Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1341: Liver pain

During these few days, each time someone passed Ye Zhongming’s villa, they would glance a few times. Not only was Yellow Ball laying there, but Yangos was wandering around, and Red Hair would frequently enter. Even Xia Bai and her female guards all evolved inside.

Xia Bai went from seven-star to eight-star, while the rest went from six-star to seven-star.

Ye Zhongming needed Cloud Peak to get stronger. After thinking about who to make stronger, he decided to place the high-end combat strength beside him.

These women, who had received inhumane treatment from Soul Merchant, as well as a few additions over the years, were the group that was the most loyal to Ye Zhongming.

They were loyal to the death.

Under Xia Bai’s leadership, this became faith.

They would live for Ye Zhongming and die for him.

In peacetime, this was impossible. These women were proud and had one similarity: they were beautiful.

This was also why they could survive and not get eaten by zombies, even though they were ordinary people.

But this reason became very ironic after all that happened after.
Many people said that the female guards were a bunch of freaks, a bunch of maniacs, and crazy people.

Each person in the apocalypse could be described like that, but these women were just far more crazy.

As for their loyalty to Ye Zhongming, it was because he dragged them out of hell, and they had also gone through many life-and-death challenges.

Ye Zhongming was their mental pillar. He was their only mental pillar.

This was the firmest relationship.

The core Cloud Peak members were loyal, too, but comparing the two, their needs of Ye Zhongming and Ye Zhongming’s needs of them were different.

Thinking about the possible dangers he might face in the apocalypse, he needed a team that would stand beside him and die alongside him.

Ye Zhongming changed all the crystals above level four into evolution potions.

Cloud Peak’s lowest level now was four stars. These people were the relatives of warriors or logistics members who were too young or old. Due to evolution, they didn’t fall sick and could become warriors. But Cloud Peak didn’t lack warriors, so their main role was in base building.

People in the battle squads, be it the main squad or the defense squads, the lowest was five-star.

Three years into the apocalypse, when the average evolution level was four stars, Cloud Peak was far above.

Through the Xingzhou City battle, the deputy captains and captains of the battle squads were all six-star evolved.

After taking in some members from other factions, Cloud Peak’s warrior amount broke sixty thousand. This was without including logistics members, researchers and family members. If you counted all of them, Cloud Peak was huge, nearly a hundred thousand.

Those who hadn’t completed their evolution were people like Xia Bai, who were heading toward levels seven and eight.

With enough riches, Ye Zhongming naturally allowed their evolution to be more complete. He used the small techniques and methods from his last life to help these people gain a bit more strength when evolving.

Speaking of which, one had to mention that the gene lab’s evolution potion study had reached six stars.

In his last life, Ye Zhongming spent ten years getting to six-star. He knew the modification recipes of the first few levels and handed them to Liu Zhenghong.

As for whether or not the higher-level potions were modified, he heard that they were, but some people said they weren’t. He was unsure what the truth was.

However, in this life, Liu Zhenghong had studied the five-star potion a long time ago, but it wasn’t as mature as the recipes that Ye Zhongming brought with him. As for the effects, they were going through tests and observations.

Many Cloud Peak members were test subjects.

But this experiment had no dangers. Compared to normal evolution, the difference was just how much the increase in strength was.

As Cloud Peak’s gene lab researched more and more things, Liu Zhenghong’s focus wasn’t on this. He handed this to an assistant who was better in this area and asked him to select some people to continue the study. When facing some problems, Liu Zhenghong would join in and give him some thoughts.

Thus, recently, there was a successful modification of the six-star potion.

Of course, the five-star potion recipe was confirmed, and the six-star potion modification had just entered the testing stages.

But everyone knew what this meant.

So this time, all the six-star warriors used the modified potion.

Liu Zhenghong even called Ye Zhongming to ask about it.

“Should we continue the research?”

Sister Hong’s meaning was obvious. If they were to continue researching it, they would be targeting the seven-star potion. She would place down some other works and focus on this.

Although the higher-level potions were tougher to study, Cloud Peak had a firm base, and using this to develop would make things easier.

Ye Zhongming didn’t answer immediately and was thinking.

This was not an easy decision.

Why was Cloud Peak’s five-star potion research so quick that they entered test stages so early? The reason was because… Cloud Peak could provide many five-star potions to test on.

Many were not absolute. The number of potions used to research was not a huge number; if not, even Ye Zhongming wouldn’t be able to afford it. But as compared to other factions, the five-star potions wasted were enough to hurt any super faction.

Next was the six-star potion research; why was this slow? Besides Liu Zhenghong not focusing on it, the main reason was that six-star potions were precious. They didn’t have any spares. Those that were tested on were saved and scrounged by Ye Zhongming.

Now, Liu Zhenghong asked if they were to continue the research. Ye Zhongming had no reaction, but his liver started to hurt deep down.
