After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 564: Chapter 568 Zimo’s Birthday Banquet【3】

As soon as the two entered, Shen Yizhou stood up from the sofa.

”Yo, the birthday boy arrives fashionably late!”

”Perhaps someone was busy rolling between the sheets, it’s already good enough that they’ve made it here,” Leng Zirui joked with a laugh on the side.

Tong Ya, who had been sitting on the sofa, immediately laughed, ”Zirui, watch your mouth a bit, Xiao Qian is shy.”

”Alright then,” Leng Zirui put down the playing cards he was fiddling with, ”then I’ll pick someone with thicker skin. Sister Tongya, Qin Lan and Huangfu Ruo are about to get married soon, my brother has found a sister-in-law, aren’t you and Brother Yizhou also due to tidy up and move in together?”

”Cut it out, can’t you be serious? You’re still single yourself, what right do you have to meddle in my business!” Tong Ya gave him a dismissive glance, then laughed and patted the seat next to her, ”Xiao Qian, come, come sit, don’t mind this evil spirit. One of these days, we’ll find a Fahai to take care of him!”

”Fahai won’t do, we need a Bai Suzhen!” Shen Yizhou said with a laugh, making room for Luo Xiaoqian to sit.

As the young people chatted and joked, Father Leng had already come down from upstairs. Luo Xiaoqian immediately greeted him; Leng Zimo, who was sitting on an armchair, saw him and stood up too, ”Dad, please sit here.”

Hearing the long-lost word ”dad,” not just the people in the room, but even Leng Lin was stunned for a moment before he realized what was happening.

”Good, good, good!”

He said the word ”good” three times before he walked over and sat down on the armchair.

Shen Yizhou and Tong Ya looked at Leng Zimo sitting next to Luo Xiaoqian and exchanged knowing smiles.

The relationship between father and son, as of today, had finally been fully restored with that one word, ”dad.”

Just as everyone had settled down, the door was pushed open again.

Tai Lan and Huangfu Ruo walked in hand in hand, with Tai Lan holding a delicately wrapped gift.

”Come on, let’s see what the big star has brought as a gift!” Leng Zirui stood up, wanting to take the package from Qin Lan’s hand, but Qin Lan swung his hand and tossed the item to Leng Zimo.

”Don’t rush, this is for you!” Next to him, Huangfu Ruo smiled and took something out of her bag, handing it to him.

”My Ruoruo is the best to me.” Leng Zirui opened the gift and immediately rolled his eyes, ”You’ve got to be kidding, a wedding invitation for me while giving him a gift? Just waiting for me to dish out a red envelope.”

”Nonsense, if you skimp on it, when my baby is born, I’ll make them call you ’uncle’!” Huangfu Ruo said unapologetically.

Apart from Qin Lan, they had all grown up together in the same courtyard; Huangfu Ruo and Leng Zirui were a few years younger than Leng Zimo and the others, and they had been playing together even before kindergarten, closer to each other than to anyone else.

”No way!” Leng Zirui looked at her belly, ”Is this a shotgun wedding?”

”Of course, remember to give a double red envelope since I’ve decided not to hold a month-old celebration,” Huangfu Ruo said with a smile.

The rest of the group showed their surprise and delight upon hearing this news.

”Come on, come sit on the sofa!” Luo Xiaoqian and Tong Ya both walked over to help Huangfu Ruo to a seat on the sofa, and Luo Xiaoqian asked curiously, ”How many months along?”

”Just over a month, both of us only found out a few days ago!” Huangfu Ruo glanced at Qin Lan sitting opposite, ”Hurry up, hand out the wedding cards; coupled with Xiao Qian and Brother Zimo not yet married, let’s collect those double portions!”

They were all amused by her again, and Qin Lan took out the wedding notices from her bag to distribute to everyone.
