Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 362: Chapter 197: The Most Heartfelt Words of Love (Part 2)

In her heart, he finally became more important than money?!

Unexpectedly, Lawrence Winters smiled and said, ”Of course, it’s true! Money is dead, but you’re alive! With you, I can make even more money!”

Kenneth Osborne: ...Not comforted at all.

He calmed himself, collected the teasing look on his face, and said lightly, ”Nora, I know I can’t compare to the heirs of those wealthy families right now.”

Although not explicitly stated, Kenneth Osborne felt that Lawrence Winters should be able to hear who he was referring to, yes, it was that second-generation heir, Edward Foster.

Lawrence Winters didn’t think about Edward Foster at all, she just shook her head and said with certainty, ”Kenneth, you’re much better than those heirs. What’s the point in being a second-generation heir? If you’re going to be rich, be the first generation!”

She patted Kenneth Osborne’s cheek cajolingly and continued, ”For example, someone like you, Kenneth, you earn your own money and spend it how you like. Isn’t that much better than those second-generation heirs?”

Kenneth Osborne was just about to continue feeling touched when Lawrence Winters said, ”Look at my uncle, he earns a lot, but does it have anything to do with me? He only knows how to take hefty commissions, and his wealth is built on cruel exploitation of me!”

Kenneth Osborne: ...

These words sounded a bit awkward.

Kenneth Osborne coughed lightly and said, ”...Lawrence, business is business, Uncle Zhang is a good businessman, and besides, the money he earns, isn’t it left to you in the future?”

”That’s a different matter.” Lawrence Winters differentiated clearly, ”Kenneth, we’re the same type of people. We don’t want to be second-generation heirs; we want to be the parents of second-generation heirs!”

Kenneth Osborne: ...He was moved.

This was the most touching love talk he’d ever heard Lawrence Winters say.

Kenneth Osborne watched her enjoy the moment and then continued, ”This money actually has something to do with Joyce Shaw as well.”

Lawrence Winters looked up at him, her brows slightly furrowed, ”...What does it have to do with Joyce Shaw?”

”Hmm.” Kenneth Osborne wasn’t going to discuss the details of where the money came from, but the handling of it needed to be explained to Lawrence Winters.

He continued, ”I got this money through a trade using an AI robot program. If it weren’t for standing up for Joyce, I wouldn’t have done it.”

Lawrence Winters somewhat understood, she looked steadily at Kenneth Osborne and said, ”So?”

”So I was thinking of setting aside fifty million to create a trust fund for Joyce’s unborn child. When the child grows up, they can receive both the principal and the interest.” Kenneth Osborne keenly observed Lawrence Winters, worried she might be upset.

Fortunately, Lawrence Winters wasn’t stingy to the point of being miserly.

She nodded without hesitation and said, ”That’s appropriate. Besides, we’re friends with Joyce and Helen, we should help their child if we can.”

Only then did Kenneth Osborne feel at ease and said, ”Then get up and come with me to find Helen, see how she’s doing, and by the way, let’s set a time to sign the trust fund documents.”

Before the child reaches adulthood, the trust fund documents definitely need to be signed by the child’s guardian.

Lawrence Winters quickly agreed.

She asked Kenneth Osborne to leave first, got up swiftly, washed up in the bathroom, changed clothes, grabbed something to eat, and then went out with Kenneth Osborne.

The two drove on the road for a while before Kenneth Osborne asked Lawrence Winters to call Helen and ask where they were staying.

Lawrence Winters started dialing Helen’s phone number, and after a while, Helen finally answered.

Her voice sounded a bit groggy, as if she had just woken up.

Lawrence Winters quickly said, ”Helen, how are you?”

Helen heard Lawrence Winters’ voice and slowly came to her senses, laughing, ”I’m okay, how about you? Have you recovered?”

Lawrence Winters had rested at home for a week, her head was still a bit uncomfortable, so she took an additional two weeks off to make sure she was truly recovered before returning to work.

She was very concerned about her health.

But Lawrence Winters wouldn’t tell Helen her real physical condition, to avoid worrying or making Helen blame herself.

She laughed lightly and said cheerfully, ”I’m fine, nothing’s wrong today, so Kenneth and I wanted to visit you, is that okay?”

Helen quickly nodded, ”Sure! Sure! Why wouldn’t it be?! I was just hoping for someone to talk to...”

Lawrence Winters sensed a hint of depression in her voice and quickly said, ”I’ll come over right away; what’s your new address?”

Helen sent the address to her phone.

Upon seeing it, Lawrence Winters realized it wasn’t in the city, but a scenic spot in the western outskirts of the Capital City.

She clicked her tongue twice, sent the address to Kenneth Osborne, and said, ”Francis Johnson is quite something, look at the maternity place he found for Helen, much better than in the city.”

Kenneth Osborne saved the address in his phone, started the GPS, and drove over.

On the way, he felt a car seemingly following them and, sensing something, immediately dialed Francis Johnson’s number.

Francis Johnson picked up relatively quickly this time, asking cheerfully, ”Kenneth? What’s up?”

Kenneth Osborne wore a Bluetooth headset and spoke softly, ”I’m driving over to see Helen and noticed a car seems to be tailing me.”

Francis Johnson chuckled, asked for the license plate number of the car tracking him, and then laughed, ”They really chose the wrong place to wander. Alright, I got it.”

”So we can go see Helen?” Kenneth Osborne quickly asked, ”I don’t want to cause trouble for her.”

Francis Johnson said, ”We moved her to give her a pleasant place for her maternity, not to imprison her so she can’t see anyone. It’s fine, go ahead. I’ll take care of those following you.”

Since Francis Johnson said so, Kenneth Osborne had no choice but to trust him.

But with Lawrence Winters sitting beside him, he dared not be careless.

Lawrence Winters was quietly sitting by his side, only gazing forward with a smile without saying a word.

After Kenneth Osborne hung up the phone, he glanced at Lawrence Winters and asked, ”...Nora, it seems like there’s a car following us, are you scared?”

Lawrence Winters blinked her big eyes, reached out, and playfully tapped him on the head with a grin, ”Kenneth, with me here, let me show you what Little Heavenly Master can do!”
