Chapter 2381: Chapter 2382: He’s Obviously Avoiding Her!

He asked, ”Couldn’t force it in?”

An Baobei was still thinking about why Ning Zihan wanted to keep this matter a secret and didn’t hear what Su Changyi said at all.

Su Haoyu, however, sighed and answered, ”It was put in. We just forgot to take some medicine and went back to get it. We overheard Dr. Qian calling Zihan and learned that Zihan was the one who donated bone marrow to me, so I took the things back intending to give them to him personally.”

”Ning Zihan?!” Su Changyi rarely showed such a shocked and incredulous expression.

Su Haoyu said, ”Yes. Originally, I didn’t believe it either, but Zihan was right. But for some reason, that kid wants to keep this secret. Yi Er, didn’t he save me with bone marrow? Isn’t that a good thing? Why do you think he wants to hide it?”

Su Changyi felt conflicted inside, never expected that it was Ning Zihan who saved his dad, but he still spoke in a flat tone, ”Only he knows that.”

Su Haoyu just sighed again.

The three got into the car, and as Su Changyi drove home, halfway there, An Baobei still couldn’t understand why Ning Zihan wanted to hide this matter. Unable to bear it, she took out her phone and called Ning Zihan, only to find out his phone was off.

This obviously showed he was avoiding her!

Frustrated, she directly asked Su Changyi, ”Dad, do you have Ning Zihan’s work number? His personal number is off!”

Su Changyi handed his phone to An Baobei, ”There’s a work number for him in here, try calling it.”

”Okay.” An Baobei took Su Changyi’s phone, flipped through his contacts to find Ning Zihan’s work number, and called it, still off.

Hearing the service message informing her that the number was off, An Baobei gritted her teeth in anger and said, ”His work number is off too!”

Su Changyi responded calmly, ”He probably knows you know, so he’s avoiding you.”

An Baobei said, ”I think so too.”

Su Haoyu also spoke up, saying, ”I still can’t figure out why Zihan wants to hide it?”

An Baobei: ”I can’t figure it out either, but with his phone off, I guess we better go back and ask Aunt Wen. Maybe she knows.”

”Okay.”

Once back at the Su Family, An Baobei revealed that Ning Zihan was the one who donated bone marrow to Su Haoyu, and they were all very surprised and somewhat disbelieving.

After the initial shock, Ning Wenxian realized, ”No wonder my brother looked pale as a ghost in the hospital that day. I thought he was feeling unwell and even asked him.”

An Baobei said, ”Aunt Wen, I originally thought you knew why your brother wanted to hide this.”

Ning Wenxian said, ”I didn’t know. If you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known it was my brother who donated the bone marrow. My brother is something; how could he hide such a big matter... No way, I need to call him.”

An Baobei said, ”Don’t bother, his phones are off, both personal and work. If you have any other number for him, you might as well try calling to see if it’s off.”

”I only have his personal number, and it’s never off. What’s going on today...” Ning Wenxian was puzzled.

An Baobei said annoyedly, ”He’s avoiding me! He knows I found out, so after hanging up Dr. Qian’s call, his phones were probably off since then.”

Ning Wenxian said, ”Then I’ll call my dad and ask.”

Ning Wenxian asked Ning Wuze, who was also very surprised and didn’t know about this matter either. Even he couldn’t get through to Ning Zihan, so he went directly to find Ning Zihan.
