After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 588: Chapter 592: The Person Who Betrayed Luo Xiaoqian [3]

Leng Zimo gave an order, and three people turned around to leave, going to retrieve the data.

Walking over, he straightened the loose collar of the sportswear on Luo Xiaoqian before Leng Zimo strode towards the door.

”Let’s go to the conference room!”

...

...

In the conference room.

Except for the sound engineer and his assistant who were abroad, all the staff involved in the recording of Luo Xiaoqian’s album had arrived.

Everyone’s faces were tense, as such an incident meant that every member of the team should bear some responsibility.

After all, this matter was of great significance, and had Leng Zimo not stepped in to defuse the situation, the impact on Luo Xiaoqian could have been fatal.

Entering the conference room, Leng Zimo gestured for Luo Xiaoqian to sit in the assistant’s seat beside him while he took the main seat.

Casting a glance at everyone, his gaze landed directly on Zhuo Yannan.

”As the leader of the team, I bear an inescapable responsibility for this matter!” Zhuo Yannan stood up, frowning as he began, ”I know now is not the time for such talk, I just want to say that from the beginning until now, we have been following the company’s confidentiality protocols. The initial sample selection of tracks and the final outcome are quite different, and the version that the other party released is exactly the same as the modified version on the album, so I believe the leak of the tracks happened during the album recording process, not at the initial selection of songs.”

”I agree,” Yu Tong nodded in approval.

”This time, who was responsible for saving the songs, for archiving and deleting files?” Leng Zimo asked.

”It was me,” Zhuo Yannan pursed his lips, ”No matter whether everyone believes me or not, I want to say that I didn’t do it.”

There was silence in the conference room.

”I believe Yannan,” Luo Xiaoqian’s voice wasn’t loud, but in the quiet conference room, it was notably clear, ”I trust this team, and I don’t think anyone would betray me. It’s more likely that someone else wanting to target me has tampered with something.”

Her tone was very calm, not purely subjective.

She had seen for herself how everyone had been working hard for her these days.

Zhuo Yannan’s child was sick, yet he insisted on not taking a single day off, only leaving the recording studio late at night, just to copy the data immediately to prevent any errors from occurring.

”So, Yannan, during the post-production process, was there anything amiss?”

Leng Zimo asked calmly; he had been at Emperor View for several years and still recognized Zhuo Yannan’s work ability.

”During post-production, Xiao Zhao and I were almost always there; all the work proceeded under our supervision, and once finished, we would immediately request that all data be deleted,” Zhuo Yannan explained.

”Actually, there are times when deleted data from a computer can be recovered using certain technical methods,” Xu Pei interjected from across the table.

Zhuo Yannan immediately refuted, ”That possibility should not exist because we never actually transferred the data to their computer backend. Instead, completion was under shared access, and moreover, since the album’s ten tracks were split across two recording sessions, these four songs that were leaked were coincidentally completed in two rounds, at different companies for post-production. Even if the other side had stored some of the data, they couldn’t have all the data for all four songs.”
