Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2399: Chapter 2400: No Need to Wait Until Then

An Baobei, however, upon hearing these words, blushed deeply, put down the scissors and flower branches, wiped her hands, and walked over, softly complaining when she reached Ning Zihan’s side, ”Why are you telling children about this?”

Ning Zihan looked at her flushed face, a smirk on his lips, ”They won’t understand anyway.”

Little Su Xing immediately protested with a pouty and childish voice, ”Who said we don’t understand! We like sister too!”

Ning Zihan chuckled, raising an eyebrow at An Baobei, ”I told you they wouldn’t understand.”

An Baobei felt a bit shy and speechless, sat down next to Ning Zihan, and took Su Xing away from him, holding her herself.

But Su Xing refused to be held, struggling to break free from her embrace, ”Sister, sister, let me go, I want to go to brother, brother is on uncle!”

An Baobei just found it amusing.

Ning Zihan turned to Su Xing with a stern face, ”Don’t call me uncle, call me brother.”

Maybe it was because she knew she had An Baobei backing her up, but little Su Xing haughtily said, ”No! You are uncle! Xin’er only has one brother, daddy said, Xin’er’s brother is Su Mo!”

The little Su Mo perched on Ning Zihan’s body immediately raised his small hand high, ”I am Su Mo!”

Even An Jing and Ning Wenxian in the distance were amused and laughed.

An Baobei couldn’t help but laugh as Su Xing wriggled free from her arms and climbed back onto Ning Zihan.

Just then, Su Changyi came downstairs, and the two little ones immediately scrambled off Ning Zihan and ran toward Su Changyi on their little legs, happily shouting, ”Daddy, daddy...”

Once Su Changyi reached the bottom of the stairs, he bent down, picked up each little one in one arm, and carried them to the single-seater sofa where he sat down. He no longer held the little ones, but they clung to him, refusing to let go, and Su Changyi allowed them to stay this way.

Seeing Su Changyi seated, Ning Zihan politely greeted, ”Boss Su.”

Having dated An Baobei for a year, although An Baobei regarded this man as her real dad, he just couldn’t bring himself to call him uncle or anything like that.

After all, this man was only two years older than him.

Su Changyi glanced at Ning Zihan coolly without saying a word.

An Baobei, who had been smiling, heard Ning Zihan address her dad as ”Boss Su” again, and her expression darkened slightly.

She actually wanted to marry him, but the problem was, since he still called her dad ”Boss Su” and hadn’t even called her mom anything, she felt uncomfortable about it. So, even though he had proposed many times, she hadn’t agreed.

She also understood his awkwardness.

But no matter what, these two people were her real parents and loved her very much. If her future husband couldn’t even bring himself to follow her in how she addressed them, she’d rather remain unmarried all her life than go through with it.

A month later, Ning Zihan proposed to An Baobei again, and An Baobei still said, ”I don’t want to get married right now.”

Ning Zihan felt helpless and a bit heartbroken, ”Why do I feel like you’re just brushing me off?”

An Baobei immediately laughed, ”Not at all, I really just don’t want to get married yet. You know I’m only twenty-three, and I’ve seen a lot of people who don’t marry until nearly thirty.”

Ning Zihan broke into a sweat, ”You don’t intend to make me wait until you’re thirty, do you?” Then he added, ”It’s not that I can’t wait, it’s mainly that I think we could get married now, no need to wait that long.”
