Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 353: Chapter 193: Sword in Hand, Daring to Bind the Azure Dragon (Third Update)

The Spencer Group’s board members were immediately interested, ”Is SSA Private Equity really interested in Wayford Intelligence?”

”Absolutely!” Justus Spencer passionately waved his hand, ”Think about it, AI Vision Promise is a new company established this year, with no products yet, only having received a hundred million in angel investment from SSA Private Equity.”

”Now AI Vision Promise has obtained bank credit evidence and is purchasing Wayford Intelligence at twice the price, which clearly shows that Wayford Intelligence is more profitable than we imagined!”

The Spencer Group’s board members, originally in real estate, were not very familiar with this high-tech artificial intelligence field.

Although Justus Spencer made an impassioned case, they still planned to learn more.

Justus Spencer became anxious and said, ”Wayford Intelligence only gave me a week to consider. What if they decide to choose AI Vision Promise?! Honestly, if someone offered such a price, I would choose the higher bidding company too!”

This was the truth.

The board discussed and decided to have the Spencer Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Spring Spencer, come in to ask her, ”How is the Spencer Group’s financial situation, especially concerning cash and debt capability?”

Spring Spencer, well acquainted, said, ”Up to the last quarter, our Spencer Group’s cash stands at ten billion, very abundant, with all sorts of bank credit proofs effective, short-term debt at ten billion, and no long-term debt.”

”Really? We do not have long-term debt?” The board members were delighted, ”That implies the company’s borrowing capacity is still sufficient.”

”Indeed.” Spring Spencer said with a smile, ”A few days ago, presidents of several major banks invited me to dinner, asking if our company needed any loans. They all know our Spencer Group is a quality company, lending us is a win-win transaction that is bound to make profits without losses.”

”This is quite good.” The board of Spencer Group discussed, saying, ”Spring, go and compile how much we could borrow from a bank if we need to seek long-term debt.”

Then, they told Justus Spencer, ”You go and ask Wayford Intelligence, see how much they are willing to sell for. I think between AI Vision Promise and our Spencer Victory, Spencer Victory’s qualifications should stand out more?”

”Certainly!” Justus Spencer quickly explained, ”Victory is our Spencer’s wholly-owned subsidiary, which is equivalent to our Spencer Group acquiring Wayford Intelligence.”

”Although AI Vision Promise is backed by SSA Private Equity, SSA Private Equity is just an investor in AI Vision Promise and not the owner, that’s the biggest difference!”

Spring Spencer was making calls to banks on her side, and soon got a positive response, telling the board, ”I’ve contacted several banks, and they can provide us with at least fifty billion in long-term debt loans.”

Justus Spencer was delighted and said, ”Then I’ll go see Wayford Intelligence’s owner and see what his price expectation is.”

...

The board meeting concluded, and Justus Spencer hurried north, wanting to personally meet Wayford Intelligence’s owner, Luke Stern.

However, in the company headquarters’ parking lot, he was once again blocked by several burly men.

”Boss Spencer, you said you’d help us find someone, how’s that going?”

Still the same two tattooed men he had seen in the Capital City’s parking at his home.

He thought these were the people looking for trouble with Joyce Shaw’s grandmother, little did he know that those people had long since inflicted harm upon themselves.

”Don’t worry, I have already found someone, I will have news in a couple of days.” Justus Spencer said hastily, ”I need to go to the airport, once I’ve reached the Capital City I will contact you.”

Those men were not pleased, trying to shove him around in the parking lot until the Spencer Group’s security saw and quickly came to his rescue.

Only then did the men let him go, cursing, ”Boss Spencer, remember! We work for you, don’t you burn the bridge after crossing!”

Justus Spencer’s face changed dramatically, hurriedly saying, ”What nonsense are you spouting?! Hurry and leave now!”

The security, though curious, pretended not to hear anything. Once they left, he opened the car door and let Justus Spencer get in.

This time, Justus Spencer took his private plane to the Capital City to meet Luke Stern.

Luke Stern invited him to dine at the most luxurious restaurant in the Capital City, sounding completely different from last time in their conversation.

Justus Spencer was anxious, unable to eat, asked him, ”Boss Stern, didn’t you say twenty-five billion last time? Let’s negotiate, how about twenty billion?”

”Twenty billion? Haha...” Luke Stern laughed, ”Then let’s just eat.”

No intention of negotiating further.

Justus Spencer became more worried, ”Boss Stern, what do you mean by this? I have come all the way from the Southern Region with sincere intentions.”
