High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 785: Chapter 133: Conversation between the Male Witch and the Female Witch_1

The person speaking was Doctor Du Zemu.

Basking in the pleasure of his recent chat with the witch, the young scholarship student had completely forgotten that he was currently in Doctor Du Zemu’s small courtyard. Naturally, he had also overlooked the little courtyard’s owner who had conditionally reserved his silence.

Jiang Yu seemed startled by Doctor Du Zemu’s sudden commendation too, but her reaction was much less noticeable than the young wizard’s.

”You didn’t think so just now,” the witch glanced at the doctor and remarked with a smirk, ”You said that without absolute certainty, one shouldn’t take risks. Changing your views so rapidly is not what a true Alchemist should do.”

Doctor Du Zemu obviously hadn’t expected the witch to challenge him, and he found himself speechless. Seeing his predicament, Constantin, who had been standing by, went forward a few steps, took the paper box from Zheng Qing’s arms, and then began walking towards the nearby small building.

Dr. Du Zemu heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing this, ”You guys talk, I’ll go and perform some examination...very quickly, it’ll only take a few minutes. No need to come over, you don’t need to...”

As he hastily went towards the small building, he waved his hand backward, signaling the young wizard not to follow him.

Zheng Qing originally wanted to accompany the doctor to see what they could do, but he changed his mind due to the doctor’s warning. Considering he would not be of much help, might actually cause more trouble, and that he still had a witch beside him, he decided to continue chatting with Jiang Yu instead of following the doctor.

Jiang Yu did not continue to tease Dr. Du Zemu about what he had said earlier - instead, she wrapped herself tighter in her cloak and turned her gaze to the young scholarship student again.

”Who have you invited for your opening ceremony? Any special performances arranged? Is there a buffet on-site?” She seemed very interested in D&K, persistently inquiring about the details of the store opening, which left Zheng Qing feeling a little overwhelmed.

”We just have a small shop, very small,” Zheng Qing laughed awkwardly, raised his left hand, indicated a small length with his thumb and forefinger, and emphasized, ”It’s about this small. The entire shop can’t even host that many visitors, so we don’t have the capital for grand events or any on-site programs.”

”You haven’t invited many guests then?” The witch seemed somewhat disappointed.

”We shall invite guests of course, but not too many.” When Zheng Qing got to this point, he stopped to look at the witch and said, ”You will be going, right? We are familiar enough that you wouldn’t expect me to give you an invitation, right?”

Jiang Yu laughed, seemingly about to chuckle, but she seemed to have felt it would be impolite and ended up coughing a few times instead.

”You are really something, refusing to even give out one invitation card!” She couldn’t hold it back any longer and burst out laughing, ”Your store hasn’t even opened yet and you’ve already begun to save on costs. Meng Meng was planning to visit your store, but it seems like she can’t rely on you now.”

”Business is business, friendship is friendship. We need to keep each thing in its own place.” The young scholarship student puffed his chest, trying to maintain a grave tone, and said, ”The world of gold is a harsh world, without warmth...”

”It’s a pity that you aren’t working for the fairies. The way you just spoke is exactly like the style of the current president of Sam’s Pass.” The witch laughed and snidely remarked, ”I remember that banks around our school frequently recruit interns. Perhaps you might consider applying during the summer vacation.”

”Internship?” Zheng Qing immediately brightened, ”Do they require first-year students? Is there a salary? Will they take care of board and lodging? Can we bring pets to work? I mean, if I put Poseidon in the guest room, will they mind?”

Jiang Yu looked at him as if he was an alien.

”Your thoughts leap too quick!” the witch commented, ”I don’t run a bank, how would I know the conditions for interns...Furthermore, it is still more than half a year until the summer vacation - you certainly don’t need to think that far ahead!”

”What’s more, by that time, your D&K may be doing exceptionally well, and you may not have time to look for an internship.”

After hearing her words, Zheng Qing, who’d had a somewhat gloomy expression, brightened up, quickly bowed his head and formally thanked her with a grin, ”I’ll take your kind words to heart... Do come to the opening ceremony, we have prepared some lovely souvenirs!”

”You haven’t mentioned who all you’ve invited.” Feeling the chill in the air, the witch stomped her feet, wrapped her cape more tightly, and looked at the wizard with a smile, ”I’m guessing Elena is definitely going, right?”

Zheng Qing was hesitating about whether he should find a coat for the witch from his gray cloth bag, but after hearing her comments, he felt an inexplicable bitterness, and his original thoughts were swept away.

”She may have other things to do... So she might not be able to come.” The wizard spoke in a casual tone, but quickly added, ”However, we have invited a large number of guests, so it definitely won’t be deserted.”

While he was speaking, he started to count on his fingers, ”First of all, we have invited all the members of the Absolution hunting team, they are all definitely going to come.”

”Then, from our university, we invited people from the same year level such as Nicholas, Liu Fei Fei, Tang Dun, Duan Xiao Jian; and from Alpha University, there are Andrew, Julian, Nanjian, Nankai - these are friends I met during the freshman competition, all very outstanding hunters.”

”There’s also Dylan from Starry Sky University - he’s our roommate and an excellent vampire werewolf. Although he is a member of Absolution, you have likely rarely seen him, as his working hours are the opposite of Matthew’s: he’s nocturnal. And there’s Omega too, who owns the Yota restaurant on Pedestrian Street - we’re sort of neighbors now.”

”I don’t know many people from Atlas. I’ve only invited two: a little monk called Shi Yuan, who was seated next to me during the incoming flight, and Amber who is the forecaster in Andrew’s hunting team - very formidable.”

”Additionally, we’ve invited older students like Deng Xiaojian and Qi Qinglan of the Judgment hunting team. They were a great help to our team during the freshman competition... If there are no surprises, they will likely bring Hoffman along too.”

”Oh, Zhang Ji Xin also called his older brother, Uncle Zhang Zhi, from university team one, but if Lei Zhe isn’t satisfied with our small store, his brother might not come.”

”Well, I also invited several parrots from the student union, the ones right up front in the administrative building. They’re familiar with us and they’re very resourceful. If we don’t invite them, we will certainly be harassed next time we enter the administrative building.”
