After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 594: Chapter 598 The First Confrontation [4]

”It’s a video of you and Luo Xiaoqian...” Su Jin pursed her lips, cautiously choosing her words, ”It was in a hotel room.”

Leng Zimo’s eyes flickered with a strange light, but his face remained impassive.

”Are you trying to blackmail me?”

”No, no, absolutely not. If it were for money, I would have run away a long time ago!” Su Jin hastily took out her cell phone from her pocket, pulled up the message history, ”This USB drive was given to me by someone else, and that person also transferred five million to my account. Look, here is the message history between us two!”

Leng Zimo took the cell phone she handed over and looked at the message history between her and the ”mysterious person,” his eyebrows furrowing deeply.

”That...” Uneasily watching his expression, Su Jin carefully defended herself, ”My response was just to try to draw the other party out, don’t take it seriously, I never intended to betray you and Xiao Qian from start to finish.”

Though indeed Su Jin had thought about posting the video online, at the last critical moment, she still held back.

The reason was nothing else but fear, she was truly frightened of Leng Zimo.

This man was too terrifying.

Initially, she took the photos and gave them to Zhang Hua. Despite all the tactics he used, in the end, Leng Zimo found him out. The result was Zhang Hua still in prison to this day, and her, effectively put on ice to what she is now.

If this time she did as the mysterious person instructed, to escape Leng Zimo’s sphere of influence, she would have to leave the country.

But even five million, let alone ten million is just frittering away how long can it last?

She was never good at managing finances, plus she was prone to overspending; otherwise, she wouldn’t be in her current situation of having little savings. Su Jin knew she lacked capabilities; if she hadn’t been with Emperor View all these years, she would have been finished long ago.

Now, all she hoped for was that President Leng could see her proactive approach this time and give her another chance at life.

If she continued to be put on ice like this, she would really be close to being down and out.

”President Leng, I admit my mistakes regarding the past issues. You and Xiao Qian are generous, please don’t hold it against me.”

”Who is the mysterious person?” Leng Zimo asked.

”I don’t know either. This person has never called me and always contacts me through messages. I’ve tried to call back, but the other side never picks up. And about that five million, I’ve checked, and the bank said it’s from some foreign account and that they couldn’t trace the person’s information.” Su Jin picked up a large envelope from beside her, ”But, I’ve brought everything the mysterious person gave me, aside from the USB, there’s this too, a photocopy of the contract I signed with Emperor View.”

Leng Zimo took the envelope, glanced at it through the transparent bag, but did not take it out.

”Is there anything else besides these?”

”There’s nothing else, really nothing!” Su Jin looked at him eagerly, ”I just glanced at the data on the USB, I promise you, I haven’t made any copies, President Leng... I... I am sincerely trying to make amends, I... I just hope you see my genuine remorse and give me a way out. These days at home, I’ve been reflecting on my actions every day, I truly realize my mistakes.”

Leng Zimo glanced at her across the table, picked up the USB from the table and put it into his suit pocket, ”Tomorrow have your agent report to the company to see if there’s any work suitable for you.”
