Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2386: Chapter 2387: You’re Not Casual

”Actually, it’s not really your fault that my mom gave birth early. It was because I insisted on leaving home, which caused all of this. Luckily, my younger siblings are all healthy now.”

As she spoke, An Baobei started to laugh, ”I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Anyway, I just want to tell you that you’ve never intended to hurt me or my family. I know that. I understand now. Really, I do.”

Ning Zihan’s lips trembled slightly, but he still said nothing. Nothing felt better than her understanding him, and at this moment, she did understand him.

Seeing that Ning Zihan was still silent, An Baobei didn’t push him to speak. She just continued, ”Emotions can be born out of being moved. Like at first, you were so good to me, which is why I started to like you. Now you’re still so good, and you’ve actually done so many things for me secretly. I’m really touched by that. Whether you believe it or not, I now like you a bit more than before when I only liked you a little. If you’re still hung up on gratitude, I have nothing to say, because I am indeed quite grateful to you.”

Ning Zihan pressed his lips together, rare for him to look like he didn’t know what to do.

”You actually don’t need to get hung up on this. It’s not like I don’t like you,” An Baobei found it quite funny. ”Besides, I haven’t even agreed to be with you. If you keep getting hung up, aren’t you just creating issues out of nothing?”

Ning Zihan felt enlightened suddenly and quickly asked, ”Then when will you agree?”

An Baobei laughed, ”I quite like you now. If you stop getting hung up, I could actually agree to try being with you right now. Of course, don’t think I’m being casual. I’ve really thought this through. My family said that the way we are now, we seem no different from a couple. Some couples aren’t even as close.”

Ning Zihan wasn’t bothered by the gratitude issue anymore. Since An Baobei liked him, he obviously wanted to take this chance to be with her. Now that she’s agreed, he’s naturally thrilled, downing his glass of wine in one go, unable to suppress the smile on his face.

Seeing him like that, An Baobei felt sweetness in her heart but found it amusing too, so she teased him, ”What’s the meaning of this? Are you still hung up on gratitude and don’t want me to agree to be with you now?”

Ning Zihan immediately shook his head.

An Baobei couldn’t help it and laughed out loud, ”Good thing you’re not getting hung up on it anymore. Otherwise, I would’ve definitely dragged it out before agreeing to you. Who told you not to seize such a golden opportunity and start acting up?”

Finally, Ning Zihan spoke, ”You’re not casual.”

”Hmm?” He suddenly said that, catching An Baobei off guard. Once she processed it, she burst out laughing. ”So dating you isn’t casual, but dating someone else is casual, huh?”

He actually nodded, ”Yes.”

An Baobei laughed even more happily.

Ning Zihan just looked at her intently.

Being stared at like this, An Baobei felt a bit embarrassed. She gave a little cough before saying, ”Let’s go, come with me to S city. If we hadn’t stopped my grandpa, he’d have flown over to thank you in person. You know his health isn’t what it used to be since he got that illness. It’s okay for him to wander around S city, but we don’t dare let him go elsewhere, fearing something might happen.”
