Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: Monster, Identity Exposed

Nightfall.

After finishing his daily Cultivation, Roy quietly left Ice Wolf Castle and headed for Redwood City at an unhurried pace.

After losing to him in front of everyone, Tony had been down for less than half an hour before making a full recovery.

Not only that, but after dinner, Tony had called him into the study and earnestly warned him to be careful on his journey to the Royal Capital and in the upcoming war.

Tony had a lot to say.

But it all boiled down to one thing.

To hell with honor and military merits!

Compared to Life, that stuff wasn’t worth a damn!

Although Tony was nagging like a mother hen, Roy patiently listened to all of his warnings.

Tony wasn’t a noble without a sense of honor, but when it came to his younger brother’s safety versus the family’s honor, he chose the former without hesitation.

After he finished admonishing Roy, Tony began instructing Aili and the others to prepare his luggage for the trip to the Royal Capital.

The journey from Ice Wolf Domain to the Royal Capital would take over half a month on horseback, assuming favorable conditions.

In other words, he would inevitably have to rough it on the way to the Royal Capital.

Although Roy had already prepared the necessary supplies in Chaos Square long ago, he didn’t stop Tony from telling Aili and the others to pack his luggage.

「An hour later.」

Redwood City.

Sandru’s office in the Red Salmon and Cherry Pie tavern.

Besides Sandru, there was another person in the office.

Catherine!

At the moment, the two of them were making idle small talk.

Catherine was here at this time not because she had business with Sandru, but because she was waiting for Roy.

Late one night a few days ago, Roy had paid another visit to Rock Lion Castle and told her to come to the tavern tonight.

She didn’t know what Roy wanted, but she had come anyway.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

A knock suddenly sounded at the door.

Hearing the knock, Catherine, who was sitting on the sofa in the reception area, immediately picked up the mask from the table and put it on.

Only after she had her mask on did Sandru, sitting across from her, speak. ”Come in.”

Under his and Catherine’s gaze, the office door was slowly pushed open, and a familiar figure dressed in black with a black face covering appeared before them.

The person who entered was none other than Roy, who had just come from Ice Wolf Castle.

Upon seeing him, before he could even speak, Catherine took off her mask, revealing a delicate and bewitching face.

”What took you so long?”

Catherine asked quickly, her fine brows slightly furrowed.

”I was held up by a few things.”

Roy walked over to the armchair next to Catherine and sat down, replying with a calm expression.

After he sat down, Sandru picked up the wine in front of him and poured Roy a glass.

Even though Roy had never drunk alcohol in front of him before, he still poured him a glass out of courtesy.

”You specifically asked me to come tonight. What’s this all about?”

Catherine continued to press.

”I’m leaving Yorkshire for a while, and I need to ask a favor of you both.”

Roy replied.

’Leaving Yorkshire?’

Upon hearing his answer, both Catherine and Sandru looked surprised.

”Where are you going?”

Catherine asked immediately, without much thought.

”The Royal Capital!”

After speaking, Roy raised his right hand, took off his face covering, and revealed his true face to Catherine and Sandru.

This...

Catherine and Sandru were both stunned.

They never would have imagined that Roy would suddenly reveal his true identity at a time like this.

After sizing Roy up for a moment, Catherine asked in an uncertain tone, ”You look a little familiar. Have we met somewhere before?”

”Four years ago, we met at your coming-of-age banquet.”

Roy took a sip of the wine in front of him and spoke slowly.

’Coming-of-age banquet?’

Catherine quickly searched her memory, then said with a look of astonishment, ”You’re Roy Wesley? The second son of the Wesley Clan who only liked to read and hated Cultivation?”

”Yes, that’s me!”

Roy nodded.

After he admitted it, Catherine and Sandru quickly guessed what favor he was going to ask.

”You want to ask us to secretly look after the Wesley Clan?”

Sandru asked quickly.

”Yes!”

”Although Tony has been promoted to High Tier Knight, his Power is still not enough to deter potential enemies.”

”If someone gives him trouble, I hope you can step in and help.”

Roy replied at once, without any hesitation.

If he were to stay in Ice Wolf Castle, he wouldn’t have to worry about anyone causing trouble for Tony.

As he was now, he was undoubtedly the strongest Knight in all of Yorkshire.

Even if Count Rock Lion were to mobilize all the Knights under his command, Roy was absolutely confident he could take them all down.

The problem was, he was leaving for the Royal Capital tomorrow.

Before he left, he planned to buy an insurance policy for Tony.

”No problem. I can secretly keep an eye on the Wesley Clan.”

”However, I have one condition.”

Sandru said with a smile.

”What condition?”

Roy asked.

”It’s simple. I want to fight you. I’ve always been curious just how strong you really are.”

Sandru looked at Roy with a serious expression.

He didn’t know that Roy was already a Bronze Great Knight; he only knew that Roy had advanced to Black Iron Great Knight over a month ago.

Although Sandru and Catherine were comrades from the same organization, Roy always adhered to the principle of never revealing his true strength to anyone.

Four months ago, he had already become a Black Iron Great Knight.

But it wasn’t until he had cultivated both the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique and the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method to the Tier Seven Limit, becoming one of the most outstanding Bronze Great Knights, that he told Sandru and Catherine he had advanced to Black Iron Great Knight.

”If that’s your condition, I have no objection.”

Roy replied calmly.

Just as he finished speaking, Catherine’s voice rang out.

”I want to fight you too!”

Catherine knew she was certainly no match for Roy, but she wanted to see for herself just how wide the gap was between her current self and a Black Iron Great Knight.

In her eyes, Roy, who had only recently advanced to Black Iron Great Knight, should be about as strong as Count Rock Lion, who was already past his peak.

In other words, she wanted to know the difference in strength between herself and Count Rock Lion.

”Alright!”

Roy didn’t refuse, replying swiftly.

Catherine immediately picked up the mask from the table and said, ”I know a good place to fight.”

With that, she put on her mask and was the first to leave the office.

Seeing her leave in such a rush, Roy and Sandru said nothing, simply getting up to follow.

Less than half an hour later, they were back in the office.

Although they were gone for over twenty minutes, their fight hadn’t even lasted one minute.

To be precise, it was only a dozen or so seconds.

Catherine couldn’t even block a single move before Roy shattered her Protective Fighting Qi and pressed his Fine Steel Cross Sword to her throat.

Sandru fared a little better, lasting a few more moves.

Sandru had expected to lose, but he never thought he would lose so decisively.

Unlike Count Rock Lion, who was past his prime, Sandru was still in the final stages of his peak.

Even so, he had only lasted for ten-odd seconds.

’Monster!’

’He’s an absolute monster!’

This was Sandru’s first reaction after losing to Roy.
