Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2149: Chapter 2150: Su Changyi Is My Dad (10)

An Jing laughed and said, ”Your father and I also wanted to go back to the room to watch, but weren’t you not back yet.”

An Baobei laughed too, ”You really think I’ve got something wrong with me, as if I don’t even know how to get back to the suite.”

”We know you know how to come back, it’s just that we have something we want to ask you, come, sit.” An Jing pulled An Baobei, who had already walked to the sofa, down to sit.

”What is it?” An Baobei asked curiously.

An Jing smiled and exchanged a glance with Su Changyi before asking, ”It’s actually not a big deal, we just wanted to ask, were you sitting that close with Ning Zihan before?”

”More or less. Anyway, it was like that, not too close. But I could tell that he didn’t dislike me.”

An Jing nodded, ”Your father and I also think he doesn’t dislike you. You must have noticed, right? During dinner, he was so far away from me, and he avoided looking at me if he could, clearly showing he disliked me.”

”Mom, I think it’s not you he dislikes, it’s women he dislikes, and it just so happens you’re a woman.”

An Jing laughed out loud, ”What kind of logic is that, aren’t you a woman too?”

”I am a woman, yeah, and I asked him this question too. Anyway, he just said he dislikes women and told me not to like him. Since he said that, of course, I won’t like him, even if I do like him a little bit now.”

”You’re quite frank.”

”I might lie to anyone else, but not to you and dad!”

An Jing and Su Changyi felt extremely pleased listening to this. All seven sons are not around them now, and to be honest, even if they hadn’t discussed this issue, they would have pampered this daughter even more.

With only her by their side, who else would they pamper if not her?

”He dislikes women so much, there must be a big secret in his heart.” An Jing said.

Su Changyi thought for a while and finally spoke, ”Maybe it’s because of his mom.”

”What do you mean?” An Jing and An Baobei’s eyes lit up, both looking gossipy.

”Although he’s never talked about the reason he dislikes women, his mom’s reputation is very bad. Back then, she not only cheated on his dad but also divorced his dad for that person. Later, she had many boyfriends, and now it seems she’s with a new one who’s more than twenty years younger. There are occasional reports about his mom, so this might really be a factor.” Su Changyi wasn’t too sure, so he said maybe.

”This...” An Jing didn’t know what to say.

An Baobei, however, was very angry, ”Fickle as water! In our place, such a person would be drowned in a pig cage; how could she still live so freely!”

An Jing was amused, ”Baobei, why are you so angry? Didn’t you say you know a lot about this world? Then you should know that here, marriage is autonomous, love is free, and gender equality.”

”I know, I know, but my roots still have Tianyun’s thoughts, and some things I can’t accept.” As she spoke, An Baobei got angry again, ”She even got married, and her husband didn’t do her wrong in any way. Shouldn’t she be loyal? How could she cheat!”

Su Changyi said, ”That’s what some reports say, not necessarily the truth.”

”I hope this anger of mine is in vain.” In other words, An Baobei hopes the affair story about Ning Zihan’s mom is false.

An Jing pondered, ”If all these reports are true, then it really might be the reason Ning Zihan dislikes women so much.”

An Baobei pouted, looking unhappy, ”I really hope he doesn’t dislike women because of this.”
