Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 1342: Potion Sale

Were the modified potions good?

They were!

That was undeniable. Some Cloud Peak warriors used the modified potions from the start.

These people had a much stronger foundation than others. The small bits of increase each evolution meant that after the sixth time, the difference in strength wasn’t small.

These people were basically captains and deputy captains. The stronger ones are deputies to the core members.

The modified potions were that important.

But to continue researching the seven-star potion, you would need a certain amount of seven-star potions to test on. But what Cloud Peak lacked now were such potions.

This was reality. You had to invest if you wanted something good.

Usually, Ye Zhongming would only hesitate before agreeing. He didn’t care about the progress and would just pass her a few seven-star potions. They already had experience and wouldn’t waste these good things.

But times were special. All the potions six-star and above were used to turn people into six-star evolved. Ye Zhongming had none of such potions.
But he was not willing to give up.

Ye Zhongming thought, “Sister Hong, if we use the previous experiment methods, how long will it take?”

Liu Zhenghong frowned, “Little Ye, science isn’t estimated like that. If we are lucky, it might take a few dozen days, if not, a few years. I can’t answer your question.”

Ye Zhongming touched his nose and changed his question, “If things are smooth and we have enough potions, you personally participate, and you have enough manpower, what is the quickest timeline?”

This?

Liu Zhenghong considered it: “Although it is similar to your previous question, if I don’t give you a specific number, it would be tough for you to decide.”

Sister Hong pouted and amused Ye Zhongming.

“Three months is normal. Half a year would be slightly mature. If we are lucky, four to five months will yield a perfected seven-star potion recipe.”

Ye Zhongming shook his head.

With him providing an unlimited amount of potions, and having Liu Zhenghong shift manpower over to this project and personally take charge of it, it would still take three to four months. This was something he couldn’t accept.

This thing was good, but it wasn’t the most important thing now.

“No, push back on this.” Ye ZHongming had a thought and looked at Liu Zhenghong, “Sister Hong, if other people have the modified potion, what are the chances that they can break it down?”

Liu Zhenghong squinted her eyes, “Are you thinking about selling the modified potions?”

“I lack money.” Ye Zhongming spread his hands to reply.

Surprisingly, Liu Zhenghong didn’t ask further questions, which stopped Ye Zhongming from explaining.

She kept silent for a short while. She was probably pondering how complicated the potion was and how good the other factions were at research.

“With what I know, there won’t be more than five factions with such research ability. But only three have the ability to break down our recipe. As for the timing, I am not sure, but it will take a few months. Of course, since we were the ones to research the level five and six potions, they have some different theories from before. To break down all six levels… It will take one to two years.”

Liu Zhenghong gave her estimate. There were people who studied modified potions; it was one of the most popular research directions. However, the research environment worsened, and both talent and tools were problems. It was already a large amount to have five factions researching this. As for other Cloud Peak topics, there were only one to two factions in the country that researched them.

Ye Zhongming listened closely. He thought about it and said slowly, “Let’s sell the first four stars. We did leak some one and two-star potions out. Since that is the case, let’s be more decisive and let the first four levels go. We will sell them to Ying City, Posthumous People, and Saint Light Hall first. Once they have enough, we will give it to Mu Xinfei and the others. Then, to Five Ring Money and Cannibal Chains.”

He wouldn’t forget that other people invented the first four recipes. As the apocalypse progressed, organisations that made the potion previously would break through, and this skill would leak. Then, it wouldn’t be as worth money anymore.

“En, right. If possible, we will sell the recipe to Five Ring Money and Cannibal Chain.” Ye Zhongming touched his chin and thought about conning these two factions.

After deciding to sell the modified potions, Cloud Peak released the news. Ye Zhongming changed the low-level crystals into potions and handed them to the lab for modification.

The difference was that it was unlimited, which sent the surrounding factions mad.

Although one and two-star potions weren’t needed anymore, the need for three-star potions was huge. Four-star potions were one where there was not enough supply.

The average level was four stars and there was still a big group of people working towards that level. With this good thing, it naturally became their top choice.

Don’t forget that Cloud Peak had always sold potions. They sold potions to get the crystals and used Ye Zhognming’s elimination technique to earn the difference.

This was a hugely profitable business. Although the supply was uncertain as Ye Zhongming wasn’t always in Cloud Peak and couldn’t spend all his time spinning the wheel, this was a long-term business. Now that the potions would be replaced with modified potions and you only had to pay 10% more crystals, this was very worth it, and people would easily accept it.

Everyone was willing to pay more for a bit more strength.

Another point was that people knew of the modified potions. Now that they were sold, there was no worry of whether the potions were real or fake. This was why they were sold out when they came on the market.

Ye Zhongming’s thinking was quick, and went to inform the nearby factions. He still had modified five and six-star potions, and those who wanted could come to Cloud Peak to purchase. But only the bosses and important people could. Based on the size of the battle squad, they would be sold a certain amount of potions.

As compared to the other potions, the price of the five and six-star potions was much higher. It did make sense for a high price as you could make your evolution stronger than others. Moreover, the price Ye Zhongming asked for wasn’t too high either.

However, the conditions were restricted. Cloud Peak didn’t let them take the potions out of it. If they wanted to buy them, they would pay and then evolve in Cloud Peak, which would keep them safe.

This was to prevent the five- and six-star potions from leaking into the market, and the various faction heads understood.

Thus, many faction leaders who were going to profit from the sales of the materials Cloud Peak left from them were now spending that profit, returning money to Cloud Peak’s pockets.

But it still couldn’t stop the passion of these bosses. They pre-ordered the modified potions such that the orders lasted two months later.

Other factions were also interested in the modified potions. They used various channels to get some four-star potions.

This involved some underground trades. The Ying City evolved sold the modified potions to others for a high price.

Did Cloud Peak know? Of course, they did. But they didn’t say anything and allowed it to develop.

Little Tiger, Young Master Yun, Tong Hu, etc., came to find Ye Zhongming about it and asked him that since he didn’t mind other factions buying, why don’t they sell it straight?

Ye Zhongming smiled and didn’t reply.

This seemingly foolish act had a purpose.

Ying City battle squads were the closest to Cloud Peak. At the crucial moment, they would help Cloud Peak.

They knew the reason why.

They wouldn’t exist without Cloud Peak.

These people were a huge help in the many battles, including the Xingzhou City trip.

Also, Cloud Peak’s expansion took people from them.

After Ye Zhongming found out they were selling modified potions, he didn’t stop them and even allowed them to do so.

Why? It was easy to understand.

Ying City people sold the potions and earned the price difference. What would they do with that difference?
