Pillar of Yita

This is extremely similar to the abilities players acquire through synchronization with Stargates or Glow Objects, yet it differs in essence.

Moreover, he had never heard of anyone possessing such abilities naturally.

Unless—

This girl might have unknowingly come into contact with a Nature Dragon Soul.

Thus, her situation may be somewhat similar to his own; he had prematurely acquired the power of an Artificial Dragon Soul, yet to venture into the Second World, but already possessing the Dragon Knight System and some traits of a Dragon Knight.

And this girl goes a step further, a natural possessor of the Nature Dragon Soul.

Why a Nature Dragon Soul? Because Artificial Dragon Souls require a carrier, and the carrier crystal possesses elemental attributes. Below a certain level, humans cannot bear the powerful Elemental Magic Power contained in the crystal. In layman’s terms, they would instantly die from bearing a force beyond human limits.

He’s an exception because the carrier of his Artificial Dragon Soul comes from a Non-Attribute Zero-Type Crystal, which has nothing to do with human Elemental Affinity. Regardless of how much Ether Power it bears, it won’t cause him to perish from elemental erosion.

The only remaining possibility is the Nature Dragon Soul.

The carrier crystal of a Nature Dragon Soul is the most special material in nature. Whether it chooses a master does not usually depend on the strength of the host but comes from a mysterious, unexplained—by scholars and Alchemists—’compatibility.’

As long as the ’compatibility’ aligns, even an infant can gain the Nature Dragon Soul’s recognition.

However, the power of a Nature Dragon Soul does not immediately manifest, nor does it suddenly turn someone into a Sky Knight. It becomes a latent power, dwelling in one’s body, growing with its ’master’ until the latter becomes its true overlord.

Of course, natural Dragon Souls are so rare in the First World that Fang Hong has hardly heard of them, and even in the Second World, they are often only possessed by major powers, so it’s unlikely to use precious natural Dragon Souls on ’infants.’

After all, only the strong can truly unleash the power of a Sky Knight, not investing in someone who might take decades to mature and still might not succeed.

Not even the Osh Empire is extravagant to that extent.

Fang Hong looked at the girl before him with some surprise, wondering what kind of serendipity and coincidence could grant such luck. Of course, it might not merely be luck. He suddenly understood why the Arcanists had placed so much importance on this girl that day, and couldn’t help but silently mourn for Parker for a few seconds.

Not to mention her identity as a native, even this layer of connection makes further contact seem like a fantasy.

Yet the Arcanists let her come to this place?

Fang Hong looked at the shackles on his hands and feet, wondering if that Lord Ebene simply despised him, thinking he posed no threat in this state? At the thought of being underestimated, Fang Hong couldn’t help but feel a bit upset, but upset as he was, he maintained a minimum of calm.

This calm made him consider another possibility.

”Right,” Fang Hong asked casually, ”I still haven’t asked your name.”

”I, I am Affia,” the girl replied timidly, ”Mr. Ade.”

”Affia?” Fang Hong was slightly startled, wondering if this was a common name in Istania, and why it was the same as Princess Rupert’s sister.

He glanced at her and asked, ”Miss Affia, are you here specifically to bring me food?”

The girl named Affia was startled, not expecting to be seen through and shifted her gaze anxiously, nodding.

”Why?”

”I, I saw Mr. Ade’s combat on the community...” the girl answered, blushing.

Fang Hong looked at her intently, initially not reacting, but he eventually understood that expression—a complex feeling momentarily washed over him—he had a fan, and a native one at that. Yet, considering her identity, this seemed too coincidental.

He paused, then asked, ”Miss Affia, may I ask you for a favor?”

Affia appeared a bit flustered, ”I’m sorry, Mr. Ade, Lord Ebene said, I can’t let you out.”

Her tone was one of great difficulty.

But Fang Hong shook his head, not expecting to walk out as is. Even if Affia genuinely wished to help, could those Arcanists outside take orders from a little girl? This world wasn’t that fantastical.

”It’s not that,” he replied, ”may I ask, what happened at the smuggler’s port since then, am I the only one detained here, or are there others? Are my companions here too?”

Hearing this, Affia finally relaxed a bit and replied somewhat embarrassedly, ”I’m sorry, Mr. Ade, it’s not just you, your companions are also detained here.”

Fang Hong felt a weight in his heart at this answer, though he half-anticipated it, he instinctively asked, ”Were all of them captured?”

Affia shook her head, ”I don’t know exactly how many companions Mr. Ade has.”
