Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 207: Chapter 120: Nice to Meet You, Please Take Care of Me (Second of Two, Extra-Long)

Kenneth Osborne smiled without speaking, followed her into the store, and quickly, with the help of the salesperson, picked out a few cars in nice colors, test-drove them one by one, and finally selected a deep iron-gray Model X.

”Look at this logo, doesn’t it look like an alien spaceship descending from the sky?” Kenneth Osborne showed a hint of youthful vibrancy and interest when he was looking at the car he liked.

Having been taken care of by Kenneth Osborne growing up, Lawrence Winters always felt he was too composed, beyond his age. This current demeanor was just right.

She smiled and walked around the car in a circle, inspecting it very carefully from all sides, then took out the Big Five Emperors Coins and threw a divination.

Kenneth Osborne saw this and laughed, ”You even have to divine for this?”

”It’s for you, the best outcome! Just buy this one!” Lawrence Winters pointed at the car, already completely in love with it.

Kenneth Osborne also liked this car very much. It started smoothly, without noise, and accelerated on par with a sports car, offering top-notch performance.

Moreover, it was energy-saving and environmentally friendly, aligning well with young people’s values.

”Let’s go with this one. You stay here, I’ll find someone to get the invoice.” As Kenneth Osborne spoke, he went inside with the salesperson to negotiate the price.

Lawrence Winters wandered alone in the 4S store, especially taking a long look at the newly launched Tesla Cybertruck.

The design was so futuristic that Lawrence Winters could imagine the era where interstellar travel relied on flying...

”Hey? Isn’t this our PR Department’s spokesperson? Also here for car maintenance?”

A hand reached over from behind, attempting to pat Lawrence Winters on the shoulder.

Lawrence Winters quickly dodged, turned gracefully, and saw it was her somewhat unreliable new superior, Edward Foster.

”Oh, it’s you, Director Foster? Are you here for maintenance?” Lawrence Winters laughed, not answering Edward Foster’s question.

Edward Foster didn’t mind, laughed, and said, ”Had a bad morning, scraped with someone, came for repairs.”

Lawrence Winters clicked her tongue twice, ”Which model Tesla does Director Foster have?”

”Take a guess,” Edward Foster squinted, ”Guess right and I’ll give you one.”

Lawrence Winters crossed her arms in front of her chest, ”Oh my, how could I...,” as she decisively said, ”It’s the Cybertruck! Right?!”

Edward Foster laughed nonchalantly, ”What if I say no?”

”Then you’re welching on the bet.” Lawrence Winters shrugged, spread her hands, and said, ”There’s nothing I can do about that.”

”Impressive!” Edward Foster gave her a thumbs-up, ”Tell me how you guessed.”

”It’s simple. Your outfit today is too punk; only this attire matches a Cybertruck.” Lawrence Winters glanced at Edward Foster’s left earlobe, which sported a rust-colored earring, a style that could be considered very rock and avant-garde.

”Just that simple?” Edward Foster widened his eyes, ”I lost this bet too wrongly! But I keep my word, I’ll give you a Cybertruck!”

Although Lawrence Winters very much appreciated the post-modern design of the Cybertruck, it didn’t mean she liked it that much.

Furthermore, this car was so expensive, nearly matching her annual salary.

Lawrence Winters shook her head with a smile, ”Thanks, Director Foster, but if you truly want to honor the bet, why not convert it into a contract signing bonus for me.”

She would never accept such an expensive gift from a man, but according to the company’s contract signing bonus, it would be different, as it was a proper salary income and her due.

Edward Foster raised his eyebrows in surprise, ”Oh, you really don’t want it? - If you don’t want it, then it’s gone!”

”Then feel free, I never expected to earn a car from a casual remark... Profiting easily would damage one’s character,” Lawrence Winters said nonchalantly, ”My friend is over there, I’ll go find him.”

Saying this, she prepared to head in the direction Kenneth Osborne had gone.

”Hey, don’t go, keep me company for a bit.” Edward Foster abruptly grabbed her arm, ”There’s a cafe over there, the muffins here are excellent, want to try them?”

”I already had breakfast, I’m not hungry now.” Lawrence Winters subtly lifted her hand, deftly freeing herself from Edward Foster’s grasp.

Edward Foster squinted his eyes, preparing to speak when a gentle female voice sounded from behind him, ”Ah Foster, you’re being mischievous again.”

The voice was exquisitely pleasant, like it came with its own echo effect, as if singing, lingering in the air long after.

Lawrence Winters couldn’t help but be curious, peeking over for a look.

A very well-cultured middle-aged woman stepped out from behind Edward Foster.

She wore well-fitted white slim straight-leg cropped pants paired with Christian Louboutin red-soled shoes, her legs so straight they seemed measured with a ruler.

Her upper body donned a black-and-white houndstooth blazer, revealing an ivory silk blouse underneath, the large ruffled collar perfectly offsetting the blazer’s seriousness and rigidity, a Van Cleef & Arpels Five-Flower necklace graced her swan-like neck, subtly exuding refined luxury.
