Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1994: Planet 1157

Jie Suʼs hand holding the utensils paused for a moment, then he began eating again, slowly and elegantly. After a short while, he said, ”Explain more clearly.”

Ye Zhongming leaned back and adjusted his posture to make himself more comfortable.

”You know, among the rewards I got for being the Novice champion, one item is that the Star-Eye Clan can open a planet battlefield.”

Jie Su nodded. This was like the Library Palace reading permission; both were fixed rewards, the only difference being that one was for an individual, the other for the represented race.

”I obtained the decision-making power for the opening time.”

Jie Su raised his eyebrows, tilting his head, still not understanding.

A planet battlefield was actually a more dangerous Novice battlefield. The lifeforms there, even the natives, were very powerful. To conquer such a planet, it must be done as a unit; individual strength was actually very insignificant.

He didnʼt understand what use it was for Ye Zhongming to obtain the decision-making power for the opening time. Did opening it earlier or later really have a big impact on gaining benefits?

Also, what did this have to do with what he said about being able to let himself eat here without worries?

”I plan to open the Planet Hunting Ground in one and a half months. I hope the Su Clan can participate, as an ally of the Star-Eye Clan.”
Although the Su Clanʼs individual combat power wasnʼt strong, their understanding of arrays was truly unique. After Ye Zhongming personally witnessed the power of those arrays, he felt that these people were not only natural defenders but also the best partners for pioneering.

As long as you gave them a piece of land and a little time, they could give you a whole new world. Such strong teammates were truly precious.

Jie Su frowned.

Participating in the Planet Hunting Ground shouldnʼt be a problem for his clan, but the issue of joining forces with the Star-Eye Clan was hard to say.

After all, Jie Suʼs personal wishes were not enough to influence the Su Clanʼs decisions.

”Is that all?”

Looking at Ye Zhongmingʼs expression, Jie Su felt this guy wouldnʼt have just this one request, because this decision also didnʼt quite match the statement about Jie Su himself being able to afford eating here frequently.

”Do you have a way to get some aircraft? Those who can obtain flight rights for routes?”

Jie Su widened his eyes and asked Ye Zhongming in a surprised tone, ”What exactly are you trying to do? Whatʼs the use of these things?”

”Of course, they are useful. Do you have a way? If you donʼt, then I can only talk to your Su Clan. In that case, the number of times you can come here to eat probably wonʼt be much more than now.”

Ye Zhongming said with a laugh.

Jie Suʼs gaze kept scanning Ye Zhongmingʼs face, as if trying to see something.

”Stop looking. Iʼve always had an idea that needs your support.”

Ye Zhongming didnʼt continue being mysterious. He began explaining his purpose to Jie Su.

”After coming out of the Novice battlefield, I scrutinized all the rewards. Afterward, I found relevant information and became interested in some things, for example, resource stars.”

Jie Su was initially listening attentively, but when he heard Ye Zhongming mention resource stars and connected them with his earlier request for spacecraft and routes, he immediately understood his meaning.

He directly shook his head and said, ”Let me tell you, major races and factions occupy all the current resource stars. Do you still want to fly a spacecraft to mine illegally? That is absolutely impossible.”

Jie Su felt that Ye Zhongming probably didnʼt understand the situation well, hence this fantastical idea.

Who knew Ye Zhongming would shake his head and say, ”No, they havenʼt completely occupied them. There is one star that is ownerless.”

Jie Su didnʼt understand. Based on his knowledge, there were no ownerless resource stars at all.

”Seventy years ago, a resource star occupied by the Huoʼer Star people had to be abandoned because of changes in the Slave Race, making it too close to the Slave Race area. The exploitation rate at that time was eighty percent of the proven reserves; most resources had been mined out. Later, the Slave Raceʼs position changed again. Although it re-entered the safe starfield, it was at the very edge. For the remaining twenty percent of resources, they would need to transport a large amount of manpower and machinery again. After calculating the costs, the Huoʼer Star people abandoned it because with the same time and effort, they could occupy a completely new resource star.”

”Now, after this round of changes in the major survivor fortresses, that place has deviated from the safe area again and disappeared from everyoneʼs sight. But the deviation isnʼt much, only a few light-years.”

”That star is called Resource Star 1157.”

Jie Su looked at Ye Zhongming incredulously, not knowing how this guy could pay such close attention to an abandoned resource star like this.

Ye Zhongmingʼs detailed account undoubtedly prompted Jie Su to think seriously. After a moment, he still shook his head and said, ”Itʼs too dangerous. Even if the deviation isnʼt large, itʼs still outside the safe starfield. If an accident were to happen, the chance of loss would be greater. Moreover, life is important.”

After he finished, Ye Zhongming immediately refuted, ”According to the profit records the Huoʼer Star people obtained from there before, even with only twenty percent of the resources left, itʼs enough for people like us who can only operate on a small scale to mine for over ten years. Every year, after deducting various expenses, the profit would exceed two million Moonspan Gold. Ten years would be twenty million Moonspan Gold, and this is a conservative estimate. If new mineral veins are discovered, this number might double.”

The Cloud Peak King moved closer to Jie Su and said, ”For twenty million Moonspan Gold, isnʼt it worth taking the risk?”

Was it worth it?

These three words constantly echoed in Jie Suʼs mind. He very much wanted to say they couldnʼt take the risk, but the number of tens of millions of Moonspan Gold made it impossible for him to speak.

”So, if you can get the aircraft and the route, then Iʼll handle the machinery, manpower, and other matters. Net profit, you and I split sixty-forty.”

Even if Jie Su could obtain these, a thirty percent share would be a reasonable proportion. After all, all other aspects required Ye Zhongming to invest and manage, with a long time span. But the extra ten percent was because even though they were friends, he still needed to repay the favor.

Actually, in Ye Zhongmingʼs heart, the most ideal partner was Yisewei. Her status in the Musk Star people was far higher than Jie Suʼs in the Su Clan. That dedicated lady should have been able to handle this matter easily.

But who let Yisewei be under house arrest right now.

”The machinery and people all need to be provided by the Star-Eye Clan, right? Will they agree?”

Faced with this question from Jie Su, Ye Zhongming smiled.

”Thereʼs a saying on my home planet: those with nothing to lose fear nothing. Since the Star-Eye Clan is already in such a state, what else is there to worry about, donʼt you think?”
