Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 361: Chapter 197: The Most Heartfelt Words of Love (First Update)

Kenneth Osborne calmly left Wayford Intelligence Company and returned to his car.

He didn’t go back to his own company but went straight home.

Just like that day, he especially wanted to see Lawrence Winters.

Lawrence Winters was still asleep at this time, sleeping like a scruffy cat, unbearably cute.

Kenneth Osborne sat by her bed, just watching her sleeping face, unable to help but smile.

However, Lawrence was quite alert. Even though she was still dreaming, she could feel someone watching her.

She lifted one eyelid, sleepily glanced over, and thought it was Kenneth Osborne.

Thinking she was dreaming, she rubbed her eyes and was about to turn over to continue sleeping, only to find she couldn’t move as if someone had pinned her down.

Startled, Lawrence opened her eyes and found it was indeed Kenneth Osborne.

She was stunned for a few seconds, then numbly said, ”Why are you back? What time is it? Oh my gosh! Did I sleep until evening?!”

Kenneth laughed, pinching her peachy cheeks, ”No, it’s still morning.”

Lawrence let him pinch her face, sat up on the bed, leaned her head on his hand, and asked with a smile, ”Why did you come back so early?”

”Because there’s something good I want to share with you,” Kenneth said gently, ”You won’t find me annoying, will you?”

Lawrence pursed her lips and smiled, without speaking, but shook her head.

As she shook her head, her peachy face swayed in Kenneth’s palm, making his hand itch.

Kenneth withdrew his hand, pulled her into his arms, and smiled lightly, ”When I’m happy, I want to share with you. When I’m unhappy, I want to share with you. Even when I’m bored, I want to share with you. —You really don’t find it annoying?”

Lawrence again smiled and shook her head, saying, ”... Not annoying at all. But why?”

”Because I like you...” Kenneth lowered his head to kiss her on the lips.

He had just come back from outside, his lips were soft, a little cool, with a fresh scent like grass and sunshine.

Lawrence was enchanted by this scent, and when Kenneth was about to end the kiss, she pulled down his head, rubbed his lips, and murmured, ”I like kissing you too.”

Kenneth: ”...”

Was this an attempt to seduce him?

Then he’d like to see if it’s his charm or ”money” that’s more enticing.

Kenneth chuckled softly, then suddenly said as she was taking a breath, ”I just signed an acquisition contract and made a billion.”

Lawrence, who was a bit dazed from the kiss, instantly snapped awake at the words ”a billion.”

Her usually dark eyes gleamed with a rare sparkle.

She stared at Kenneth, overwhelmed with joy, her voice almost breaking, ”What?!—A billion! Damn! Am I really not dreaming?!”

Kenneth, both amused and resigned, simply sat on the edge of her bed, leaned against the headboard, placed his arms behind his head, and looked at her with a smile, ”Bite yourself to see if you’re dreaming.”

Lawrence really lifted her arm and bit down.

Kenneth’s body reacted faster than his mind. Before he knew it, one hand was holding the back of Lawrence’s neck, pulling her back.

The other hand held Lawrence’s arm, seeing two rows of tiny teeth marks on her fair and rosy arm.

Kenneth: ”... You really bit yourself? Such little courage.”

Lawrence didn’t feel the pain anymore. She looked at Kenneth with wide eyes and said nervously, ”Brother Kenneth, if you become rich, don’t forget about me!”

”Wow! I knew you’d make big money! But I didn’t expect it to happen so soon! So early! — I’m not ready yet! I haven’t even brushed my teeth!”

Kenneth, appreciating her nonsensical confession, felt an unparalleled thrill of joy.

”You’re already my girlfriend, my money is your money.” Kenneth hugged her, pressed his face to her forehead, and continued, ”However, this money belongs to AI Vision Promise, not me. But don’t worry, if I can make the first billion, I can make the second, and the third...”

Lawrence nodded enthusiastically, sitting in Kenneth’s arms, looking at him with a face full of adoration, saying, ”... I know, I know! Brother Kenneth, you’re awesome! Brother Kenneth, you’re amazing! I really like you!”

Kenneth predicted her reaction, but witnessing it brought a blend of laughter and irony.

He smiled and asked, ”Do you like me, or do you like my money?”

Without hesitation, Lawrence said, ”Of course, I like you!”

Kenneth could hardly believe his ears, his heart racing: ”... Really?!”
