After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 583: Chapter 587: Plagiarism Controversy [5]

The loud noise finally subdued the chaos around, and as Leng Zimo suddenly appeared, the crowd quieted down instantly.

After a moment, the reporter came back to his senses.

”Mr. Leng, don’t you think that you’re going too far?”

”Accusing and bullying my woman without getting to the bottom of the truth, don’t you think that’s going too far?” Leng Zimo coldly retorted.

”Luo Xiaoqian is a disgraceful thief. She stole someone else’s work. She deserves it.”

Someone in the crowd muttered loudly.

Leng Zimo’s eyes narrowed slightly as his gaze slowly moved over and landed on that person’s face.

”Are you a fan of Luo Xiaoqian?”

”I used to be, but not anymore!” the person averted his gaze, not meeting his eyes, ”Because she doesn’t deserve it!”

”Hmph!” Leng Zimo scoffed, ”Seeing the person you respect and like being bullied by others and yet you join in to kick her while she’s down, you don’t deserve to listen to her songs.”

As his gaze swept over the crowd, Leng Zimo spoke up again.

”Security, guard both exits. Before the police arrive and the truth is uncovered, no one is allowed to leave!”

The security guards immediately sprang into action, moving away from Luo Xiaoqian’s side, rushing towards the two exits.

”President Leng?!” A staff member approached him and whispered, ”They have evidence.”

Leng Zimo glanced at him, ”Stand aside, and after this matter is resolved, you can resign from Emperor View.”

”Zimo, you can’t do this!” Xu Pei said, displeased.

Leng Zimo turned his gaze towards her, ”So you’re saying, you don’t believe Luo Xiaoqian either?”

”I really want to believe her, but the other party has the complete demos of several songs. Don’t you think all this points to Luo Xiaoqian as the liar?” Xu Pei challenged.

Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face from his embrace, her hands nervously clutching at his shirt, ”Zimo, I didn’t, I really didn’t.”

”I believe you.” Leng Zimo withdrew his gaze from Xu Pei and embraced her as they walked towards the chairperson’s stage, ”Everyone, take your seats!”

Walking up to the chairperson’s stage, his icy gaze fell on the young man with the guitar.

”You, stay on stage!”

That man possessed an imposing authority.

The reporters and fans scattered and went back to their seats.

Leng Zimo led Luo Xiaoqian back to the chairperson’s stage and lightly gestured, after which the host immediately passed him the microphone.

”Emperor View Group never tolerates any wrongdoing by its artists. If it turns out that Luo Xiaoqian really plagiarized, according to our policy, she will be banned indefinitely and bear the legal responsibilities. And I, will apologize to all fans, the media, and the public,” after seating Luo Xiaoqian in a chair on the chairperson’s stage, Leng Zimo calmly surveyed the crowd, ”However, if it is proven that she didn’t plagiarize, then I want all of you to apologize to her, to me, and to Emperor View.”

Once again, his gaze fell on the young man as he spoke calmly, ”Give him a microphone.”

Immediately, a staff member passed a microphone to the young man.

”Now, I want to ask you, you said that you encountered Luo Xiaoqian while busking. So tell me, when exactly and in what location did this happen, and who can attest to your claimed acquaintance?”

The young man gripped the microphone nervously, ”It was probably the beginning of the year, I forgot the place, there were so many people in the subway tunnels, how would I know who was there at the time!”
