Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1985: First time in Library Palace

The impact that the Tripedal Race once brought to Ye Zhongming seemed to have returned once again.

In the beginning, it should be said that the Tripedal Race was the first to give him an understanding of the universe, the Slave Race, and non-earth life. Although by now, Ye Zhongming knew that much of what the Tripedal Race told him was wrong, he could not determine whether the other party intentionally deceived him, or because he was a Blue Secret Realm lifeform of the ʼTripedal Descendantsʼ, this kind of information, obviously passed down from ancestors, was inherently incorrect.

But regardless, Ye Zhongming bore a little responsibility for the death of the Tripedal Race member, and he had once made a contract with the Tripedal Race member to take them out and return to their home planet. Even though the contract was not absolute, only stating it was possible under certain circumstances, it cannot be denied that the Later Abdominal Posthumous People later used the life force of the Tripedal Race member to power the Judgment Light to kill the Holy Father.

So, seeing a member of the Tripedal Race here inevitably evoked strange emotions in him.

This person looked at Ye Zhongmingʼs appearance, thought for a moment, then smiled and said, ”Havenʼt seen my race before? I am of the Six-Branch Mind Star Race. You can no longer find us on other survivor fortresses. Only here, in Starshine City, or rather, only in the Library Palace, can you find people of our race.”

Ye Zhongming listened while quickly adjusting his mindset.

”Sorry, I just came up from my home planet not long ago. Iʼve either been busy training or busy with the Novice challenges, so Iʼm not very familiar with many things yet.”

This Tripedal person waved his hand dismissively, put away the parchment, and gestured for Ye Zhongming to follow him. As they walked, he said, ”Actually, itʼs not just you. Many of the new generation of the cosmic races also do not understand or even know about us.”

The group walked out of this building, and this person suddenly said to Ye Zhongming, ”Your guards can find a place to rest on their own. In five days, when you come out of the Library Palace, they can accompany you back.”

After speaking, he seemed to know Ye Zhongmingʼs concern and said, ”Rest assured, no matter who you have offended, or how many people want to kill you, since you were fine before meeting me, from now until you leave the Library Palace, you are absolutely safe.”
This Tripedal personʼs attitude was very amiable, but these words revealed great confidence.

Ye Zhongming couldnʼt help but recall what Cheng Liuji once told him about the librarians in the Library Palace. Could it be that these three thousand librarians are all truly experts?

Six-Branch Mind Star Race? The Tripedal Race had not told Ye Zhongming about this.

The six guards left after receiving Ye Zhongmingʼs signal, agreeing to pick him up at the Library Palace in five days.

This Tripedal person named ʼRound Spearʼ actually led him forward on foot, explaining Starshine City and the Library Palace to Ye Zhongming along the way.

From his words, Ye Zhongming learned several things. One was that since the establishment of the Library Palace, the Six-Branch Mind Star Race had become its managers. At that time, they were not yet referred to as librarians. The cosmic races appointed them to manage the place due to their vast mental abilities, comprehensive understanding, management skills, and equally resilient bodies.

No other race was more suitable to manage the Library Palace, which housed hundreds of millions of books.

Another thing was that the highest reading permission in the Library Palace was S-level, with A-level being the second-highest. That is to say, except for the Top Book Pavilion that Round Spear mentioned, Ye Zhongming could enter all other areas.

Ye Zhongming also asked Round Spear what he could read inside. Round Spear did not lie to him but thought carefully and told the Cloud Peak King that, except for some secret techniques of major races, he could basically read everything.

This made Ye Zhongming happy for a long time.

There was no other way. In the universe, if you want to continue progressing, there is no evolution potion to help. Moreover, the Star-Eye Clanʼs training method focused more on the word ʼlightness,ʼ which was more conducive to their ambushes, hiding, and assaults, and was not suitable for Ye Zhongming.

Coming here, Ye Zhongming had two goals. The first was to find a training method suitable for himself. The other was to find training methods suitable for... his people.

The last matter was also related to the second thing. Ye Zhongming directly asked Round Spear whether he could teach others what he learned in the Library Palace.

Ye Zhongming could not forget Round Spearʼs surprised look, but he still received an affirmative answer: as long as it could be learned in the Library Palace, it could be taken out and taught to others. This was a convention between the cosmic races and the Library Palace.

Although he didnʼt understand why Round Spear was so surprised upon hearing this, Ye Zhongming didnʼt care too much. Since that was the case, he planned to learn several things so that he could quickly strengthen his people, whether teaching the assault camp warriors or future Cloud Peak members who came up.

Starshine City was very large. However, after leaving that building and walking for about an hour, Ye Zhongming saw at the end of the straight street a magnificent architectural complex rising from the ground!

The closer he got, the more he could sense the awe this complex evoked in him.

It should be an awe of perfect integration of technology, aesthetics, spatial design, and everything.

Moreover, even before entering it, Ye Zhongming could experience the weight and grace that time and years brought to people.

Inside, it seemed as though some power inspired immense respect and awe for this architectural complex.

This was the Library Palace! This was the place that countless races of the universe once yearned for!

”The Library Palace has no entrance but is divided into ten major districts. Each district is distinguished by year or book category. I will first introduce them to you, then you can decide which district to enter.” Round Spear did not take Ye Zhongming in immediately, but began introducing the Library Palace.

”Once you have chosen, see that stone platform? Stand on it and press the number, and you will be transported to the corresponding area.”

”Take this, keep it well. Otherwise, you cannot enter the Library Palace no matter what.” Round Spear handed Ye Zhongming an ancient-looking stone slab with some patterns and numbers carved on it.

Round Spear began the introduction, and Ye Zhongming listened carefully. It took about ten minutes for Round Spear to finish, and it was very detailed.

If explaining to Ye Zhongming was Round Spearʼs job, then this person was undoubtedly very serious about it.

”Alright, make the most of your time. Five days is actually far from enough. The Library Palace is too large, and it has too many books. You must think carefully before choosing which district to go to; otherwise, it will be very troublesome.”

After finishing the introduction, Round Spear was about to leave. He stood on the stone platform and also took out a stone slab. Before teleporting away, he looked at Ye Zhongming and said, ”By the way, all spatial equipment will fail inside the Library Palace, so you need to take out whatever you need in advance.”

”Alright, thatʼs all. Good luck.”

After speaking, Round Spearʼs figure slowly disappeared from the stone platform.
