The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1479: Chapter 584: ”The Cold Case

”Damn it, damn it... I want to kill that pompous man, how dare he humiliate me like this!”

In the back alley of the Four Seasons Hotel, Song Zhesuo and Li Lina, who were practically thrown out, got up from the ground in a disheveled state.

Even though it was not a main street, given the dense population of Hong Kong Island, passersby would occasionally walk by. Feeling the puzzling glances from them, Li Lina was almost on the verge of losing her mind.

She had always lived a life above others, when had she ever suffered such humiliation?

”Yes, Lina, these people went too far!”

Next to her, Song Zhesuo also agreed indignantly, ”We must get revenge, let them know the cost of offending you...”

Actually, Song Zhesuo was fine. Although he was childhood friends with Li Lina, his family background was quite ordinary, probably even poorer than Cui Min’er’s.

It was purely because he was handsome that Li Lina took a liking to him. Sometimes, Song Zhesuo felt like he was just a human toy, but it didn’t matter. After all, the post-surgery Li Lina wasn’t bad looking, and she gave him plenty of pocket money every month, so he wasn’t at a loss.

At this moment, Song Zhesuo appeared very angry, but it was more out of a habitual tendency to agree. He just wanted to hurry back to the hotel for a hot bath. If Li Lina didn’t demand anything from him today, he planned to stay in bed and finish the latest issue of ”Beautiful New World...”

As for revenge?

Stop kidding.

Li Lina had been condescending since childhood. Except for the financial tycoon kids in Korea with better family backgrounds, she looked down on everyone else. But Song Zhesuo, born from the lower class, had a clear head.

The Caprice Restaurant they went to was already a famous star-rated restaurant on Hong Kong Island. The operator behind it was probably a powerful local boss, but that Huaxia youth surnamed Zhou was treated so kindly...

Not to mention, those girls around Zhou didn’t seem inferior to Cui Min’er in Song Zhesuo’s eyes, yet they were all intimately close to him.

Plus those fierce-looking and burly bodyguards, if this were in Korea, matching such treatment would undoubtedly mean a financial tycoon.

Therefore, Song Zhesuo instinctively felt Zhou Wang’s identity was not simple. Moreover, this was not Korea; it was the land of Huaxia, so Song Zhesuo naturally didn’t want to cause more trouble.

But with a casual remark, Li Lina clearly took it seriously.

”Zhesuo, you’re right, we can’t just let this go!”

Li Lina said through gritted teeth, ”We must get revenge, I want to see that man regretfully in tears, kneeling in front of me begging for forgiveness!”

Song Zhesuo realized that Li Lina took it seriously and quickly persuaded, ”Uh... Lina, we shouldn’t rush this. Why don’t we return to our country first...”

”What are you talking about?”

Li Lina frowned and looked at Song Zhesuo with a strange expression, ”Weren’t you the one who suggested we should get revenge? What are you hesitating about?”

”Of course we need revenge, how can we let you suffer such grievances, Lina... But I mean, since this isn’t Korea, shouldn’t we be a bit cautious, as it’s not that convenient to do anything...”

Song Zhesuo said with a compensatory smile, ”Besides, that young man surnamed Zhou doesn’t seem ordinary. If we anger him, and in his impulsiveness, he does something reckless... I worry we could suffer.”

”What are you afraid of?”

Li Lina immediately said discontentedly, ”So what if this is Huaxia? Do you think they dare do anything to me, my father won’t let them off easily. My surname is my greatest confidence!”

Li Lina first said this proudly, then another look of pride appeared on her face.

”As for the means of revenge... I’ve already thought of one.”

”Ah, Lina, you’ve already thought of one?”

Song Zhesuo asked in surprise.

”Of course, don’t you know what kind of woman I, Li Lina, am?”

Li Lina let out a cold laugh, then took out her phone, ”Huaxia, like our Korea, is a society ruled by public opinion. I’ve recorded the whole process just now on my phone. Once I return to the hotel, I will post on Korea’s largest social media, exposing their ugly faces...”

”You recorded it?”

Song Zhesuo instinctively felt something was wrong, but it seemed that what Li Lina said also made sense.

In Korea, public opinion is arguably one of the most influential forces in their society. The life and death of many political figures are controlled by it, and for ordinary people, it’s also the most powerful means to fight against financial tycoons.

Even though it’s only verbal resistance, the resultant issues like evaporated market value and unsold products are still very serious for financial tycoons.

Though Huaxia’s ecology has many differences from Korea, in today’s highly developed mobile internet era, the power of public opinion is similarly strong.

So Li Lina already had a comprehensive plan in mind, and by using her family’s influence to exert some pressure, she was sure the whole thing could quickly escalate. She wanted the people of Korea to join her in speaking out, exerting the maximum pressure on Huaxia.

She even had the headline ready—

”How Ill-mannered Huaxia People Bully Ordinary Korean Tourists on Their Own Turf”

Uh... it doesn’t seem concise, and the literary flair isn’t great, but Li Lina couldn’t think of anything better for the moment. She planned to let Song Zhesuo come up with the headline later.

Actually, it didn’t matter, because Li Lina knew as long as Korean netizens clicked on the video, they would immediately be as furious as she was.
