The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1495: Chapter 591: No. 90 Shallow Bay Road (Part 2)

Sun Xining marveled as she couldn’t help but feel a sense of urgency.

Aunt Lin seemed to have some insight, and immediately brought Sun Xining through the gate. The property manager, who had been waiting here, warmly exchanged pleasantries with Sun Xining before registering her face and fingerprint.

Once inside the No. 5 villa, Aunt Lin busied herself with helping Sun Xining unpack her luggage, while Sun Xining began her own exploration.

The entire villa had one basement floor, three aboveground floors, plus a rooftop, equipped with a private elevator. Sun Xining couldn’t tell if it was a new house, but all the appliances and furniture were clearly brand new, although she didn’t quite understand those various English brand names.

Yet she did recognize a few.

For instance, on the armchairs in the dining room, she saw the ”Hermès” logo; on the sofa cushions and the scented candles in the bathroom, she found the ”Chanel” logo again...

Sun Xining even compared the logos with those on her handbag, and yup, they were exactly the same.

Never knowing that these luxury brands also made home furnishings, Sun Xining felt her horizons had suddenly broadened.

Snap snap!

Unable to contain her excitement, Sun Xining pulled out her newly replaced phone, almost taking pictures wherever she went. She only paused occasionally, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Was her behavior a bit shameful?

But then she thought, there was no one else in the villa, so why worry?

Going up and down, from the basement to the rooftop, Sun Xining didn’t take the elevator but toured all the places step by step, seeing every corner.

The luxurious interior of the villa was one aspect; what Sun Xining liked most was the nearly 270-degree panoramic sea view.

You could see it from the living room, you could see it from the bathroom, and from the three large bedrooms scattered across three floors, excluding the servant’s room, you could also see it...

Sun Xining imagined herself waking up every morning in Zhou Wang’s arms. The first thing she would do is run barefoot down from the bed, pull open the floor-length curtains, letting the sunlight refracted by the seawater shine brightly upon her...

Oh, with these ocean-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, she wouldn’t have to worry about privacy issues. If Zhou Wang were behind her and she were lying in front of the window, it would... it would presumably be quite a thrilling experience, right?

Just imagining such a scenario, Sun Xining felt her legs were already a bit weak.

Yet Sun Xining quickly sighed, knowing that some fantasies were merely wishful thinking.

For she had no idea how much time Zhou Wang would have in the future to accompany her here.

Of course, Sun Xining wasn’t greedy. Even seeing him once every month or two would be quite nice.

After sitting on the rooftop for a while and taking a few beautiful photos, Sun Xining regretted posting to her social media too early. She should have waited to take these pictures, then picked a batch to share.

Too hasty.

But it didn’t matter; there was plenty of material, and she could just post them gradually over the days ahead.

Stretching lazily, Sun Xining thought Aunt Lin should have almost finished tidying up, so she got up and headed downstairs.

When she reached the first floor, she discovered a slender, shapely figure already sitting on the beige Baxter swivel sofa in the living room.

The chic professional outfit made her look even more noble and coldly elegant, yet upon closer inspection, there was an inexplicable touch of soft charm in the corners of her eyes and brows, slightly undermining her original demeanor.

Actually, Qi Jiayi herself was quite troubled by this. She didn’t expect that after an entire day, there would still be so many traces left on her face and body. She had put on slightly heavier makeup today but still couldn’t fully cover it.

”Lawyer Qi, hello...”

Seeing Qi Jiayi, Sun Xining unusually stammered.

Mainly because Qi Jiayi’s presence was too powerful, utterly overwhelming Sun Xining, whose academic performance was lackluster and social experience relatively thin.

”Your name is a bit of a tongue twister. Can I just call you Ningning?”

Qi Jiayi thought about yesterday’s events but maintained her usual calmness and cold-shouldered demeanor.

”Of course, that’s what everyone around me calls me.”

”Please sit.”

Qi Jiayi noticed Sun Xining’s tension, so she softened her tone, ”You don’t need to be nervous. I’m here today not for business, purely wanting to get acquainted in a personal capacity.”

”Huh?”

Sun Xining was clearly a bit stunned; what did personal capacity mean?

Seeing Sun Xining still confused, Qi Jiayi said, ”I think for the foreseeable future, we’ll be roommates living under the same roof, so... I believe understanding each other is quite important.”

”Roommates?”

Sun Xining gaped, taken aback, ”Lawyer Qi, do you mean you’re also going to live here?”

”What’s wrong, not welcome?”

Qi Jiayi smiled slightly.

”No, no, I... I was just so surprised...”

Sun Xining hurriedly waved her hand.

Qi Jiayi didn’t further explain, just stated with a complex expression:

”Just consider this place as company-assigned welfare housing, though normally, one wouldn’t be able to live here. In the future, except for Mr. Zhou, likely no one else will reside here...”

When Qi Jiayi said these words, she unconsciously tightened her grip on the Hermes briefcase beside her. Inside that bag lay a thin sheet of paper.

This was a copy from the Hong Kong Island Land Registry.

Unlike the mainland, Hong Kong Island doesn’t issue any ”red books” or ”green books”; property ownership is proven by such a copy sheet.

Possessing this sheet signifies that Qi Jiayi’s name is already on the Hong Kong Island Land Registry.

She was now the owner of the No. 5 villa on Shallow Bay Road.

Yes, even Qi Jiayi herself didn’t expect Zhou Wang to directly gift her this property acquired from the Huo Family.

Does Qi Jiayi earn a high income?

Always high.

So her vision is completely different from that of ordinary girls.

If it were just ordinary luxury homes or cars, Qi Jiayi would likely scoff, but this... but this is a house on No. 90 Shallow Bay Road!

When Qi Jiayi returned from studying abroad, she spent some time on Hong Kong Island, becoming quite familiar with the local ecosystem.

Hong Kong Island’s land is famously expensive, and in such a densely populated area, there are astonishingly extravagant top-tier villas above the already costly land prices.

Such as this over five-thousand-square-foot villa on Shallow Bay Road.

Given its size, if it were in ordinary areas like Sai Kung or Yuanlang, it might set you back a billion or two.

Yet the Mountain Peak and Shallow Bay are part of Hong Kong Island’s core luxury housing regions, where the unit price of ordinary residences is as high as five to six thousand Hong Kong Dollars per foot, which means six to seven hundred thousand per square meter, let alone a villa like this one.

This No. 5 villa covers a total of 5852 feet, priced at 440 million Hong Kong Dollars.

Yes, four little targets...

With Qi Jiayi’s annual income of six hundred thousand, it would take eighty years of not eating or drinking to save enough for the full payment.

Qi Jiayi couldn’t imagine Zhou Wang using such a gift to placate her.

Even knowing it was Zhou Wang’s ”strategy,” it... really made one’s heart a mess!

Simultaneously, there was her new appointment letter.

She was now not only the head of the legal department at Wangzhou Group but also the general manager of the Hong Kong Island branch.

Although this appointment was transitional in Zhou Wang’s words, Qi Jiayi had a feeling she might be staying here a long time.

Thus, this residence was hard to refuse... Besides, she really liked this kind of surrounding coastal view; who wouldn’t like it?

Of course, Qi Jiayi didn’t need to disclose such things to Sun Xining.

Seeing Sun Xining still processing her words, Qi Jiayi suddenly had a thought and came up with another idea.
