The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1451: Chapter 570: ”Kiss Me

Qu Peining shook her head blankly.

Of course she didn’t.

Not only did she not know the game ”Liar’s Dice,” she also wasn’t good at the traditional kind of ”shooting the bull.”

”The rules are roughly like this: everyone has five dice. With the three of us playing, that’s a total of fifteen dice. Among them, 1 can count as any number. If all five dice show the same number, that’s called a ’leopard’...”

As a classic drinking game that’s spread far and wide, the rules of ”Liar King” are naturally very easy to understand, and Qu Peining’s comprehension wasn’t bad either—just listening once was enough for her to grasp the gist.

This was a bluffing game that mixed in some deduction and psychological warfare; the difficulty shouldn’t be high for her.

”Okay, we can start now.”

After trying it once, Qu Peining gave Zhou Wang a little nod, indicating that she was ready.

However, at this moment, Jiang Mubai suddenly cut in, ”Wait a second, Mr. Zhou, you still haven’t told this sister about the hidden rules!”

”Hidden... rules?”

Qu Peining’s attractive brows furrowed slightly, a bit confused.

”Yeah, since we’re playing this in a nightclub, of course there are hidden rules!”

Jiang Mubai said as if it were only natural, then started to explain, ”Didn’t Mr. Zhou already tell you just now? There are two special situations in Liar Dice. One is called ’single dice,’ meaning all the numbers are different. The other is called a ’leopard,’ meaning all the numbers are the same.”

Qu Peining nodded to show she understood.

At this moment, Jiang Mubai gave a meaningful little smile. ”The hidden rule is... when someone rolls a single dice, they get to ask one Truth. And when someone rolls a leopard, besides winning the whole round, they also get to act as the King and assign any person they want to complete a punishment game.”

”What do ’Truth’ and ’King game’ mean?”

While Jiang Mubai patiently explained things to Qu Peining, watching her dazed look, Zhou Wang couldn’t help feeling a bit amused.

Jiang Mubai, you little rascal, you’re totally bullying a girl who’s come to a bar for the first time!

Since when have I ever heard of any place where ’Liar King’ has to be played mixed together with ’Truth or Dare’...

But since he had already agreed to let Jiang Mubai take the lead, Zhou Wang naturally wouldn’t expose her. Anyway, Qu Peining didn’t know any of this. After roughly understanding what Jiang Mubai meant, she just nodded.

Obviously, at this point Qu Peining still hadn’t realized this was just another trap set by Jiang Mubai.

...After all, she had absolutely no concept of what so-called ”punishment games” could entail.

”Then let’s start~”

After saying that, Jiang Mubai took the lead by picking up the dice cup and shaking it, then blinked at Zhou Wang.

At first Zhou Wang didn’t understand why she was winking at him, until he saw that when Jiang Mubai set the dice cup down, her little thumb started fiddling around inside...

The corner of Zhou Wang’s mouth twitched.

So you’re cheating already at the very start, huh?

There was no way Qu Peining knew any of these tricks. Jiang Mubai’s cheating method was actually pretty clumsy, but because Qu Peining had zero vigilance on this front, and the club lighting was dim, she didn’t see Jiang Mubai’s little move at all.

Zhou Wang also picked his up and shook it casually, then slammed it down over his dice. Qu Peining followed their example and placed her dice cup upside down on the table as well, then lifted her head.

Although Qu Peining didn’t show anything obvious, Zhou Wang could still tell that she was actually in a relatively tense state. The way her lips were pressed together for no reason looked kind of cute.

At the same time, something different flickered in Qu Peining’s eyes. After all, this was her first time in life playing a game like this, so of course her mood was a bit stirred up.

”Then Sister Peining, you go first.”

”Me?”

Qu Peining originally wanted to decline, but she didn’t want to seem weak. So after hesitating for a moment, she still spoke up, ”Alright then... three sixes.”

You had to admit, Qu Peining really was a bit smart. Even though it was her first time playing, she’d already picked up a few of the tricks.

With three people playing Liar Dice, the safest opening is to start from three, and using ”six” as the base can also invisibly raise the difficulty for everyone else when they call.

Sitting in the middle, Zhou Wang casually said, ”Add one, four sixes.”

Jiang Mubai followed up without even thinking, ”Five sixes!”

It came back to Qu Peining again. She thought for a bit: she already had three sixes herself, Zhou Wang and Jiang Mubai had ten dice between them, so it shouldn’t be hard to put together another two or three. So she called:

”Six sixes.”

Who knew, as soon as the words left Qu Peining’s mouth, Jiang Mubai immediately said, ”Open!”

”Huh?”

Qu Peining still hadn’t reacted.

”I mean I’m calling it, Sister Peining. How many sixes do you have?”

”I have three.”

Only now did Qu Peining realize that Jiang Mubai was calling her bluff. She hurriedly lifted her cup, and Zhou Wang followed suit. Qu Peining saw that he had two sixes.

At this point, Qu Peining already thought she had it in the bag, because there was no way Jiang Mubai would have none at all.

However, Jiang Mubai opened her dice cup with a bright smile. ”Sister Peining, you lost~”

”How is that—”

Qu Peining’s voice of protest cut off abruptly, because she’d already seen Jiang Mubai’s five dice.

”One, two, three, four, six.”

According to the rules Zhou Wang had explained earlier, this was called a ”single dice,” which meant she was worth 0, and none of her dice counted.

It seemed like she really had lost.

Qu Peining pressed her lips together, but didn’t say anything. She picked up the glass in front of her and drained it in one go.

After she finished drinking, Jiang Mubai smiled and said, ”Sister Peining, you still remember the hidden rules I mentioned just now, right?”
