Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Cannot Die in Peace

In the blink of an eye, Roy was in front of the two High Tier Knights. His Fine Steel Cross Sword, wreathed in White Fighting Qi, lashed out like lightning.

SHINK!

The Fine Steel Cross Sword carved a graceful arc, precisely slicing across the neck of one High Tier Knight and beheading him.

After dispatching one in a flash, Roy’s left hand shot out and grabbed the other High Tier Knight by the neck.

Without hesitation, he squeezed hard.

CRACK!

The crisp snap of a neck bone rang out!

It was only after he broke the second High Tier Knight’s neck that the beheaded one finally toppled to the ground, landing with a heavy thud.

Even during the day, the sound of a High Tier Knight falling would have drawn attention.

Let alone now, in the dead of night.

Roy paid it no mind. Releasing his left hand, he raised his right foot and kicked hard at the door.

BANG!

The sturdy door, carved with exquisite patterns, shattered and burst open from his kick.

The next second, he walked in, his Fine Steel Cross Sword still dripping with blood.

As soon as he entered the bedroom, he saw his target for the night, Webb, as well as a woman with wavy golden hair, a beautiful face, and a voluptuous figure.

This woman was not Webb’s wife, but his Personal Maid.

To be precise, she was his Personal Maid and his lover.

Unlike Jeremy, who had numerous lovers, Webb had only one.

To better facilitate his daily ”in-depth exchanges” with his lover, he hadn’t let her live in Redwood City. Instead, he brought her back to the castle to serve, at least officially, as his Personal Maid.

A little over an hour ago, Webb and his lover had finished a session of their tense, exciting, and not-for-children ”in-depth exchange,” and he had only just fallen asleep.

When he heard the thud from outside the door, his eyes snapped open.

However, before he could even get out of bed, the door was violently kicked open by Roy.

The tremendous crash of the door not only startled Webb, but also woke the golden-haired lover sleeping beside him.

Although the light was dim, Webb recognized Roy immediately, an expression of utter disbelief crossing his face.

’The Dark Night Knight!’

’How did he get here?’

’Hasn’t he already left Yorkshire?’

Several thoughts flashed through Webb’s mind in an instant.

At the same time, his gaze unconsciously fell upon the Cross Sword he had casually left on the table.

Roy wasted no time, lunging toward Webb.

Though he knew he was no match for Roy, Webb had no intention of just sitting there and waiting to die.

Without hesitation, he activated his Rock Lion Fighting Qi, grabbing his golden-haired lover by the shoulder and right hand.

Before the golden-haired woman could react, he threw her, stark naked and voluptuous, at his attacker like a weapon.

It had to be said, Webb’s move was quite unexpected.

Neither his golden-haired lover nor Roy had expected him to do such a thing.

Although it was surprising, Webb’s action didn’t buy him much time.

Fighting Qi Slash!

A crescent-shaped slash of White Fighting Qi shot toward Webb and the woman.

Seeing Webb use his lover to buy time, Roy had decisively unleashed his Fighting Qi Slash.

SHINK!

The incredibly powerful Fighting Qi Slash first sliced through the golden-haired lover’s body, cutting her in two.

Then, still carrying lethal force, it continued toward Webb.

Unable to dodge in time, Webb had no other choice but to cover his right fist in Rock Lion Fighting Qi and punch at the crescent-shaped White Fighting Qi Slash.

Although he had covered his right hand with as much Rock Lion Fighting Qi as he could, his punch still failed to destroy the Fighting Qi Slash Roy had released.

SHINK!

The crescent-shaped White Fighting Qi Slash cut through his right arm like a sharp blade, completely severing his forearm.

Blood gushed from the stump of his forearm as if it were free, and the intense pain of the severed limb instantly shot through Webb’s entire body.

Roy didn’t let him suffer for long.

Before Webb could even lower his ruined arm, Roy was in front of him, beheading him with a standard Horizontal Slash.

Webb’s head immediately separated from his body and fell onto the bed, his face still frozen in an expression of pain and disbelief.

Perhaps by coincidence, after Webb’s head landed on the bed, his eyes were still staring in Roy’s direction.

’Dying with his eyes open.’

Seeing Webb’s eyes still fixed on him, that phrase flashed unbidden through Roy’s mind.

Without hesitation, he immediately stored Webb’s head in the Chaos Square.

Although the Chaos Square had the ability to automatically clean up trash and filth, he wasn’t worried that it would dispose of Webb’s head as if it were garbage.

The Chaos Square would only clean up things he hadn’t put away properly after he entered and left it.

Until then, the Chaos Square would only clean the blood from Webb’s head.

After storing Webb’s head in the Chaos Square, Roy wasted no time, immediately going to the window, pushing it open, and jumping out.

...

「West District of Redwood City.」

The second floor of the ”Red Salmon and Cherry Pie” tavern.

Sandru’s office.

Roy placed the gray parcel in his hand on the desk and said to Sandru, ”I’ve brought back Webb Belons’s head.”

Sandru looked at him calmly and opened the gray parcel.

As the parcel was opened, Webb’s head came into view.

’This is...?’

Sandru frowned slightly as he observed Webb’s head, its eyes wide open in death.

’It’s too clean!’

There wasn’t a trace of blood on Webb’s head; it was as clean as if it had been meticulously wiped down.

After a few seconds, Sandru said slowly, ”The client only asked for Webb’s head to be brought back. There was no request for you to clean it. You didn’t need to do that.”

”I’m a bit of a neat freak. I can’t stand carrying a bloody head around with me.”

Roy replied calmly.

’A neat freak?’

’Could he really be from a noble family?’

Sandru sized Roy up impassively before continuing, ”After deducting the portion to reward Catherine, you’ll receive 900 Contribution Points for this mission.”

”Add that to the 100 bonus points you received for joining the organization, and that comes to exactly 1,000 points.”

With that, Sandru took the Inheritance Maps for the Bronze Bear Breathing Technique and the Giant Horned Rhinoceros Breathing Method from a drawer and handed them to Roy.

Roy took the Inheritance Maps and gave them a brief glance.

After confirming Sandru hadn’t given him the wrong ones, he tucked the Inheritance Maps securely away and stood up. ”The mission is complete,” he said to Sandru. ”I’ll be heading back now.”

”Alright!”

Sandru replied immediately.

After leaving the tavern, Roy headed straight back to Ice Wolf Castle.

Not long after he left, Sandru called the bartender, Blatt, into his office. ”You will leave the city tonight,” he told Blatt. ”Take Webb Belons’s head to Baron Iron Claw Bear and have him fulfill his promise immediately.”

”Yes, Master!”

Blatt replied at once, without a hint of hesitation.

Then, carrying the gray parcel containing Webb’s head, he left the tavern.
