After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 871: Chapter 875: The Undefeated Rose, Eternal Love

”Mom!”

Luo Jun had already unfastened his seatbelt and jumped out of the car, throwing himself into her arms.

It had only been a few days, but the little guy had already missed her so much. Luo Xiaoqian missed him too, and immediately spread her arms to pick him up from the ground, planting kisses all over his face.

Leng Zimo also got out of the car and walked up to her, ”There was an emergency at the company today, so I took Mo Mo with me to work overtime. We just finished, so I thought I’d come to pick you up.”

Handing him her purse, Luo Xiaoqian frowned slightly, ”Wasn’t John there?”

Knowing she was worried that Mo Mo would be a distraction, Leng Zimo smiled, ”We happened to be near the company, and the little guy was very well-behaved. He didn’t disrupt my work. Let’s get in the car.”

Holding the little guy, Luo Xiaoqian got into the back seat. Leng Zimo placed her suitcase in the trunk, then returned to the driver’s seat and started the car.

”Mom, Uncle Zimo took me to visit Uncle Zirui today. We had Western food, and I got to play with a gun!”

”Really?!” Luo Xiaoqian looked utterly surprised.

”Mo Mo said he wanted to see a shooting range, so I took him there,” Leng Zimo explained from the front seat.

”Uncle Zirui is really nice. We took a helicopter ride, and he said next time, he would let me try piloting a fighter jet!”

The little guy chatted excitedly, and although Luo Xiaoqian listened to him talk about Leng Zirui, she felt a twinge of concern.

Leng Zirui knew about her departure. Would he suspect anything?

Since he was still small and had limited energy, the little guy started to get sleepy while talking. Clinging to her chest, his voice slowly faded until he was breathing softly in sleep.

Just as Luo Xiaoqian was about to take off her coat, Leng Zimo pulled over and handed her his suit jacket. Looking at the sleeping little guy in her arms, he apologized sincerely, ”Sissi, I’m sorry.”

”You have work and still help take care of Mo Mo, I’m grateful to you!” Luo Xiaoqian smiled at him warmly, ”It must have been hard on you.”

”Being with him is a joy,” Leng Zimo replied with a smile as he resumed driving the car.

Afraid of waking the little guy, they didn’t say another word, falling into a quiet mutual understanding.

Now and then, Leng Zimo would glance at the rearview mirror, meeting Luo Xiaoqian’s gaze.

Meeting his eyes, Luo Xiaoqian blushed and quickly looked down, using the pretext of adjusting the little guy’s cover.

When they arrived at the lakeside villa, John had already come out to greet them. Taking the little guy from Luo Xiaoqian’s arms, Leng Zimo carried him upstairs while she followed to help arrange the bed and undress the little guy, making sure he was settled before they gently tiptoed downstairs.

Leng Zimo took out Luo Xiaoqian’s suitcase from the trunk, and John courteously carried it inside, understanding that they needed a moment alone, and headed upstairs.

Outside, Luo Xiaoqian retrieved her handbag from the back seat.

”Zimo, thank you. I’ll see you around noon tomorrow.”

”Wait,” Leng Zimo said, opening the front door and taking out a box, ”This is for you.”

Curiously, Luo Xiaoqian took the box and opened it.

Inside, lying on white velvet, was a bouquet of crystal roses.

Under the light, the ruby red rose petals twinkled with a clear brilliance.

On the velvet pad was also a beautiful handwritten message—Unfading roses, eternal love.
