Chapter 2380: Chapter 2381: Not on Purpose...

Thinking back to the day Su Haoyu underwent the bone marrow transplant, Ning Zihan also appeared at the hospital, looking pale. An Baobei couldn’t control herself anymore and pushed the door open without knocking.

Loudly, she asked Dr. Qian, who was still on the phone with Ning Zihan, ”Dr. Qian, the person who donated bone marrow to my grandfather, it’s Ning Zihan, right?”

Dr. Qian hadn’t expected An Baobei and Su Haoyu to return; he clearly saw them take the elevator out.

He glanced at the questioning An Baobei and then at Su Haoyu standing at the door. It seemed they had both heard.

He had spoken quite softly, but even standing outside the office, it should have been audible. However, Ning Zihan was stubborn and refused any assistance, making Dr. Qian unconsciously raise his voice. Who knew? He absolutely hadn’t anticipated An Baobei and Su Haoyu would come back.

Not knowing what to say, he apologized through the phone, ”Zihan, sorry, I didn’t mean to...”

On the other end, Ning Zihan heard An Baobei’s voice and was momentarily stunned. Immediately followed by Dr. Qian’s apology, he realized that An Baobei had discovered he was the bone marrow donor. Thus, he said nothing and directly hung up the phone.

It’s not that he was impolite, but rather he didn’t know how to face them.

He had never imagined that An Baobei would find out.

An Baobei glanced at Dr. Qian’s phone, noticing the recently disconnected number was indeed Ning Zihan’s private number. Even without Dr. Qian’s answer, she was convinced that Ning Zihan was surely the donor.

Su Haoyu didn’t see this, but he walked in from the door, still somewhat in disbelief, asking, ”Dr. Qian, is it really... Zihan?”

With things at this point, Dr. Qian could only bite the bullet and tell the truth, ”Yes...”

”It’s Zihan, then why didn’t you tell me?” Su Haoyu couldn’t understand.

”He didn’t want to say it himself, I was just helping him out.” Dr. Qian said helplessly.

Su Haoyu still couldn’t understand, ”Why doesn’t he want to say? He saved me, isn’t that a good thing?”

Dr. Qian replied, ”I don’t know. He requested it that way, and I agreed. I asked him, but he wouldn’t say, just asked me to help and that’s it.”

After a pause, Dr. Qian laughed awkwardly, ”You guys didn’t set me up, did you? It was such a coincidence you heard it.”

Su Haoyu pointed to the chair near the office door, laughing, ”We don’t have such schemes. We just forgot to take the medicine and came back for it. Originally, we thought that if you stuffed it to us again, we’d run one more time.”

Dr. Qian realized there was indeed a bag of medicine on the chair he’d overlooked, first cursing himself for being blind. If he’d noticed the medicine, he wouldn’t have rushed to call Ning Zihan and naturally wouldn’t have exposed him.

Then he asked, ”What about these things?”

Su Haoyu looked at the nutritional supplements and card Dr. Qian had set aside, sighed first, then said, ”Since it’s Zihan, I’ll deliver them to him myself.”

To Dr. Qian, these items were troublesome, so when Su Haoyu offered to take them, he gladly agreed.

After thanking Dr. Qian, Su Haoyu and An Baobei took the medicine and nutritional supplements out of his office.

Su Changyi was waiting in the car at the hospital entrance; seeing Su Haoyu and the others carrying items out of the hospital, he immediately got out and took everything from Su Haoyu.
