew into the air, gathering over its already fifteen-meter-tall body to form a set of Rock Armor a full meter thick. It abruptly changed direction, pointing straight at the distant Thorn Snakes that had killed the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer and were continuously spitting out Blade Insects.

RUMBLE—

While sprinting madly, its enormous body brutally shoved aside all obstacles in its path.

There was no need for Qin Yu to control them.

All the Thorn Snakes instantly adjusted their angles and spat copious amounts of Blade Insects at the Mountain-Splitting Demon King. However, looking at the sky full of incoming Blade Insects, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King merely sneered coldly.

An earthy yellow light emanated from its already incredibly thick Rock Armor. Instead of dodging, it charged straight forward!

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The high-speed spinning Blade Insects sliced against the Rock Armor before exploding violently. However, they only managed to consistently blast washbasin-sized craters into the Rock Armor. They could not truly harm the Mountain-Splitting Demon King beneath the heavy Armor.

Just how fast was the Mountain-Splitting Demon King? This time, without the Mountain Giant Ape desperately blocking it, it charged right into the group of Thorn Snakes almost instantaneously and began its massacre.

With a single stomp, the sharp spikes jutting out of the earth impaled several Thorn Snakes on the spot before they could flee.

BOOM—

A Needle-spine Crawler with an intact hide burst out from the ground, aiming to pierce through the Mountain-Splitting Demon King’s body. However, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King’s sensory connection with the earth was remarkably powerful.

It instantly sensed the anomaly and then fearlessly lifted its hooves to smash the incoming attack.

When its second brother had fought the Needle-spine Crawlers, it had already noticed that these things roamed underground. Although their bodies were massive, their strength wasn’t as formidable as one might expect. Even its second brother’s Wind Shuttle could easily pierce them, so how could it not do the same?

Amidst a violent boom, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King forcefully pulverized the emerging Needle-spine Crawler before it could even fully break out of the surface. Given that it was prepared, such things couldn’t harm it at all.

It was, after all, an existence at the Peak of Qi Sea. Meanwhile, no matter how huge this Needle-spine Crawler was, it was only at the Peak of Qi and Blood. The two were simply not on the same level.

Having trampled a Needle-spine Crawler to death, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King stomped heavily on the ground, killing over thirty more Thorn Snakes in the process. Only then did it ignore the Thorn Snakes scattering in all directions and turn its gaze toward the location of the Insect Nest.

The Seven-Colored Spirit Deer had discovered the Insect Nest and the endless stream of Insect Swarm units rushing out. Naturally, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King had discovered it as well.

Their original plan had been for it to charge into the core of the battlefield to turn the tide, while the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer went to destroy the Insect Swarm’s reinforcements. They had never expected the Seven-Colored Spirit Deer to perish so easily.

Suddenly, it raised its head and looked up at the sky.

In the high altitudes, the circling flock of Thunder Rocs erupted once again. Dazzling lightning gathered, and another terrifyingly fused lightning pillar tore through the air, crashing down with a deafening boom!

Looking at the sky filled with Thunderbolts, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King let out a muffled, angry roar. The surrounding Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi surged into the ground.

HUM—!

An exceptionally heavy rock bulwark, shimmering with earthy yellow light, rose from the ground like an enormous Shield, blocking the path of the lightning pillar!

BOOM!!!

The pillar of lightning smashed into the rock bulwark, unleashing an ear-splitting explosion!

The bulwark shook violently as rocks peeled off its surface and cracks spread. The light of the Thunderbolts struck its body, but it couldn’t even break through the Rock Armor.

It actually managed to forcefully withstand this devastating strike!

”A bunch of ants think they can hurt me?!”

Having endured the blow, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King didn’t hesitate for a moment. Its colossal body moved, charging straight toward the Insect Nest’s cavern. Inside, it sensed a massive cluster of life auras.

Amidst the sky-filling bombardment of Blade Insects and the blockade of the Needle-spine Crawlers, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King barged inside.

”What is this thing?”

When it saw the fleshy mountain-like Insect Nest underground, the densely packed eggs surrounding it, and the Rapid Insects and Thorn Snakes continuously hatching from them, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King was stunned.

It had never seen such bizarre Demon Fiends! It finally understood exactly where those fearless members of the Insect Race on the battlefield came from!

”Go to hell!”

Ignoring the attacks of the surrounding Insect Swarm, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King lowered its head and directly rammed its enormous body into it!

BOOM!

For the first time since it was incubated and brought into existence, the Insect Nest was attacked—and by a Qi Sea Realm Great Demon, no less! The Insect Nest’s thick carapace couldn’t withstand such an assault. Large chunks of its flesh and blood were torn away on the spot, exposing the organs and chambers inside.

As if still unsatisfied, the Mountain-Splitting Demon King roared and stomped heavily with all four hooves. An exceptionally massive and sharp earth spike rose from the ground, completely impaling the Insect Nest.

Just as it was about to continue and smash all those eggs to pieces, a sharp, resonant cry suddenly echoed from the outside world.

In the distant sky, a fiery red Flowing Light pierced through the air.

An aura far purer and more scorching than the Red Feather Demon King’s—one that felt as if it could incinerate all of creation—instantly shrouded the entire battlefield!

”Third Brother is still alive?”
