After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 897: Chapter 901: Reward of 1 Grape

”Okay, I’ll wash some fruit and come up!”

Agreeing, Luo Xiaoqian took some fruit from the refrigerator, washed it, put it in a fruit platter, and went upstairs to Luo Jun’s room. The first round between the two had ended.

”Who won?!” Luo Xiaoqian sat on the carpet beside Luo Jun, holding the fruit.

”Of course, I did!” Luo Jun said proudly.

”Impressive!” Luo Xiaoqian gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then stuffed a grape into his mouth. ”Here’s a grape as a reward.”

”So sweet.” Luo Jun chewed on the grape, looking challengingly at Leng Zimo, ”Want to go again?”

”Watch me beat you without a trace,” Leng Zimo smiled.

So, the two started again, and ultimately, Leng Zimo won.

”Where’s my reward?” Leng Zimo looked at Luo Xiaoqian with a smile that wasn’t entirely innocent.

Seeing the ambiguity in his eyes, Luo Xiaoqian pretended not to understand, offering up a grape with her hand, ”Here, it’s yours.”

He opened his mouth, swallowing the grape while pulling her fingers to his lips, the tip of his tongue grazing her fingertips, making her shiver slightly.

She hurriedly pulled back her fingers, and he turned back to the TV screen, ”Mo Mo, let’s go again!”

...

Turning around, over half an hour had passed. After winning yet another game, Leng Zimo glanced at the watch on his wrist. He set down the game controller, ”It’s eight-thirty, Mo Mo, time for bed.”

Luo Jun put down his game controller and stood up from the carpet, ”Uncle Zimo, can you finish telling me the story you didn’t finish?”

”Of course!” Leng Zimo bent down to pick up the little guy from the floor, ”Come on, let’s go hear the story and sleep.”

As the two men left, Luo Xiaoqian cleaned up the fruit and other items on the floor, switched off the TV, and walked to the door. She reached her bedroom door, gently pushed it ajar, and saw the little guy lying on the pillow, with Leng Zimo lying beside him, telling him a story.

Smiling, she closed the door tightly and went downstairs to tidy up the kitchen.

When she finished washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen, Leng Zimo also came downstairs and entered the kitchen, ”Mo Mo’s asleep.”

”You’re amazing. I always have to coax him for a long time before he falls asleep.” Luo Xiaoqian took off the gloves from her hands and stood at the sink to wash her hands.

He walked over and stood behind her, his arms naturally wrapping around her waist from behind, ”That’s because he knows today is different from usual!”

His breath was just by her ear, his warm chest right behind her, separated by thin fabric. She could feel his warmth and chest’s firmness, making her heart race wildly, her back tightening all at once.

”I’ve been thinking about you.”

His kiss naturally fell on her neck, sealing it there.

”Zimo.” She was startled and turned around in a fluster, ”You...”

His arms were propped up on the sink, trapping her between the sink and his body. Not forceful, yet not allowing her a chance to escape.

Their eyes met, and it felt as though the entire world had suddenly become silent.

She heard her heart pounding, thundering urgently in her chest, seemingly ready to jump out at any moment.

”You owe me something, don’t you think it’s time to repay it?” His gaze on her eyes was expectant, making it hard for her to refuse.

She straightened up, raised her palm to hold his face. Her hand was still damp from washing her hands earlier—cool, yet her palm was soft, carrying a warm temperature, resting on his face with a distinct blend of cold and heat.

Rising on tiptoe, she gently kissed his lips.
