High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 95: Chapter 19 Alpha’s Rest Room_1

Alpha Academy has a large number of students from wizarding families.

These ancient families, with histories spanning hundreds and thousands of years, have accumulated a multitude of complex rules and preferences.

For example, the student restrooms.

Unlike the communal restrooms of Jiuyou Academy or Starry Sky Academy, Alpha Academy has a large number of small private restrooms.

These restrooms are built and decorated by different wizarding families and leased by them for an extended period. Alpha Academy allows these families to hang their family emblems on the restroom doors.

Every wizard family that has an independent restroom in Alpha Academy takes pride in this.

Due to the different wizard families building and leasing them, the styles of the restrooms vary.

For example, the historically rich Black family, which inherited the usual flamboyance and decline of the ancient Blood Race, has a restroom rich in Rococo style. The newly established, aggressive Karen family, a young generation of vampires, prefers the more luxurious Baroque style.

The Ness family is a small wizarding family with a pure bloodline. Due to some historical factors, they have a close association with the Karen family. Under the arrangement of the Karen family, Arthur Ness, studying at this Alpha Academy, has a private restroom.

This restroom is small but decorated luxuriously.

The dome is piled with elaborate reliefs, the surrounding walls are decorated with different colors of marble, gemstones, bronze, mithril, and other materials, creating a sense of satisfied repression for everyone sitting in the restroom.

However, the current oppression in the restroom is not brought about by these extravagant architectures.

It is caused by the overly stifling conversational atmosphere in the restroom.

A guest who has been invited, has used a nearly impolite tone for the host of the restroom - Mr Arthur Ness.

No matter from which angle, this conduct seems somewhat impolite. In the arrogant and prejudiced Alpha campus, an uneducated student can make everyone look down upon them.

Sipping his lips lightly and inhaling gently, Arthur looked at Sima Yi.

”What should we do then?” he asked a bit sternly.

Despite being informed by his family elders that all divination specialists from the East tend to have a bit of a mad-scholar style, he is still unable to accept the frivolous tone of Sima Yi just now.

”Change the way you bully juniors. Let them no longer be juniors in the commonly understood sense.” Sima Yi seems to be oblivious to the suppressed atmosphere in the restroom.

He put down the scroll in his hand, looked at everyone, and smiled.

”No longer juniors?” Kitano Gen repeated in confusion.

”Yes. Not juniors.” Sima Yi shook his head and suddenly raised a question, ”Everyone knows, Duke Milton from the Blood Race council previously pursued studies in the First University.”

The students in the restroom all revealed faces of reverence.

Arthur Ness also slowly nodded his head.

Duke Milton is the present patriarch of the Karen family, a name that commands respect from everyone in this restroom.

”Duke Milton also started as a freshman. If, I mean if.” Sima Yi emphasized, ”If, on the pedestrian street of Beta Town, those fighting you were the newly admitted freshman, Lord Milton, would there be any disgrace in this fight?”

Arthur Ness’s eyes lit up.

”Being guided by the lord is our honor,” declared Kitano Gen on the side.

”It is our honor,” repeated Sima Yi, sweeping his gaze across the restroom:

”What we should be discussing now is not how to lessen the gossips, but how to reduce the damage. From today on, I don’t want to hear you slander these brilliant freshmen anymore. Instead, I want to hear more positive things at the fraternity get-together after evening self-study.”

Arthur Ness seemed to start understanding Sima Yi’s intention.

The expression on his face was as if he had swallowed a large fly.

”Can we ignite other topics on campus to cover up this matter?” Still against praising those kids, Arthur struggled to ask.

Few people would praise the one who humiliates them.

”Inferior means,” rejected Sima Yi. ”Like I said earlier, no plan can avoid the fact that you all were suppressed by a group of freshman.”

”I know it’s tough. But you must overcome it, not avoid it. Like a spell of inertia, the longer you avoid, the more powerful it will be when it explodes.”

”The more powerful it is, the greater the loss will be.”

”This restroom can no longer afford to have a greater loss.”

”You need to down this bitter cup before the matter fully ferments,”

”Remember, drink it with a smile.”

Arthur·Ness nodded in silence.

The other members in the lounge heaved a light sigh of relief.

As long as they can resolve this issue quickly, others wouldn’t mind flattery for their opponents.

That night.

New information started to spread from the private parties of the veterans, quickly spreading throughout the entire campus.

”That guy who conjured the magical talisman is said to be from a lineage of the sacred ground of Kunlun.”

”So, Zhang Ji Xin is actually from that Zhang family. I knew his fighting style was familiar.”

”That swordsman from Starry Sky Academy, he’s wielding a high-level magic artifact!”

The students had a keen interest in gossip.

These bits of information effortlessly spread around, growing stronger as they traveled.

In the process of spreading, many real pieces of information were inadvertently added by others.

This left Arthur and his companions pleasantly surprised.

For example, the boy named Zheng Qing, turns out he’s a full scholarship student! It’s said that during the first talisman test, he made an unprecedented feat that left the young lecturer faint!

The short bespectacled male student is a specially recruited student, who entered Jiuyou Academy with zero points on the college entrance exam! Needless to say, scores and grades are the ultimate truth in exam-oriented Jiuyou Academy.

Now, someone has shattered this truth!

”It’s an unexpected surprise.” Sima Yi summarized.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to get people to acknowledge something, no one pays attention. But the waves that you want to quell, they keep resurfacing.

Jiuyou Academy, Dorm Room 403.

”What should we do?” Zheng Qing looked rather pleased but also quite distressed as he held the invitation in his hand, looking towards his roommates.

This was already the Nth invitation he received within a week.

Accordingly, during this period, he also received thirty-seven duel invitations.

Although he managed to dodge a part of the duels by various means, he still inevitably accepted four of them.

And those four opponents, who were weaker than him, blew his already overrated fame even higher.

Zheng Qing was at his wits’ end.

He looked up at the window.

Perhaps it was because of the cloudy weather, there was no moon in the sky.

In the dorm room, the swaying florescent light tube on the ceiling cast a cold, dead-white glow, filling the entire room with a chilly atmosphere.

The curtains of Dylan’s six-pillar bed were still tightly closed, some suspicious creaking sounds came from behind it.

It sounded like someone chewing on bones?

Zheng Qing pretended not to hear the noise, struggling to focus his attention on the invitation before him.

At the desk, Xiao Xiao also had a pile of invitations in front of him.

”There’s no way around it.” Xiao Xiao scratched his chin with a troubled expression, while sketching on his black notebook: ”Just be content. Blue Bird has already fought twenty-four duels these days.”

”I had no idea you’re a Taoist heir apparent from Kunlun!” Xin Fat Man said in a disgustingly sycophantic tone, squeezing out a fawning smile on his face: ”Bless me with a few of your ghostly talisman drawings.”

”Scram!” Zheng Qing looked pissed, grabbed Tuan Tuan, who was sniffing the withered chrysanthemum on the table, and ferociously threw it at Xin Fat Man.

Immediately, the dorm room was thrown into chaos.
