After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1496: Chapter 1500: Did You Miss Mom?

Leng Zimo knew she was going to be busy, but he didn’t expose her. He just reminded Ah Jiu to take good care of her.

After leaving the hospital, Luo Xiaoqian immediately instructed Ah Jiu to take her to the photography studio.

There were several endorsements coming up, and one was quite urgent, requiring her to get the new promotional photos done as soon as possible.

The entire day was filled with busyness.

In the afternoon, Leng Zimo sent someone to call, saying that he had an examination tomorrow and couldn’t eat that night and that she should just go home to rest instead of going to the hospital. Luo Xiaoqian was busy until past seven before she finished work and returned to the farm.

Xu Xia had already left, and Leng Zirui had just finished bathing the little guy and was about to coax him to sleep.

”Mom!”

Upon seeing Luo Xiaoqian, Luo Jun immediately jumped off the bed and ran to her.

Recently, he had grown used to having her around, and suddenly being apart for so long made the little guy miss her a lot.

”Did you miss Mom?!” Luo Xiaoqian bent down and hugged him. ”Sorry, Mom was too tired yesterday and accidentally fell asleep at Dad’s place.”

”Mom, wait a minute!” The little guy broke free from her embrace, turned around, ran to his small cabinet, opened the top drawer, pulled out a box, and offered it to Luo Xiaoqian. Then, he opened the box and took out a bank card. ”Here, Mom, use this.”

This card was one she had previously opened for him, containing his competition prize money.

”Why are you giving this to Mom?!” Luo Xiaoqian was puzzled.

The little guy looked up earnestly and said, ”Isn’t Mom really short of money? You can use this prize money. Sell my car; I can take the bus to school. And that record Mom promised me can be bought later...”

He was still young and didn’t understand what was going on.

But from catching snippets of their conversations, Luo Jun had already noticed that Luo Xiaoqian was working hard to make money. He didn’t have any concept of how much money was, yet he was still trying his best to help her in his own little way.

”No need!” Luo Xiaoqian smiled, holding his little face, ”Mom will figure it out herself.”

”How can that be? Dad said I’m a man and should take good care of Mom!” Luo Jun insisted with a determined face.

Looking at his face, which bore a seventy percent resemblance to Leng Zimo’s, and his stubborn expression, Luo Xiaoqian felt a warmth in her heart. ”Okay... Mom will take this bank card; you don’t have to sell your car. The money in this card is already enough.”

”Really?”

”Really, coincidentally, Mom is just short of fifty thousand US Dollars, and your prize money seems to add up to just that amount.” Luo Xiaoqian said on purpose.

”Great.” The little guy clearly let out a sigh of relief.

Seeing his demeanor, Luo Xiaoqian felt both comforted and distressed. She immediately reached out to hold him tightly in her arms. ”Mo Mo, thank you for relieving Mom’s urgent needs!”

”You’re welcome.” The little guy replied with a smile in her arms.

Luo Xiaoqian picked him up and placed him on the pillow. ”Now you don’t have to worry, get a good night’s sleep.”

Beside them, Leng Zirui watched the two interact with warmth in his heart, and seeing Luo Xiaoqian coax the little guy to sleep, he left the room.

A moment later, Luo Xiaoqian had settled Luo Jun and came out.

The two went into the study diagonally across the room, and Leng Zirui took out a bank card from his pocket and handed it to her.

”There’s almost fifty million inside; you can use it first.”
