Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2366: Chapter 2367: Not One Bit!

An Jing smiled and asked back, ”What do you think?”

Ning Wenxian smiled and said, ”Honey, my brother flew over so late to bring you crawfish, aren’t you even a little touched?”

An Baobei snorted, ”What’s the point of being touched, I’m not going to like him again anyway.”

An Jing and Ning Wenxian felt An Baobei was in denial, and exchanged a knowing smile.

Seeing them like this, An Baobei felt even more uncertain, said nothing, and quickly went to the dining room for breakfast.

An Jing and Ning Wenxian just laughed.

After breakfast, fearing An Jing and Ning Wenxian would smile at her like they could see right through her, An Baobei didn’t want to stay in the living room. Once she left the dining room, she quickly walked upstairs.

Seeing her like this, An Jing teased, ”The more you avoid, the easier it is to like him again.”

”Mom!” An Baobei immediately protested loudly to An Jing.

An Jing quickly soothed her, ”Okay, okay, I won’t say anymore. Mom knows you’re afraid of getting hurt by him again, but honey, Mom knows even more that avoiding isn’t the solution.”

”I’m not avoiding, I just don’t like him anymore!”

”Not even a little?” An Jing was skeptical.

An Baobei hesitated for a moment but firmly said, ”Not at all!”

An Jing turned to Ning Wenxian and laughed, ”Looks like your brother still has a chance.”

Ning Wenxian nodded, her face also smiling, ”I think so too.”

Watching her mom and aunt join forces in their teasing, An Baobei really got angry, stomped her foot, and heavily snorted at An Jing and Ning Zihan, then ran upstairs. Once in her room, she threw herself on the bed and buried her face in the pillow.

She’s not a fool; even if she was denying it, she knew she was starting to like Ning Zihan again.

But this liking is far from enough to outweigh the fear in her heart. She was really too scared, scared of being hurt by Ning Zihan again, the kind of pain that made her feel ’never want to see him again this life’, she really didn’t want to experience that again.

Feeling frustrated, An Baobei didn’t want Ning Zihan to feel so easy about it, so she called Ning Zihan. As soon as Ning Zihan answered, she cursed, ”Ning Zihan, you jerk!”

After cursing, she hung up the phone and turned it off.

Leaving Ning Zihan unable to reach her, causing him worry.

On the other side, Ning Zihan, bewildered by An Baobei’s curse, seeing her hang up, called back, only to find An Baobei’s phone turned off, which made him worry about An Baobei, fearing something had happened to her.

So, he didn’t care if he was in a meeting. In front of so many senior executives, he picked up his coat and walked out.

While heading out, he called Ning Wenxian, ”Wenxian, what’s wrong with Baobei?”

Ning Wenxian said, ”Nothing’s wrong, I just saw her earlier, she’s fine. Brother, what do you mean?”

As Ning Zihan entered the dedicated elevator going downstairs, he said lightly, ”She just cursed me and hung up, then turned off her phone.”

”Could it be she’s really angry...” Ning Wenxian muttered uncertainly.

Ning Zihan immediately asked, ”What do you mean by really angry?”

”I just told her that she has a bit of a crush on you, and she stubbornly denied it before going upstairs.”

Ning Zihan understood somewhat and said ’hang up,’ then really hung up on Ning Wenxian.

However, he didn’t think An Baobei was actually angry; he thought it was more likely she was annoyed.
