The Wealthy Tycoon's Game of Life

Chapter 1460: Chapter 574: Roadblock (2)

Zhou Wang had already put on his coat and gave a final reminder. Just before leaving, Zhou Wang remembered something and leaned in to whisper to Jiang Mubai.

”Got it, I’ll figure out how to prepare it for her.”

Jiang Mubai chuckled quietly.

It turned out that during the kiss earlier, Zhou Wang was too forceful and tore Qu Peining’s inner garment. Remembering this detail, Zhou Wang asked Jiang Mubai to prepare some clothes for Qu Peining.

...

When Zhou Wang left BSK and returned to Pengrui Raffles Hotel, it was already dawn, almost five in the morning.

The suite was quiet; clearly, the four girls had long been asleep. Zhou Wang first went to the public bathroom to freshen up, making sure there was no scent lingering on him before returning to the master bedroom. He gently climbed into bed, embracing the side-sleeping Su Yajing from behind.

Just as Zhou Wang’s arm slipped through, Su Yajing suddenly turned over, snuggling entirely into Zhou Wang’s arms, wrapping around him like an octopus.

Immediately after, Zhou Wang felt a pain in his chest. He looked down to hear Su Yajing, still with her eyes closed, mumbling:

”Out messing around again... I’ll bite you, you big bad guy!”

Zhou Wang didn’t have the chance to say anything before Su Yajing buried her head in his chest, soon followed by soft snores.

For a moment, Zhou Wang wasn’t sure if Su Yajing was awake or dreaming. After a slight pause, he hugged Su Yajing tightly, feeling a flicker of sentiment.

If he were just an ordinary person, Su Yajing would be the perfect girlfriend...

Unfortunately, if he were an ordinary person, it might have been impossible for him to have a story with a girl like Su Yajing.

So, it’s just a paradox.

...

A wordless night passed. Near noon the next day, when Zhou Wang opened his eyes, the four girls had already dressed and put on full makeup, chattering in the living room.

Excitement could hardly be concealed on their faces, primarily because the next destination holds a natural charm for most girls.

Hong Kong Island.

Even for Cui Min’er from Korea, it was a city she longed to visit.

In the ’80s and ’90s, Hong Kong Island films practically dominated Korea’s cultural scene. The stars like Jackie Chan and Lin Qingxia left a significant impact there.

With a glance, Zhou Wang found it quite pleasing to the eye. After all, the four girls were already beautiful, and after careful dressing, standing together, they formed a stunning scene.

It’s a pity Zhou Wang didn’t like shopping; otherwise, going out with them every day would surely provide a high sense of achievement in showing off.

Besides the suite’s butler Charles, there was also a robust man in a suit in the living room, Lai Yuanbao, sent by Mu Li this time as a guide to Hong Kong Island, a capable assistant Zhou Wang had met several times.

Of course, this man with a fierce look was still cute in front of Zhou Wang, always calling himself ”Xiao Lai.”

”Mr. Zhou, everything is arranged, the car is downstairs, shall we...”

Seeing Zhou Wang appearing, Lai Yuanbao quickly approached to report.

His demeanor was even more respectful than before.

This is because Zhou Wang, originally just a guest of Mu Li, had now become a major shareholder of the group, even standing above Mu Li in status. Lai Yuanbao naturally had to recognize his position.

”Alright, let’s go.”

Zhou Wang didn’t have much to pack. He put on his sunglasses and called everyone to depart.

At this moment, butler Charles brought the bill for Zhou Wang to sign. The girls curiously leaned over for a peek, knowing the room was expensive. Naturally, they were curious about how much it cost for five people to stay nearly a week.

Upon seeing the total at the bottom of the long bill, even Su Yajing couldn’t help but click her tongue, let alone the other three.

Especially Cui Min’er, who felt an urge to take a photo for memory, but was a bit shy since so many people were present...

1.72 million!

Yes, that was the total after staying for six days.

Just the room alone cost 180,000 per day, not to mention a 300,000 seafood meal, plus all the drinks, spa services, and more in between...

