Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1716: Chapter 1717: In This Way, He Is Like Him

”Where are you planning to go riding?” An Jing asked.

An Yiqing immediately grinned mischievously and said, ”Originally, my brothers and I planned to ride around a bit, but now that Mother, Father, and our godparents are back, of course, we’re not going.”

Seeing her third son’s unchanged personality, An Jing couldn’t help but smile, ”Then let’s head back. I’ve really missed your other three younger brothers.”

While following An Jing towards the Xiyun mansion, Su Yixing said, ”Mother, Qi child, Lin child, and Zhi child can all walk now, and they can say a few words. They’re really good-looking, although they’re as mischievous as third brother. As long as they’re awake, they never sit still.”

An Yiyun added, ”I originally thought they were three little angels, but they’re not well-behaved at all. However, they are truly good-looking, much more so than our little sister Lele.”

Lele is the nickname, her full name is Gong Le, the daughter of Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen, just one year old. Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen wished for their daughter to be happy every day, so they named her Gong Le.

An Jing was a bit surprised that her three beautiful babies were so unruly, but still, she laughed and asked, ”With your three younger brothers being so mischievous, have you all helped take care of them?”

”We have,” Su Yixing replied. ”Whenever we have time, we help out. Even though Qi child, Lin child, and Zhi child aren’t well-behaved, they don’t cry or fuss. Before, when they could crawl, they crawled everywhere. Now that they can walk, they love to be taken around; they don’t like staying indoors at all. They’re full of energy, just like big brother. Big brother is always full of energy too.”

Speaking of Su Yi Jing, he has become increasingly calm and reserved. Unless necessary, he doesn’t say much, much like now, not a word.

An Jing glanced at her eldest son, feeling both gratified and resigned. Her son is becoming more like his father. Even though he has the demeanor of an eldest child, she wishes he could be more lively.

Sometimes, she wonders if he is ever truly happy.

After all, he’s only eight and a half years old.

However, as the children grow, her four sons’ personalities are becoming more distinctive.

The eldest is calm and reserved, not talkative; the second is indifferent to most things except for treasured items; the third is very outgoing, always cheerful and playful; the fourth is gentle and particularly good-natured.

As for what kind of character her other three sons will develop in the future, she looks forward to it with great anticipation.

With this in mind, An Jing asked, ”Where are Qi child, Lin child, and Zhi child now?”

She specifically directed this question to Su Yi Jing, clearly wanting her eldest to speak.

Only then did Su Yi Jing start speaking, ”They couldn’t stay inside, so Aunt Ye and Uncle Gong took them out to the back garden to play.”

When An Jing and Xiao Changyi arrived at the back garden, they saw Gong Juechen lying on the ground with a playful smile, not caring about the dirt, allowing the three little beauties and his daughter, little treasure Gong Le, to crawl and play on him. Ye Zhi stood by, smiling as well.

The back garden was filled with laughter, making one reluctant to disturb it.

An Jing and Xiao Changyi were quite pleased with how Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen treated their three children.

At this moment, they were really grateful to Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen for taking such good care of their seven children.

”Boss, brother-in-law, you’re back?!” Ye Zhi exclaimed with surprise and delight upon catching a glimpse of An Jing and Xiao Changyi standing not far away.
