After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 857: Chapter 861: Learning How to Be a Dad

Holding Luo Jun in his arms, Leng Zimo walked into Luo Xiaoqian’s room. He took the little guy straight to the bathroom, seated him on a small stool, and prepared warm water in the bathtub. After carefully testing the water temperature, he removed the boy’s clothes and placed him in the tub.

”What story do you want to hear?”

”One I haven’t heard before.”

”One you haven’t heard before?” Leng Zimo smiled, ”I guarantee you haven’t heard my story. A long time ago, there was a King. He was a very powerful man... Later, the King met a very cute and special girl. He fell in love with her...”

The story Leng Zimo was telling Luo Jun was none other than the plot of his newly produced movie ”Magic Realm”.

The little guy had watched this movie with Luo Xiaoqian, but he was too young to understand the plot back then. Now, listening to Leng Zimo’s narration, he was completely enthralled. Compared to fairy tales, such a story was evidently newer and more interesting to him. Even when Leng Zimo wrapped him in a towel and placed him in bed, he continued to ask questions.

”What happened next? Did they get married?”

”No, just as they were preparing to get married, the Queen was framed by the villain, and the King mistakenly believed the villain’s words...”

”Why would the King believe the villain? Didn’t he love the Queen very much?” The little guy asked, puzzled.

”That’s because the Queen knew the villain’s plot, so she lied to the King.”

”Then the Queen wasn’t wrong. Mom said that you can lie when you meet bad people. The King should forgive her.”

”Of course!” Leng Zimo pulled a thin blanket over the little guy and lay down beside him, ”Later, the King realized he was wrong. He deeply regretted it, and led his troops to rescue the Queen.”

”And then they lived happily together, right?”

”Yes, and they had a cute little boy...” Leng Zimo gently stroked the soft hair of the little guy, continuing the story, ”This boy was brave and strong like his father... Later, the little boy became the next King...”

Beside him, little Luo Jun’s small body leaned against him, having fallen asleep during his narration.

Leng Zimo looked down at him, the little guy only dressed in thin sleepwear, his small body pressed against Leng Zimo’s chest.

He was so small, so soft, still carrying a faint milky scent of the bath gel, his tender little face appearing like a doll under the soft light.

Looking at the little one before him, Leng Zimo’s heart was filled with an indescribable love.

”If only you were my son.”

Whispering softly, he bent down and kissed the boy’s hair, watched him carefully for a while, then cautiously got up, turned off the bedside lamp, and walked out of the bedroom.

He tiptoed downstairs, into the living room, where he took out his phone and dialed Luo Xiaoqian’s number.

”Is it convenient for you to take my call?”

”I just got back, I’m in the guest room now.” Luo Xiaoqian’s voice came through immediately, ”Did Mo Mo fall asleep?”

”Just fell asleep.”

”Thank you so much.”

”Not at all, I enjoy spending time with him.” Leng Zimo glanced upstairs, ”I have a question. I wonder if you mind me sleeping in your bed. I promised Mo Mo to sleep with him, and he chose your bed.”

”Of course, it’s okay. But, will it affect your rest?”

”It’s no problem, I’m just trying to learn how to be a dad.” Leng Zimo walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the night view outside, ”The temperature difference is significant in the west, remember to wear more clothes in the morning and evening. If it’s too rushed, we can go to the hospital another day. Don’t exhaust yourself, Mo Mo has me and John, so don’t worry...”
