Chapter 1729: Chapter 1730: Not Easy at All

The three beautiful babies, once held, started calling out the same way as before: ”Brother... Brother...”

”Haha, husband,” An Jing laughed upon hearing this, ”they’re mistaking you for Jing’er again, even though you’re so much older than Jing’er, haha.”

Xiao Changyi could only smile wryly, and helplessly corrected them once more: ”I’ve told you many times, it’s Daddy, not Brother, I’m Daddy, say Daddy.”

”Daddy...” The three beautiful babies then finally called Xiao Changyi Daddy.

After hugging them again, Xiao Changyi said: ”Next time you’re not allowed to call me Brother, you have to always call me Daddy, do you hear?”

The three beautiful babies heard it but didn’t understand. Once they heard Xiao Changyi mention Brother, they happily started shouting again: ”Brother... Brother...”

Xiao Changyi: ”...”

An Jing laughed heartily as she came over, patted Xiao Changyi’s shoulder, and tried to console him through her laughter: ”Haha, husband, take it slow, there’s not much you can do if you feel frustrated. Who told Jing’er to look so much like you? He’s completely your miniature version, so it’s no wonder they always get it wrong.”

Xiao Changyi could only take it slowly. Having taken care of Jing Xingqingyun before, his patience had been honed by the children. Moreover, fortunately, they were his own kids; if it were someone else’s children, he certainly wouldn’t have this much patience.

”Husband, I had someone make old hen soup, it should be ready now, I’ll have someone bring it over and you can have some.” Her husband still ate very little, so she could only have him eat several meals a day and simmer some chicken soup and such to nourish him. Her current goal was to replenish the flesh her husband had lost.

”Mm.” Xiao Changyi knew how particularly concerned An Jing was about his health, so whatever she asked him to eat or drink, he made a great effort to consume.

An Jing first had the maidservant bring the chicken soup and then had the three beautiful babies go inside with her: ”Qi, Lin, Zhi, come, let’s go inside with Daddy and Mommy, Daddy is going to drink chicken soup, and he’ll feed you some too.”

But the three beautiful babies refused to go inside. Once out of Xiao Changyi’s arms, they wobbled around the courtyard, refusing to rest or go indoors.

An Jing was at a loss.

”It’s okay, drinking outside is the same.” Xiao Changyi didn’t mind.

An Jing said: ”It’s too cold out here. If you drink chicken soup outside, it will get cold quickly. Better for you to drink it inside, I’ll watch them in the yard.”

”Mm.” Xiao Changyi didn’t fuss over this small matter. Once inside, he drank a bowl of chicken soup but didn’t want any more, wanting to go outside to be with An Jing and the three beautiful babies. But before he could get up, An Jing had already brought them inside.

”Husband, they finally agreed to come inside, not easy at all.”

”Daddy...” Rarely, the three beautiful babies wobbled toward him and called correctly.

Xiao Changyi’s lips curved slightly in a soft smile.

”Soup... Soup soup...” The moment the three beautiful babies were by Xiao Changyi’s side, they stared at the empty bowl in his hand.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Changyi knew the three beautiful babies wanted chicken soup. So, he ladled another bowl, blew it warm spoon by spoon, and patiently fed the chicken soup to the three beautiful babies.

The three beautiful babies lay on Xiao Changyi’s legs. As they drank the delicious chicken soup, they smacked their little mouths in satisfaction—super cute.

Xiao Changyi’s heart softened further. While caring for the three beautiful babies, he didn’t forget about his wife: ”There’s too much soup, I can’t finish it. You should help me drink some too.”
