After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 560: Chapter 564 The Unique Birthday Gift【4】

Rushing back to Emperor View, Luo Xiaoqian gave the gifts she brought back from Italy to Xiao Zhou and the others, and then hurried to a portal website for an exclusive interview.

The promotion for the album had already begun, and to whet the fans’ appetite, the company also specially released some behind-the-scenes footage.

When the interview finished it was already seven o’clock in the evening. Declining the website staff’s invitation, Luo Xiaoqian went downstairs with Yu Tong to the parking lot.

Yu Tong helped her open the passenger door of the Mercedes, ”You sit in the front?”

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t mind, and just yawned tiredly before sitting down in the car seat. Yu Tong then helped her close the door.

”Where’s Lin Ye?”

As she buckled her seatbelt, she casually asked.

”He’s off work.” The voice that came to her wasn’t Gao Jie’s.

”Zimo?!” Luo Xiaoqian turned her face and, looking at Leng Zimo sitting in the driver’s seat, she was pleasantly surprised, ”Why is it you?”

”I couldn’t wait to see you at home, so I came over directly,” Leng Zimo said with a smile as he started the car, ”Let’s go, back home!”

The Mercedes drove out of the parking lot, and Luo Xiaoqian leaned back in her seat. Initially talking to him about the interesting things that happened on her trip, her voice gradually lowered and before she knew it, she fell asleep on the car seat.

These past few days, she really was too tired.

Noticing she had fallen asleep, Leng Zimo pulled the car over to the side of the road, took his coat from the back seat to cover her, and then continued driving home to World City. He carried her home and used a warm towel to wipe her hands and face, and helped her out of her clothes.

During this time, Luo Xiaoqian was like a doll, with closed eyes, letting him do as he pleased.

Pulling the thin quilt over her body, Leng Zimo sat beside her with a helpless expression.

This girl, her guard was way too low. What if it wasn’t him, what if it was a bad person?

On the pillow, Luo Xiaoqian’s hand already reached out, groggily grabbing his palm.

”Zimo, I’m really so sleepy, just a little longer, just a short while... Put my phone by the bed, don’t forget, the phone...”

Listening to her mumbled voice, Leng Zimo’s lips curved into a faint smile.

So, she knew it was him, that’s why she was so unguarded.

Bending down to kiss her forehead, Leng Zimo stood up, turned off the main lights, took her phone from her purse downstairs, and placed it on the bedside table before he went into the study. He had put aside his work temporarily to pick her up, and now, of course, he needed to continue with it.

By the time he finished his work and came back to the room after washing up downstairs, it was close to midnight. To not disturb her, he was careful with every move, even when getting into bed.

Just as his head touched the pillow, the phone on the bedside table suddenly started shaking and ringing.

In the quiet midnight, the ringtone was extremely jarring and noticeable; even Leng Zimo was taken aback for a few seconds before he reacted, grabbing the phone to check the alarm displayed on it and promptly turned it off.

Before he could put the phone down, Luo Xiaoqian, who had been sleeping like a little piggy, was already getting up.

Leng Zimo reached out to hold her shoulder, ”It’s just the alarm, continue sleeping.”

Luo Xiaoqian raised her arm, rubbed her eyes, and then leaned on his shoulder, planting a kiss on his face. She then turned and climbed out of bed, and without even putting on shoes, headed towards the door.

”Where are you going?”

Leng Zimo, worried, jumped out of bed and grabbed her arm.

This girl, she wasn’t sleepwalking, was she?

”It’s a secret!” Luo Xiaoqian raised her face, still marked by the pillow, and smiled at him, ”Just wait, don’t follow me!”
