Chapter 364: Is There Something Wrong with Your Eyes?

For the new instructor, today’s first class went quite smoothly, with nearly everyone in attendance listening with zest and interest.

Yet, Lin Zifeng somehow felt as if he had been transported back to five years ago.

Scenes from the past flooded his mind incessantly, like a dam breach that couldn’t be stopped.

The usually relaxed Lin Zifeng now had bloodshot eyes, his cold poker face chilling his classmates to the bone.

As time passed,

having a second chance in life to sit in a classroom and listen to a beautiful teacher lecture was like a surreal dream. Only now, his classmates and friends had been replaced by a new set of people...

”Lin Zifeng!”

While Lin Zifeng was lost in a daze. Yan Qingcheng, with her delicate fingers as white as jade, held a roll call list and called out Lin Zifeng’s name several times.

Since it was her first day on the job, Yan Qingcheng didn’t recognize the names of the Archaeology Department students. She started to call out names one by one from the list.

However, when she called Lin Zifeng’s name, the classroom was silent; no one stood up or responded with ’here’ for a long while.

This caused Yan Qingcheng’s beautiful willow brows to furrow slightly.

She hadn’t expected that on her first day, there would be a student so disrespectful as to skip class.

But at that moment, the classmate beside Lin Zifeng poked the daydreaming Lin Zifeng with a ballpoint pen.

”Ah!?” Lin Zifeng quickly turned his head to find Shao Huo poking his arm with a ballpoint pen, looking at him with a puzzled expression.

”The instructor is calling your name,” Shao Huo whispered, winking and making faces.

”Oh,” Lin Zifeng nodded heavily, quickly stood up, and turned his gaze towards Yan Qingcheng, who was on the small platform, bewildered by her clear and graceful face.

”Are you Lin Zifeng?” Yan Qingcheng’s beautiful autumnal eyes flickered with a hint of surprise.

Lin Zifeng, having just come to his senses, did not directly answer her but nodded his head in agreement instead.

”Your name is Lin Zifeng?” Yan Qingcheng’s eyes seemed to smile as they looked at him.

”What’s the matter, is there a problem?” Lin Zifeng found her question somewhat amusing. Wasn’t it obvious that there was no one else in the classroom named Lin Zifeng?

”How old are you this year?” Yan Qingcheng, after all, was a returnee from overseas. The name of this Lin surname student seemed familiar, but she couldn’t recall where she’d heard it at the moment.

”I’m eighteen this year!” Lin Zifeng said calmly, as if he really was eighteen.

”Eighteen?” Yan Qingcheng’s lovely eyes swept over him, feeling that this guy had an aura of a rascal, not at all like a student.

”Yes, that’s right,” Lin Zifeng said earnestly.

”I think you look more like twenty-eight?”

”That’s an issue with your eyes, not my age.”

”You—you’re really eighteen?”

”Yes, if you don’t believe me, you can check my information,” Lin Zifeng pointed out.

”Rest assured, I take a serious look at the information of any student from the Archaeology Department. Of course, you all are the future hope of the Archaeology Department. Thus, I will pay extra attention to you all,” Yan Qingcheng said with an air of confidence, puffing up her chest proudly.

In an instant, there was an uproar below.

A mere dozen animal-like students began clapping enthusiastically, clapping their hands vigorously in applause for Yan Qingcheng’s words.

”Teacher, we love you!”

”Teacher, go for it! Our future is in your hands. You are my role model for finding a partner in this life—”

”Teacher, our latter half of life is entrusted to you. You have to take responsibility for us!”

...

As soon as Yan Qingcheng spoke, she immediately won a round of applause from the entire classroom. Everyone clapped and cheered, and some even started to say things that made Yan Qingcheng blush.

However, for a sea-turtle lady like Yan Qingcheng,

What kind of men hadn’t she seen overseas?

Yan Qingcheng previously majored in archaeology at Cambridge University, with a minor in law.

At just twenty-two years old, she had already obtained a double master’s degree from the United Kingdom.

She was renowned at Cambridge University, not only for her excellent academic achievements but also for her beauty, which was widely talked about at Cambridge University.

She was referred to by the local student body as the most difficult Eastern woman to pursue.

During her time at Cambridge, Yan Qingcheng had received an indeterminate number of love letters.

Even though love letters are not very trendy now, they still represent a different meaning to those romantically inclined students at Cambridge.

Not long ago, Yan Qingcheng returned to her country.

All the male students held a grand farewell party for her, with countless British lads teary-eyed, even on the eve of her flight. The airport almost erupted in turmoil. One could only imagine Yan Qingcheng’s charisma overseas...

Five years had passed, and upon returning to the familiar campus once more, Lin Zifeng could no longer feel that naive taste of youth, but rather felt like Zhou Xingxing’s character in the movie ”Fight Back to School.” Stepping back into campus felt like re-entering prison.

When class finally ended, Yan Qingcheng suddenly spoke in a serious tone, ”Military training starts tomorrow. Please, everyone, make the necessary preparations. Don’t you dare lose face for our Archaeology Department!”

Yan Qingcheng didn’t seem to be directing her words at anyone in particular, but when she came to the end of her sentence, her glance seemed to unintentionally flicker in Lin Zifeng’s direction.

This left Lin Zifeng feeling speechless.

Someone had arranged for Lin Zifeng’s dormitory today, but Lin Zifeng was not accustomed to living with these young kids. So as soon as class was over, he ran off faster than a rabbit.

Without even saying goodbye, he headed straight for home.

Who knew what kind of melodramatic scene might unfold at the evening self-study—

Fortunately, Huahua and the others were staying at the school these days, which saved Lin Zifeng a lot of worry.

He took out his mobile phone, which showed several missed calls. After checking the numbers displayed, Lin Zifeng made a call.

”Hey, Big Brother, everything is arranged for tonight. When will you come over?”

Lin Zifeng had to admit that Black Hawk was incredibly efficient.

”I’ll be right there,” Lin Zifeng said.

”Big Brother, I feel like there’s something off tonight. What do you think, should we meet with them another day?”

According to what Lin Zifeng had previously told Black Hawk,

Considering Lin Zifeng’s safety, Black Hawk had secretly been observing the other party for a while, until the appearance of an old man on their side and the skilled individuals around him. Black Hawk felt that tonight’s banquet was somewhat unreliable. Who knew what trick the other party might be planning to pull.

”No need, what’s meant to come will come sooner or later; hiding is not a solution,” came Lin Zifeng’s calm voice from the other end of the phone.
