Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: Tier 7 Ice Wolf King, Bronze Great Knight

After Count Rock Lion issued the bounty, Sonia fled.

Roy wanted to know Sonia’s whereabouts not to make her pay him back, but simply out of curiosity about where she had gone.

He hadn’t dealt with many people in Redwood City.

Sonia was one of them.

Although their relationship was just that of an ordinary merchant and customer, he still wanted to know where she was.

”She may be Ticky’s daughter, but from a Black Market Merchant’s perspective, she’s just a novice who recently joined the business.”

”If you need to procure materials, I can help.”

Sandru said to Roy.

”I just want to know where she is, not buy materials from her.”

Roy replied.

Sandru fell silent.

After several seconds, he continued, ”Did you know all along that Ticky and I were friends?”

’What?’

Roy looked at Sandru, a surprised expression on his face.

Before he could speak, Sandru’s voice sounded again.

”Forget it. It doesn’t matter even if you did know.”

”Since we’re on the topic, I won’t hide it from you anymore.”

”The first time Count Rock Lion put a bounty on you, I had my men find her and send her to the Royal Capital.”

”Also, I’m Ticky’s real partner.”

”A large portion of the things you previously acquired from Ticky and Sonia... I was the one who procured them.”

At this, Sandru paused, opened the drawer on his right, and took out a piece of parchment, handing it to Roy.

After Roy took the parchment, Sandru continued, ”These are the materials you asked her to acquire last time, right? She told me you’ve already paid.”

”If you still want these materials, I can give them to you on her behalf.”

Roy glanced at the materials listed on the parchment and nodded.

While he had no intention of getting his money back from Sonia, he didn’t mind receiving the materials needed to concoct Basic Potions from Sandru.

”Come back to the tavern in a week, and I’ll give you the materials on this list.”

Sandru said slowly.

”Alright!”

Roy handed the parchment back to Sandru, then got up and left Sandru’s office.

After leaving the tavern, Roy didn’t go to Rock Lion Castle to find Catherine; he returned directly to Ice Wolf Castle.

He rested in his bedroom for a few minutes, then entered Chaos Square to continue his cultivation of the Purgatory Dragon Meditation Method.

...

Time flew by.

More than three months passed in the blink of an eye.

For Roy, the past three-plus months were no different from before.

Cultivating Breathing Techniques and Meditation Techniques!

After grinding the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique to the Tier Seven Limit, he further figured out the rules for fusing and upgrading Breathing Techniques.

Besides being of the same type, the Breathing Techniques used for fusion and upgrading also had to be of the same Level.

To put it simply, the Ordinary Level Giant Elephant Breathing Technique could not be directly used to upgrade the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique.

To avoid wasting the Giant Elephant Breathing Technique and the Shadow Leopard Breathing Technique, he had cultivated two more Ordinary Level Breathing Techniques: one Power Type and one Speed Type.

An Ordinary Level Breathing Technique required a total of 21,000 Skill Level points to go from introductory to the limit.

Before advancing to Black Iron Great Knight, it took Roy about a month to grind an Ordinary Level Breathing Technique to its limit.

After advancing, however, his cultivation efficiency increased significantly, especially since both the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique and the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method had been ground to the Tier Seven Limit.

Now, cultivating a Breathing Technique in Chaos Square for one hour could raise his Skill Level by 250 points.

Eight hours of cultivation a day meant 2,000 Skill Level points.

In other words, he now only needed eleven days to grind an Ordinary Level Breathing Technique to the Tier Five Limit.

「Chaos Square.」

Roy stopped cultivating the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method and glanced at his Skill Proficiency Panel.

[Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique: Tier Seven (Limit), Special Effect: Middle Level Power]

[Ice Wolf King Breathing Method: Tier Seven (Limit), Special Effect: Middle Level Speed]

[Mammoth Breathing Technique: Tier Six (8,943/20,000), Special Effect: Middle Level Power]

[Ghost Leopard Breathing Technique: Tier Six (7,394/20,000), Special Effect: Middle Level Speed]

The Mammoth and Ghost Leopard Breathing Techniques were the new Breathing Techniques created by upgrading the Giant Elephant and Shadow Leopard Breathing Techniques.

Although these two Breathing Techniques hadn’t been cultivated to their limits yet, they already possessed special effects because they had been upgraded from the Ordinary Level.

The only problem was that these two special effects overlapped with those of the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique and the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method, rendering them useless.

The overlapping effects seemed like a bit of a waste.

But the Fighting Qi boost from the Mammoth and Ghost Leopard Breathing Techniques was tangible and not wasted in the slightest.

Just like four months ago, Roy still only had four Life Seeds.

However, with his current strength, he could have effortlessly crushed his former self from four months ago.

Four months ago, he had only cultivated two Exemplary Breathing Techniques and two Ordinary Breathing Techniques, and of the two Ordinary ones, only the Giant Elephant Breathing Technique had reached the Tier Five Limit.

Now, all four Breathing Techniques he was cultivating were Exemplary Breathing Techniques.

Not only that, but he had also ground both the Iron Claw Bear Breathing Technique and the Ice Wolf King Breathing Method to the Tier Seven Limit.

According to this continent’s standard for Level classification, cultivating one Exemplary Breathing Technique to its limit made one a Bronze Great Knight.

In other words, Roy wasn’t just a Bronze Great Knight; he was one of the best among them.

With his current strength, killing the Black Iron Great Knight, Count Rock Lion, would be no more difficult than killing a Senior Knight.

Even if he fought a Silver Great Knight, he could still manage to retreat unscathed.

Closing the Skill Proficiency Panel, Roy’s gaze pierced through the gray fog enveloping Chaos Square.

After confirming there was no one else in his bedroom, he returned to his bedroom.

He rested for a few minutes, strapped on his Fine Steel Cross Sword, left the bedroom, and headed toward Tony’s study.

Soon, he arrived at Tony’s study.

Seeing the Fine Steel Cross Sword on him, Tony spoke before Roy could say a word.

”Are you sure you want to fight me today?”

”If you’re not confident, I can give you another ten days.”

Tony put down the letter in his hands, looked up at Roy, and said slowly.

”Let’s do it today.”

”The Royal Family’s Recruitment Order arrived yesterday. It’s time to decide which of us will represent the Wesley Clan in the war.”

Roy replied nonchalantly.

After half a year of preparations, the King had finally issued the Recruitment Order and begun mustering his forces.

The Wesley Clan, a Baron Clan ennobled by the King, had unsurprisingly received a Recruitment Order sent from the Royal Capital.

”Since you’re ready, let’s settle it today!”

”By the way, I forgot to tell you, I advanced to High Tier Knight a month ago.”

”If you want to concede, it’s not too late.”

Tony stood up, looking at Roy with a confident expression.

’Is that so?’

’I also forgot to tell you that I became a Bronze Great Knight two months ago.’

That’s what he thought, but Roy didn’t say it out loud. He said unhurriedly, ”We’ll only know who wins and who loses after we fight.”

”I’ll be waiting for you in the square in front of the main building. Don’t keep me waiting too long.”

With that said, Roy turned and left the study without waiting for Tony’s reply.
