Pillar of Yita

After the young girl left, the dungeon returned to silence. In the quiet darkness, it seemed that only the deep, rhythmic sound of the wind remained, as if a succubus were swirling and howling outside the walls, going round and round.

At this moment, a light formed in the darkness, landing in front of Fang Hong, finally transforming into the shape of Miss Fairy. Tata placed her hands on her knees, kneeling on the straw before him, her head tilted up. Her emerald eyes, like a dream, quietly watched him, blinking gently. Fang Hong smiled bitterly, scratching his head: ”I’ve dragged you to suffer with me once again, Miss Tata. I thought I had matured a bit, but it turns out I’m still reckless in handling things. What Miss Sicape said is absolutely right.”

In the darkness, the clanking of the swinging shackles was heard.

Tata didn’t speak, only looked at him and gently shook her head, indicating her disagreement with this statement.

”Do you have any ideas, Miss Tata?” Fang Hong asked, ”These shackles are probably made of Eternal Stone. This place is either the territory of the Guardian of Law Terra Wotu or the Shelter of Lady of Catastrophe Moyadimas, so revival is likely useless here.”

Besides, his Starlight was nearly exhausted, so he preferred not to waste it in this place.

Tata lowered her eyelids, her long and thick eyelashes trembling slightly, as if in thought. She spoke softly, ”Material always belongs to the material. Without its carrier and the crystal, artificial dragon souls interact very little with this world. But nature dragon souls are different. They are inherently part of this world. Nini might be able to help you, Mr. Knight.”

”But Nini’s exclusive construct was also taken away along with the Information Crystal by those people.”

Tata didn’t reply, just quietly looked at him. Her bright emerald eyes expressed her belief that her knight could figure out a way.

Fang Hong was startled, suddenly realizing something: ”Miss Tata, are you suggesting...?”

To have Nini ’steal’ back her equipment.

In fact, he didn’t need much, just a pair of control gloves, his Magic Guided Reactor, and the Information Crystal would suffice.

But Miss Tata was like a scholar, frail and weak. It wasn’t realistic to have her bring these things back. Nini, however, was different. This little girl had inherited some traits of the dark giant dragon since childhood. She couldn’t cast spells but had immense strength—of course, relative to her size.

Having her move a construct wouldn’t suffice, but bringing back the Magic Guided Reactor should be barely possible.

However, he was somewhat worried.

In his mind, Nini was like a daughter he had nurtured since birth. She was still so tiny, pure, and innocent, lacking the ability to protect herself. Sending the little girl into such a dangerous environment to steal something always felt beyond her capabilities and fraught with risks.

Tata gently nodded.

”Nini will be fine, and as a newly-born dragon soul, she will one day become your helper, Mr. Knight. You should view her equally, just as you view me,” she answered softly. Her calm voice seemed to resonate in the darkness, but only the two of them could hear it. If someone else entered this dark dungeon, they would only hear Fang Hong talking to himself.

”In fact, as a nature dragon soul, Nini will only be more impressive than me. The strength of the dragon soul is something Mr. Knight has barely tapped into.”

Tata’s words made Fang Hong feel a bit embarrassed: ”Sorry.”

”No need to apologize,” Tata rationally analyzed: ”The world of the Dragon Knights is still too far away from Mr. Knight. It’s inevitable, but as Mr. Knight grows, everything will proceed step by step. Hastiness is inadvisable.”

”Alright,” Fang Hong nodded.

Perhaps she heard someone talking about her.

A flash of light appeared, and Nini showed up beside her sister. She hid behind Tata’s delicate shoulder, her tail curled up. Sleepily, she curiously observed the place.

She seemed to naturally like dark environments. The dark and dry dungeon didn’t unsettle her, and instead made her a little happy.

Then she came to Fang Hong’s side, climbed onto his knee, and adorably whined at him, ”Papa—” She was a bit proud, swaying and showing off the new ability she learned. She opened her mouth wide and breathed out a flame—it was truly a flame, even weaker than the light of a match, flickering and disappearing in the darkness.

But Nini didn’t see it that way, naively saying, ”Papa, Nini, strong.”

Even in a predicament, Fang Hong couldn’t help but be amused.

”Yes, Nini, very strong.”

Our Miss Fang Nini was thrilled.

Fang Hong glanced at the quiet Tata beside him. Miss Fairy simply nodded at him.

He then turned back to Nini and said, ”Nini.”

The little girl looked up, her bright golden eyes curiously staring at him.

”Now I need you to help with something. Can Nini do it?”

Nini’s eyes lit up.

She looked like a girl who just received candy, her face excited, vigorously nodding.

”Nini can help Papa.”

This was the second time Fang Hong heard Miss Fang Nini say a complete sentence. The last time was also related to him, back in the Spider Forest, which deeply moved him. In his heart, he adored and cherished his family’s little princess. Honestly, if not for the current situation, he really hoped this little girl wouldn’t have to go on an adventure.
