After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 883: Chapter 887: Miss Land Rover, What a Coincidence

”Jiao Yang, you will regret treating me like this!”

Tongtong’s hand recoiled as if shocked by electricity, grabbed her handbag, and hurriedly left.

”Regret?!” Jiao Yang shrugged his shoulders, ”I kind of regret inviting someone like you to act for me in the first place.”

”I’m going to the restroom.”

Luo Xiaoqian stood up with her handbag, just bypassing Sha Man when she saw a girl hurriedly coming towards her. She quickly moved to the side, but the girl didn’t even glance at her and walked away briskly.

The girl looked vaguely familiar, but Luo Xiaoqian couldn’t quite identify her at that moment and didn’t pay much attention. She proceeded towards the restroom and soon came back out, noticing a man emerging from a private room from a distance.

Despite not seeing him for years, Luo Xiaoqian immediately recognized him—it was Jiao Yang.

Startled, she quickly hid behind a green plant, watching Jiao Yang head up the stairs. Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief, emerging from behind the plant and returning to Leng Zimo’s table.

”Can we leave now?” Leng Zimo immediately stood up with a smile when he saw her return.

”It’s still early; let’s sit for a while longer.” Luo Xiaoqian, anxious about encountering Jiao Yang downstairs, dared not leave and instead sat down opposite him again. ”Has Xu Xia been free lately?”

”Tomorrow is the last concert of her Beijing tour, then her tour will end. I’ll have her arrange some time for you.”

”That’s great! To be honest, I think this collaboration will be significant for her as well—it should help her break into the European and American markets.”

”Coincidentally, the company is planning to release an English album for her, so this will serve as a warm-up for her entry into the European and American markets.”

While the two were upstairs discussing Xu Xia, Jiao Yang had already gone downstairs.

With his car keys in hand, he headed towards his car, noticed the white Land Rover parked next to his, and after taking a few steps, retreated. He examined the license plate of the Land Rover, then looked at the dent on the rear; he smiled faintly.

”Miss Land Rover, what a coincidence!”

Upstairs.

Luo Xiaoqian glanced at the watch on her wrist, ”Zimo, it’s getting late, shall we head back?”

After more than twenty minutes had passed, she thought Jiao Yang must have left by now.

”Alright.” Leng Zimo stood up, ”You can have your people contact EM directly tomorrow regarding Xu Xia, I’ll put in a good word for you.”

Luo Xiaoqian gave him a mischievous smile, ”Then thank you very much.”

Leng Zimo returned the smile, ”It’s a win-win situation, I should be thanking you instead.”

The two walked downstairs, chatting and laughing, and Leng Zimo settled the bill; they then left the restaurant together.

”My car is in the parking lot across the street,” Luo Xiaoqian pointed to the direction where her car was parked.

As she had arrived late, there weren’t many spaces available downstairs at the restaurant, so she had no choice but to park her car in the lot across the street.

”Let me walk you over!” Leng Zimo offered.

”No need, don’t you have to catch a flight tomorrow? Go back early and get some rest!” Luo Xiaoqian stopped him, ”I’ll give you a call once I get home.”

”Alright then!” Leng Zimo handed her the bag he was holding, ”Take care on the way.”

Watching him get into his car and back into the traffic lane, Luo Xiaoqian waved to him through the car window, observing his car blend into the traffic before crossing the street towards her car parked in the lot.

Just as her hand touched the car door handle, a lazy male voice sounded behind her.

”Miss Land Rover, what a coincidence!”