So, spending over 1.7 million was entirely understandable, but seeing the number in print exuded a sense of extravagance.

Zhou Wang glanced over it casually, confirmed there was nothing amiss, and gestured to proceed with the card payment.

But at that moment, Lai Yuanbao spoke up, smiling: ”Mr. Zhou, the bill is just for your approval. I’ve already taken care of it.”

Zhou Wang raised an eyebrow, ”President Mu is quite extravagant, isn’t he?”

”Mr. Zhou, it’s under the group’s account. Since you’re now a shareholder, it’s considered part of the regular hospitality expenses.”

Lai Yuanbao explained tactfully.

Zhou Wang instantly understood and couldn’t help but smile, so it wasn’t just Mu Li treating him but a collective gesture from several shareholders?

Under such terms, Zhou Wang couldn’t refuse. He promptly patted Lai Yuanbao on the shoulder, indicating it was time to go.

Cui Min’er next to them was indescribably envious. Oh my, nearly two million, which is several billion Korean Won, just covered by someone. Was this Zhou Wang’s real status?

Her breath quickened, and she quickly turned her head away, feeling slightly weak-kneed for some reason...

This had been happening frequently, causing her much distress.

But it was convenient for her being at the end, as she could secretly take a photo.

...

Upon reaching downstairs, Zhou Wang noticed Xiao Lai had prepared four cars.

Leading was a black Bentley Mulsanne, a 2020 model. Its multimillion price wasn’t the main attraction, but the ”three license plates” it carried caught Zhou Wang’s attention.

Yes, a total of three license plates.

Typically, vehicles with dual plates are the most common for two-region travel. While applying for such plates is hard for regular folks, it’s manageable for those with some social leverage.

However, a ”three license plate” setup was extremely rare.

The yellow plate was for Hong Kong Island, the black three-segment for Ao Island, and the black-on-white for the local area.

When combined, it signified unrestricted travel between Guang, Hong, and Ao.

Especially the ”FU” started yellow plate, which, if Zhou Wang recalled correctly, suggested ”priority passage.”

Securing these three license types required strict criteria regarding taxes, qualifications, investment amounts, etc., leading to a saying online... ”Three plate” car owners are always big shots.

The value of these three plates eclipsed owning a Rolls-Royce.

Besides the leading Bentley, the other three included a Benz sedan and two business vehicles.

The Bentley was for Zhou Wang, the Benz for the four girls, and the business vehicles were for Xiao Lai’s accompanying people and Zhou Wang’s bodyguards, reasonably distributed.

After bidding farewell to the hotel manager and others, Zhou Wang sat in the Bentley’s back seat, with Gao Xing unobtrusively moving to the passenger seat while Xiao Lai, the guide, also joined Zhou Wang in the back.

”Mr. Zhou, the accommodations on Hong Kong Island are ready. Additionally, President Mu asked me to inform you that the property on Shallow Bay Road, offered by the Huo Family, is also prepared. If you wish, you can stay there...”

As the vehicle leisurely started, Xiao Lai began to report.

Zhou Wang listened absentmindedly, admiring the street view outside when suddenly, with a sharp brake, the accelerating Bentley abruptly stopped.

”What the hell, where’d this lunatic come from!”

The driver couldn’t help cursing, quickly turning to apologize: ”Sorry, Mr. Zhou, she suddenly dashed into the road...”

With a slight jolt, Zhou Wang raised his head. His frowning expression froze instantly.

Standing in the middle of the road ahead was a tall girl with a strikingly beautiful, expressionless face, staring directly at the Bentley she had stopped.

Damn...

Seeing who it was, Zhou Wang felt a chill down his spine.

He had considered that Qu Peining might not act as if nothing had happened, but it barely took any time for her to show up at the doorstep unannounced.

This was entirely unforeseen in Zhou Wang’s plan.

Seriously, sis, you’re too hasty. At least allow some breathing room for peace!

Nevertheless, Zhou Wang couldn’t be a coward now. He signaled the driver to pull over and, with a steely resolve, opened the door and got out.
