After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1452: Chapter 1456: A Tank of Piranhas

”Where did this come from?!” Jiao Yang walked into the office, casually closed the door, and stared at the enormous fish tank that was even taller than him.

”I bought it.” Mo Wen, who was bent over standing in front of the coffee table, turned around, still holding a large bouquet of flowers in a vase. The flowers seemed to have just been sprayed with water, glinting with a gorgeous sheen in the sunlight.

”But this is my office.” Jiao Yang frowned and turned his face.

He had never kept any pets before, let alone such a massive fish tank that almost became a part of the wall. He hadn’t even kept a single green plant in his office.

”I know!” Mo Wen shrugged, ”These are my gifts to you.”

”Gifts for me?” Jiao Yang’s voice was filled with doubt. He took a close look at the fish in the tank. Unlike ordinary ornamental fish, these looked quite fierce. ”What kind of fish are they?”

”Piranhas.” Mo Wen’s voice came faintly from behind him.

First day at work, and the assistant gifts the boss a tank of piranhas?!

What kind of assistant had he hired?!

Jiao Yang turned his face away from the fish tank and looked at Mo Wen, who was standing by the window, ”Are you sure?”

Mo Wen had already placed the green plant on his desk and was turning to face him, ”These fish are easy to care for.”

Their gazes met in the air.

Perhaps because it wasn’t convenient to work, ”he” had even taken off the suit jacket, wearing only a white shirt, with the tie loosely hanging, which gave off a lazy vibe. The two buttons at the collar were undone, clearly revealing two collarbones.

Jiao Yang raised his eyebrows slightly. This man could pull off a plain white shirt and make it look so... sexy?!

Damn, he actually found a man sexy?!

Jiao Yang redirected his gaze and walked toward his office, ”Remove these things from my office before work tomorrow. I never want to see them again.”

”That might be a bit difficult. The fish tank is already fixed to the wall. It’d be quite troublesome to remove, and these fish can’t be released; it would disturb the ecological balance.”

Jiao Yang lifted his face, his gaze passing over the large bouquet and landing on Mo Wen across the room, ”Either the fish go, or you go!”

”Alright then, I’ll go kill them right away and throw them into the sewer.” Mo Wen turned and walked toward the fish tank, grabbing rubber gloves from a bucket on the floor, about to stick his hand into the tank.

”Wait!” Jiao Yang reluctantly stopped him, ”Forget it, let’s just keep them for now. I wouldn’t want you to get injured on your first day at work.”

As far as he knew, piranhas’ teeth could easily tear through those rubber gloves, and he didn’t want Mo Wen to hurt his hand trying to catch the fish.

Mo Wen, with his back to him, curled his lips, ”Well then, shall I leave now?”

”Take the flowers with you,” Jiao Yang said.

”Those are my gifts to you.” Mo Wen turned his face back.

Just as Jiao Yang was about to speak, someone knocked on the door.

Mo Wen immediately walked over and opened the door.

Outside the door stood a tall woman wearing the latest summer fashion, with a beautifully made-up face.

”President Jiao...” The woman smiled immediately upon seeing Jiao Yang and prepared to walk into the office.

A hand with a rubber glove fanned out, blocking her path.

”Who are you?” Mo Wen asked.

The tall woman raised her hand to remove her sunglasses, looking at Mo Wen with a face through the lenses, ”You don’t even know who I am?!”
