Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2378: Chapter 2379: A Good Idea!

An Baobei immediately said, ”Then I’ll go with you tomorrow.”

Su Haoyu said, ”No need, your dad will accompany me tomorrow.” He sighed again, ”I really want to know who donated the bone marrow to me. I feel bad for not being able to thank that person in person. I think about it every time I go for a check-up.”

An Baobei thought for a while, then suggested, ”Grandpa, how about this? Since Dr. Qian won’t tell us who that person is, we’ll just buy some gifts and have Dr. Qian pass them on to him. This way, you’ll feel better and less guilty.”

Su Haoyu said, ”We’ve tried giving gifts before, but Dr. Qian refused to deliver them.”

An Baobei said, ”This time, we must insist on leaving things with Dr. Qian so she can pass them on. She will have to help us.”

Su Haoyu immediately brightened up, ”Good idea! I’ll also give a card. How much do you think we should put in it?”

Su Chengyu said, ”Dad, just do what you think is right. Both my brother and I have money. We just don’t want you constantly fretting over this and making yourself sick with worry.”

Su Haoyu thought for a moment, ”Let’s put fifty million in it. Only if I manage to give this money away will I feel less guilty. After all, they saved my life.”

Su Chengyu laughed, ”Dad, is your life only worth fifty million?”

Su Haoyu also felt that his life was worth more than fifty million, especially to his rich sons who cherished it, but he didn’t know how much was appropriate, so he said peeved, ”If not fifty million, then how much? You’re always criticizing after the fact. Earlier, when I asked how much, you told me to decide!”

Su Chengyu immediately laughed and conceded, ”Alright, alright, it’s all my fault. Dad, don’t be angry. Fifty million it is. I can’t go with you tomorrow, so I’ll cover the fifty million.”

Su Haoyu beamed with satisfaction and said, ”That’s how a son should act.”

Su Chengyu had expanded his bars to many cities, all doing very well, and he hadn’t asked Su Changyi for money in a while. He even frequently gave money to the family to use.

Now, fifty million was a drop in the bucket for Su Chengyu.

With his younger brother doing well, Su Changyi didn’t compete with Su Chengyu, allowing him to handle the fifty million.

Suddenly, Su Chengyu said, ”Dad, my sister-in-law and Wen Xian have to stay home to take care of the kids, so they can’t go with you. And you know how my brother is, he won’t be able to insist on slipping the gift to Dr. Qian, so we’ll have to rely on you.”

An Baobei quickly said, ”I’d better go too. I have thick skin. After slipping the gift, I’ll grab Grandpa and run. Dr. Qian won’t be able to catch us.”

Su Haoyu thought An Baobei’s idea was excellent, so he laughed and agreed, ”Then, Baobei, accompany me for the check-up tomorrow.”

An Baobei immediately nodded, ”Okay.”

An Jing stood up with a smile and said, ”I’ll go buy some things now. Tomorrow, you can take them to give to Dr. Qian and have her pass them on.”

Su Haoyu urged, ”Go quickly! And get something nice. My life is worth more than just fifty million!”

”Hahaha...” Everyone burst into laughter.

An Jing was also amused. As she walked out with Su Changyi to buy things, she turned back to reassure Su Haoyu, ”Dad, don’t worry, I’ll make sure to pick out some good stuff.”
