Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2376: Chapter 2377: Ning Zihan, Don’t Push Me

Seeing An Baobei serve him some food, for the first time, Ning Zihan’s expression softened instantly.

Seeing Ning Zihan’s face soften, An Baobei curiously asked, ”You, a young master from a wealthy family, how can you cook?”

As far as she knew, Ning Zihan was born into a fairly wealthy family, practically born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Such a young master from a prestigious family, logically, shouldn’t be found in the kitchen cooking.

Ning Zihan replied calmly, ”Sometimes when I don’t like having others around at home, and I don’t want to order takeout, I learned a few dishes to avoid starving when I’m home alone.”

”Sometimes? Does that happen often?” Honestly, sometimes she also wanted to be alone for a few days. But her version of ”sometimes” was occasionally, only having this thought once or twice a year.

”It used to be often, wanting to be alone every day, but now it’s not as often, I want someone else.” At the end, he looked at her with bright eyes.

She instantly blushed, not daring to meet his gaze, quickly lowered her head, and continued eating her meal.

After eating, thinking that the meal was cooked by Ning Zihan, An Baobei insisted on washing the dishes. However, she broke the first dish as she washed it, and Ning Zihan said nothing, just quietly walked over and took over to continue washing.

An Baobei chuckled awkwardly, ”I’m truly just a hindrance in the kitchen.”

While washing the dishes, Ning Zihan said calmly, ”You don’t need to know these things; there are servants at home.”

”Not here.”

”But I’m here.”

Upon hearing that, An Baobei instantly fell silent, said nothing, turned around, left the kitchen, and sat on the living room sofa. She didn’t turn on the TV, just sat there quietly, listening to the sound of Ning Zihan washing dishes in the kitchen.

When Ning Zihan finished washing the dishes and came out, he had a glass of water in his hand. He walked over to An Baobei, placed the water in front of her, clearly indicating that this glass of water was for her.

An Baobei lowered her eyes, looked at the glass on the table in front of her for quite a while, and then softly said, ”Ning Zihan, don’t push me.”

She truly couldn’t make up her mind right now.

Ning Zihan sat on the single sofa next to her and said calmly, ”I’m not pushing you.” After a pause, ”I won’t push you either.”

An Baobei’s heart grew more complicated, staring at the glass of water for a moment before turning her head to look at him, admitting openly, ”I’ve started to like you a bit, and being with you is something I’ll consider, but I need time.”

Ning Zihan said, ”I told you, I’ll wait as long as it takes.”

This time, An Baobei didn’t lash out at him hysterically like she did during the day; she was very calm.

Only a faint smile appeared on her lips, and she nodded very calmly, ”Hmm.”

It was the first time the two of them were so calm with each other. Although neither of them said it, they both knew it was because of the events during the day that they could now be so open and calm.

Get along so effortlessly.

...

An Baobei stayed by the seaside for three days and then returned to the Su Family.

During those three days, Ning Zihan stayed by the seaside with her. With Ning Zihan accompanying her, she didn’t feel lonely at all, just missed her family a bit, so she only stayed for three days before going home.

It was still Ning Zihan who took her home.

Now, her relationship with Ning Zihan is like lovers, yet not quite, more intimate than friends. With Ning Zihan not pushing her, An Baobei was happy to take her time thinking.

An Jing and the others knew Ning Zihan went to the seaside to find An Baobei, so they weren’t surprised at all when Ning Zihan brought her back.
