After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 879: Chapter 883: Thanks to My Eldest Grandson

L&L meeting room.

”Alright, that’s decided then!” Luo Xiaoqian closed the materials in her hands. ”Linlin, contact Emperor View tomorrow to discuss the collaboration with Xu Xia. Everyone else, get everything ready and be prepared to start filming next Monday. Good job, everyone. Meeting adjourned, we’re off!”

Everyone immediately got up, packed their things, and said goodbye to her.

Luo Xiaoqian returned to her office, casually took a pack of cookies out of the drawer and took a couple of bites. She then sat down in front of the computer to finish some remaining tasks and reviewed the work plan for tomorrow. She picked up the computer bag on the desk, turned off the lights, and walked out of the office.

Carefully locking the main door, she turned around to leave. But as she turned, she saw someone standing not far down the hallway.

The person, already in his sixties, stood straight and tall, wearing a well-fitted grey Zhongshan suit.

Luo Xiaoqian’s fingers trembled, and the keys in her hand almost slipped and fell.

”You...”

Leng Lin looked at the visibly flustered and thin woman in front of him, his eyes filled with heartache. He took a step forward to her, carefully examining the girl in front of him. His tone was slightly reproachful but couldn’t hide the choke in his voice.

”You silly girl, how much longer are you planning to hide?!”

Filled with a sudden wave of grievance, Luo Xiaoqian pursed her lips and threw herself into the old man’s embrace.

”Dad, I’m sorry!”

Raising his arm, he hugged her back and gently patted her on the back to comfort her. ”Silly girl, it’s Dad who should say sorry, sorry to you and your mother and son!”

Luo Xiaoqian’s tears had already burst forth, but she hadn’t completely lost her senses. Quickly lifting her face from his embrace, she looked worriedly behind him. ”Did... Did you come alone?”

Leng Lin saw the guard and tension on her face. ”Don’t worry, no one knows.”

”Good.” Luo Xiaoqian took out a tissue to wipe away her tears. ”Let’s go inside and talk.”

She opened the office door again, let Leng Lin in, carefully looked outside, and then closed and locked the door tightly. Leading Leng Lin into her office, she offered him a seat on the sofa and then brought him a cup of tea.

”Don’t be busy, sit down.” Leng Lin patted the empty spot next to him.

Luo Xiaoqian walked over and sat beside him. The usually formidable and decisive woman in front of her subordinates was now as awkward as an inexperienced young girl. Leng Lin’s sudden appearance was completely unexpected for her.

”How... how did you know?”

”Thanks to my eldest grandson. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t have known you were in Beijing!”

”Mo Mo?!”

”Yes, he looks so much like Zimo. Did you think you could hide it from me?”

Luo Xiaoqian smiled faintly and a bit awkwardly. ”I... I didn’t expect Zimo would take him to see you.”

Raising his hand, he took her hand in his. Leng Lin spoke earnestly.

”I know, you must have had your reasons back then. But it’s been five years. Are you really planning to keep hiding?” He looked tenderly at Luo Xiaoqian in front of him. ”If it’s Zimo’s fault, I’ll help you hit him, scold him...”

”Dad, no, it’s not his fault!” Luo Xiaoqian’s tears couldn’t be held back any longer. ”I... I have other reasons.”

”Silly child!” Leng Lin patted her hand with heartache. ”Is there anything you can’t tell us, so we can think of a solution together?!”

”I...” Luo Xiaoqian bit her lip. ”Since things have come to this point, I’m not afraid to tell you the truth. I... I really had no other choice at the time, they forced me!”
