Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1351: City in the skies

Scarbi City was one of the few cities in Heima Valley. Compared to other regions, this city was smaller and weirder.

However, this was the unique point of this city that made it stand out among the cities in the territory.

The first point was that the city was built in mid-air. Of course, it wasn’t floating; there were three hundred thick and shiny crystal pillars supporting it.

This was done to prevent the Heima below from attacking. The slippery crystal pillars made it hard for them to climb up. The tip of each pillar had attack holes. You could pour boiling oil, poison, flames, etc., to push them back when needed.

The height of the crystals was enough to prevent those Heima with flying abilities from flying through these holes.

The second unique point was that commerce here was very developed.

Although the number of humans here was fewer than in other regions because of those terrifying lifeforms below, they were more concentrated. If you didn’t want to end up as white bones in your sleep, living in the city in the skies was the best choice.

Materials like stone, herbs, and grass were abundant in the valley. There was also the very important Red Scarf Fruit. This was something that humans needed, no matter the time. The production from Heima Valley was 80% of the entire territory. There were many explorers who replied on the fruits, forming a full commerce circle with the relevant occupations. It supported the existence of cities like Scarbi City and made it shine as brightly as any other city.

These two unique points resulted in Scarbi City’s history and flavor.

When Ye Zhongming saw this city, he was in awe of everything. This world, no, this universe, had many things he had never seen before. In front of these things, no matter how high his evolution level was, he would feel the pressure from time and history.
Maybe he and others got very strong and could look at the world as a conqueror. But they wouldn’t be able to rule over it forever. One day, they would lose to time and become history.

They would turn into unassuming dust in the eternal river of time.

“Ye, we aren’t on your level in hunting for fruits, but in terms of sales, we are good at it. We know which stall has a good price and who is best at judging the age of the fruit!”

This period with Ye Zhongming was a period where Yindi would laugh even in his sleep.

There was never a day that he imagined he would sit on the ground and look at a pile of fruits. To him, they were all money.

Usually, he and his family didn’t eat such fruits. Once they had a chance to hunt, the seven of them would select one person to eat, and they would sell the others. Next time, someone else would eat the fruit.

But the fruits weren’t so easy to get. They were explorers for so long and hadn’t even gone one full cycle. Yindi and Lan Jin didn’t know what the Red Scarf Fruit tasted like.

However, during this period, the six of them received five huge fruits. A few of them ate three and kept two to sell.

Although Ye Zhongming promised to give them 20% of the gains, they felt he didn’t understand the situation. Once he knew how valuable the fruits were, he would regret it.

To them, these five were all they had. As compared to what Ye Zhongming got, that was minimal. But they were satisfied. Eating three strengthened them by a large amount. One of them that was about to break through could step through the bottleneck. The others had gains and improved more than their tough daily cultivation.

Ye Zhongming nodded. They were locals and knew more than an outsider like him.

“Then help me sell some of the fruits. There is no need to sell too much; just sell 50. Sell those from size one to five.”

If you shone a light into the fruit, you would see white thread-shaped things inside. The older fruits will have more circles inside that are similar to how the age of trees is judged. The more circles, the older it was, and the more effective.

“Are you not selling all of them? If there are more fruits, we can control the price.”

A member was stunned and didn’t understand.

Yindi slapped his head.

“Stupid, if you take out so many, they will not only bargain but will also suppress the price. What did Ye say? Things are expensive because they are rare. Do you understand?”

Ye Zhongming smiled. Not only was he learning from Yindi and the others, but they were also learning from him.

“Here are the stuff, go sell them. I will walk around, and we can meet at the hotel we agreed upon.”

Ye Zhongming handed a bag of fruits to Yindi and planned to walk about to see if he could get information.

“You are just passing this to me?” Yinndi stammered. Fifty Red Scarf Fruits. This amount wasn’t much for Ye Zhongming, but it was a huge sum for them. Was he not afraid they would run? ȑ𝐀₦ổᛒƐⱾ

“50. Compared to the 20% I agreed to give you, it isn’t much, right?” Ye Zhongming replied.

“You are really going to give us 20%?” Yindi’s mouth opened wide.

“I usually don’t lie.” He slapped his shoulder, “Okay, go over. I will walk about.”

He entered the crowd and left the six of them stunned.

Scarbi City was huge, as expected from the City of Commerce. Shops were all around, and there were many places to eat and stay. Entertainment was also very popular.

There were many items, different shop types, and entertainment options that he had never seen before.

He was curious about everything and would ask constantly. Although the people felt he looked weird, they didn’t ask and patiently explained to him. Those impatient ones chased him away, but he didn’t care.

After a short walk, he saw something.
