Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1748: Chapter 1749: What If I Don’t Allow It?

Su Yixing didn’t know what An Jing and Xiao Changyi were thinking inside. He just continued: ”Master also said that he would return to his old home in a few days. Once the date is confirmed, he’ll tell me and I’ll follow him back home then.”

An Jing did not reprimand Su Yixing for so casually accepting a master. Instead, she calmly and kindly said to Su Yixing, ”Star, can’t we stop learning medicine? You can choose to learn other things if you like. Besides, even if you want to learn medicine, you don’t necessarily have to learn from your Uncle Juechen. There are Imperial Physicians in the mansion, you could learn from them too. This way, you won’t have to leave home, isn’t that great?”

Su Yixing replied, ”But the Imperial Physicians aren’t as skilful as Master. I want to study medicine, and I want to learn enough to surpass Master!”

An Jing was quite surprised. When did her second son become so ambitious? Wasn’t her second son’s interest in collecting various treasures? So she asked, ”Why do you suddenly want to learn medicine?”

”Master can earn a lot of Silver with his medical skills. With Silver, I can buy treasures. I want to collect lots of treasures!” Su Yixing said, without feeling anything was wrong.

An Jing: ”...”

”Nonsense!” Finally, Xiao Changyi opened his mouth, his cold eyes had a hint of displeasure. ”You want to collect treasures and so you’re learning medicine from him and leaving home. Do you know, once you go with him, you won’t know when you can come back!”

Su Yixing shrank back a little, but still insisted strongly: ”Father, don’t worry, I’ll write letters back often.”

Xiao Changyi: ”...” Why does it feel like his son doesn’t seem to miss them at all?

It was An Jing who asked, ”Star, don’t you miss your father, mother, your elder brother, and your younger brothers?”

Su Yixing said, ”I do miss them, but there’s no other way. The Grand Tutor said that there’s no feast that doesn’t come to an end. Besides, I’m not not coming back. Once I learn medicine thoroughly, I’ll return.”

An Jing and Xiao Changyi both knew their children couldn’t stay with them forever. But the problem is, their second son isn’t even nine yet and he’s already leaving them without knowing when he’ll return. As parents, they’re really reluctant.

Moreover, Gong Juechen taking their second son as a disciple and bringing him into Slayer Tower—even if their second son won’t stay long in Slayer Tower, it still can’t change the fact that their son is now a part of Slayer Tower.

And they never imagined their second son would be tied to Slayer Tower.

Even though Slayer Tower might not do bad things in the future, their son is destined to be crowned as Prince, and if the Prince of Xiyun is found to be a member of Slayer Tower, it would surely shock the world and cause panic...

So at this moment, both An Jing and Xiao Changyi were feeling quite complex.

Seeing An Jing and Xiao Changyi not speaking, Su Yixing hesitated for a moment and then said, ”Mother, Father, this is the first time I really want to learn something. Won’t you promise me? I assure you that once I’ve mastered medicine, I’ll come back and reunite with you!”

An Jing said, ”Star, do you truly have to study medicine?”

”Yes!” Su Yixing said with extreme determination.

An Jing’s mood grew more complicated.

”What if I don’t allow it?” Xiao Changyi said without any emotion.

Su Yixing replied honestly, ”Then I’ll sneak away!” Anyway, he is going to learn medicine! Always, once he sets his mind to something, he follows through to the end, never changing!
