Chapter 1747: Chapter 1748: Taking Su Yixing as a Disciple

Su Yixing immediately said, ”Then I’ll go to your hometown to learn!”

Upon hearing this, a thought quickly flashed through Gong Juechen’s mind, and his peach blossom eyes lit up. His smile widened significantly, filled with deep calculation.

Unfortunately, Su Yixing didn’t notice.

”But my medical skills were taught by my master. If you really want to learn from me, you need to formally acknowledge me as your master. Are you willing?”

”It’s just acknowledging a master, right? I’m in!” Su Yixing said straightforwardly. ”Master, please accept my bow!” Saying this, Su Yixing actually knelt down and kowtowed to Gong Juechen.

”Good child, get up,” Gong Juechen said, helping Su Yixing up with a beaming smile. ”Since you’ve acknowledged me as your master, I will naturally teach you medical skills. I’ll let you know once I’ve decided on the date to return to my hometown, and you can come with me.”

Ye Zhi: ”...” Why do I feel like my husband is acting like a sly old fox right now?

Once Su Yixing happily ran into the Xiyun mansion, Ye Zhi and Gong Juechen continued walking towards their home.

Ye Zhi couldn’t resist asking, ”Didn’t you say our ’hometown’ can’t just let anyone in? And yet you’re taking Star?”

Gong Juechen laughed, ”Isn’t Star now my apprentice? He can go in.”

Ye Zhi squinted, ”It’s just that simple?”

Gong Juechen didn’t hide it: ”Of course not just that simple. I’m also planning to hand over my ’hometown’s’ legacy for him to inherit. As for our Lele, he can happily be our treasure carefreely. I can’t bear to let our Lele carry any burden.”

Ye Zhi immediately stopped in her tracks, looking at Gong Juechen with a blank expression, ”Boss and Brother-in-law aren’t fools. If they know Star is going with you to your ’hometown’ to learn medicine, they’ll definitely figure out this part and will certainly stop Star.”

Gong Juechen laughed, ”Don’t underestimate Star. Once he decides to make a fortune with medical skills and gain treasures, he will see it through to the end. Even if Jingjing and Changyi oppose, it won’t make a difference. Besides, being a master means being a father for life; whether I expel Star from the sect or Star betrays the sect, both would sound terrible. Star will certainly come with us to the ’hometown.’”

Ye Zhi paused for a moment before saying, ”What you’re doing is not right.”

Gong Juechen understood the meaning behind Ye Zhi’s words and quickly said, ”Zhizhi, don’t be like this. At most, I’ll ask Star later if he wants to take over. If he doesn’t want to, I won’t force him.”

This finally put Ye Zhi at ease, ”Hmm.” Su Yixing could learn medicine with him, but forcing Su Yixing to become the master of Slayer Tower in the future is something she couldn’t do, nor did she want Gong Juechen to do so.

...

When Su Yixing rushed to the main courtyard, before even entering, he shouted loudly, ”Dad, Mom, I’ve acknowledged a master, and in a few days, I might have to go back to the hometown with him!”

An Jing was puzzled, ”Acknowledged a master? Whom did you acknowledge as your master? Why didn’t you tell me and your father about such a big thing beforehand?”

”It was Uncle Juechen. I just met him at the gate and asked when he would teach me medicine. He said he was going back to his hometown and couldn’t teach me. So, I thought of going back with him to learn, and then he said I could only be taught if I was his apprentice. So, I acknowledged him as my master.”

An Jing and Xiao Changyi were immediately shocked when they heard Su Yixing had acknowledged Gong Juechen as his master. They exchanged a quick glance.

How could the master of Slayer Tower casually accept an apprentice? Now, not only did he accept their second son as a disciple, but he also wanted to take their second son to Slayer Tower. Without thinking, they knew that their second son had fallen into Gong Juechen’s trap.
