Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2112: Chapter 2113: Adjusting to Modern Life (8)

”Once the clothes arrive,” Ning Zihan continued, ”I’ll show you how to wear them, so you know what to do. As for the phone, I’ll teach you gradually, so you can get familiar with it.”

”Mm-hmm.” An Baobei was very delighted and had no objections.

...

By the wee hours, with Ning Zihan using the internet on his phone to search for her, An Baobei finally learned how to wear modern clothes, and stopped bothering Ning Zihan, heading back to her room to freshen up.

She didn’t know how to use the hygiene facilities at first, until she asked the housekeeper.

To An Baobei, the bathtub seemed similar to the tubs and pools she used before, it didn’t feel much different. It just had more faucets, and the bathtub had a massage feature.

But as for the shower, An Baobei, who had never experienced it, was very excited, humming tunes happily as she showered.

After bathing, she stood in front of the mirror, using the hairdryer to blow her hair.

The housekeeper had shown her how to use the hairdryer in the bathroom, originally she planned to have Ning Zihan teach her slowly tomorrow, but she needed it tonight, and since Ning Zihan seemed really tired and wanted to sleep, she stopped bothering him once he taught her how to wear modern clothes, and let Ning Zihan sleep.

Luckily, her room was quite soundproof, no matter how much noise she made, it couldn’t be heard outside.

Coming here, she hadn’t suffered at all and even met a kind person who took her in and treated her so well...

Thinking of this, An Baobei’s impression of Ning Zihan improved greatly, completely forgetting that Ning Zihan actually treated her as someone with a mental condition.

Before Ning Zihan returned, An Baobei had already slept, even after drying her hair, she wasn’t sleepy at all, so she grabbed the remote and decided to watch TV.

Not knowing how to change channels, and unaware of the remote’s channel-switching function, An Baobei just relied on her memory of the housekeeper turning on the TV and used the remote to switch it on.

A soap opera was airing on TV, though it was a cliched drama, having never seen one, An Baobei lay on the bed watching it intently.

Only when dawn was breaking did An Baobei start feeling sleepy, turned off the TV, and fell asleep just like that.

...

In the morning, Ning Zihan opened his room door and saw the neighboring room door closed, he didn’t knock or call for An Baobei, but instead, went straight downstairs to the dining room to have breakfast.

In the dining room, the housekeeper had already prepared breakfast, along with black coffee and a newspaper.

Ning Zihan usually eats very little for breakfast, just took a few bites to pad his stomach, then picked up the newspaper, reading while sipping coffee.

The coffee was very bitter, but Ning Zihan was accustomed to drinking a cup every morning, and didn’t feel much bitterness.

Liang Youxu woke earlier than Ning Zihan, already finished breakfast and was waiting aside.

Once the black coffee was finished, Ning Zihan also finished reading the newspaper, then got up and headed out.

Liang Youxu quickly grabbed his briefcase and followed. It was evident the two were headed for work.

The housekeeper hurriedly asked, ”Young master, if you’re leaving, what about Miss An? She’s really having severe mental issues, I’m a bit worried things might happen while you’re away.”

Ning Zihan paused, ”I’ll keep hosting her for now.” He paused briefly, ”Regarding her mental issues, don’t let people talk about it, to avoid provoking her.”

”I know that the mentally ill can’t be provoked; I’ve already ordered the villa staff not to mention it.”

Ning Zihan nodded, finally responding, ”As long as you go along with her, there shouldn’t be any issues.”

”Yes, young master.”
