After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 873: Chapter 877: Do You Really Not Plan to Sing Anymore?

Luo Xiaoqian breathed a sigh of relief as she heard Leng Zimo had no problems, ”Thank you for today!”

”You’re too polite!” The doctor smiled as he put the film in the medical case, his gaze falling on Luo Xiaoqian, ”Pardon my intrusion, but are you really not planning to sing anymore?”

”I...” Luo Xiaoqian never expected he would ask such a question, her heart flustered, she quickly said, ”You must be mistaken, I can’t sing at all!”

Not waiting for the doctor to say more, she hurriedly pulled Leng Zimo’s arm, ”Let’s go!”

The doctor just assumed she didn’t want to reveal her identity, and didn’t ask further, just politely sent the two out the door.

As they walked to the parking lot, getting in the car, Luo Xiaoqian sneaked a glance at Leng Zimo, feeling slightly anxious, ”That doctor was strange, he must have recognized you and thought I was a star too.”

Leng Zimo didn’t care too much about this question. His face being recognized often was not unusual, he just smiled, ”Maybe!”

Seeing him drive the car out of the hospital without showing much difference, Luo Xiaoqian finally relaxed a little.

Turning the car onto the expressway, Leng Zimo suddenly spoke, ”Actually, your vocal tonal quality is great, it would be a pity not to be a singer with that voice.”

”Me?!” Luo Xiaoqian laughed, ”I’m not fit for singing...”

”How could that be? I heard your humming in ’Tomorrow’, that wordless part must have been sung by you, right?”

”That, that was because... the company had limited funds at the time and couldn’t hire a good singer, so I was pushed to do it...” Luo Xiaoqian didn’t want to discuss this matter too much with him, she really wasn’t good at lying in front of him, she was very worried he would see through her nervousness, ”Why don’t we listen to some music?!”

She reached out and turned on the car radio.

”Hello listeners, this is ’Beijing Music Station’s Golden Years’, today our theme is nostalgia, and we will bring you some old songs. The next song was a hit in China and even throughout Southeast Asia five years ago, I wonder how many people still remember it...”

As the host’s voice ended, a familiar melody flowed out of the speakers.

That song was her famous track ”Dropping Lip”.

Listening to the familiar prelude, Luo Xiaoqian panicked and quickly reached out to turn off the radio.

”Everyone is so nostalgic these days, it’s really annoying!”

Leng Zimo chuckled, ”What’s wrong with old things?”

”Not that they’re bad, it’s just... people should look forward more, don’t you think?”

”Exactly!” Leng Zimo took a deep breath, ”That’s exactly what I wanted to tell you.”

”What?” Luo Xiaoqian looked over in surprise.

At the red light, Leng Zimo stepped on the brake, stretching out his right hand to gently cover her hand.

”The past is the past, forget about that jerk, from now on, I’ll take good care of you and Mo Mo!”

Mo Mo had told him that Luo Xiaoqian often had nightmares, and he naturally assumed it was the scars from Mo Mo’s father that still lingered in her heart, so he said this.

”That jerk?!”

Luo Xiaoqian was momentarily stunned, then realized who he was talking about, and couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

Oh Leng Zimo, if only you knew, the jerk you’re talking about is you!
