Algorithm system

Algorithm Storm 5After Zhang Yan followed Lin Yuan to Shanghai, the two naturally became a couple.

Lin Yuan and Zhang Yan felt like an old married couple; there wasn’t much emotion when they did ”that thing.” However, no emotion didn’t mean no passion; it was just that their emotions were purer—just do it!

Firstly, it was out of Lin Yuan’s inner guilt.

Although Lin Yuan currently had some behavioral issues in his personal life, he came from an ordinary family, so even though he did it, he still felt a little guilty.

Lin Yuan felt he was letting down both Zhang Yan and Xia Ye.

In his own words, ”I feel like doing this is wrong, but I can’t help but do it.”

At such times, Zhang Yan would often pretend to hit him hard, but in reality, she would lightly slap him. And she would disdainfully scold him with a ”Being sentimental.”

Secondly, it was because Zhang Yan herself wasn’t very interested in matters between men and women. In her words, ”We’ve reached this point; it wouldn’t make sense not to do something. Even if it’s just to enhance our mutual understanding, we still have to do it.”

Thus, the two even invented a new term—”shake hands.”

They used ”friends shaking hands” to describe intimate contact. So much so that when one party made a request, they would often say, ”How about we shake hands?”

Zhang Yan would often complain, ”Senior Brother, is it right to do this to a good friend?”

”It’s not right. But I know you want me to do this.”

”I’m quite complicated; sometimes I feel like an animal.”

”Livestock?”

”Pretty much.”

...

Lin Yuan and Zhang Yan proved through practice: in the absence of external constraints, there should be no pure friendship between men and women who already admire each other....

So, Zhang Yan naturally became Lin Yuan’s bedmate in Shanghai.

Of course, they dared not publicize this relationship.

Because Zhang Yan’s father arranged Zhang Yan’s work at the Cyberspace Administration of China in Shanghai, Zhang Yan’s identity was clearly not suitable for such a relationship.

Also, because Zhang Yan was at the Cyberspace Administration of China, she conveniently took over the task of liaising with Lin Yuan.

Of course, Zhang Yan was acting as an alumna; she had previously openly studied at Zijin Aviation School. She couldn’t very well say, ”Lin Yuan, that’s my bed mate.”

Having Zhang Yan take on the task of liaising with Lin Yuan was actually also her father’s arrangement.

Because Lin Yuan currently held new technology, and the main theme of Dragon Country was that technology is the primary productive force, and industrial upgrading is the highest ZZZQ. Therefore, this kind of task falling into anyone’s hands would allow them to gain significant experience.

How could Zhang Yan’s father let such a task fall into the hands of others?

But the downside was: Lin Yuan needed to pretend he wasn’t very familiar with Zhang Yan, the person he shared a bed with every night.

In Lin Yuan’s words, ”Even though I’m familiar with every one of your pores, I still have to act as if you’re just a schoolmate.”

---

At a special tea party organized by the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration of China, Lin Yuan was arranged into an exquisite single room.

This single room overlooked the river, and the view was quite good.

”Hello, Senior Lin. This is Director Xia from our Cyberspace Administration of China.” Zhang Yan pretended not to be very familiar with Lin Yuan, introducing the people present to each other, ”We would like to discuss the AI Management Algorithm with Senior Lin. There are two main objectives: first, to support your company’s better development, and second, to explain the situation clearly to the public after understanding it, to prevent excessive panic.”

”Okay, Zhang... Xiao Zhang, please feel free to ask.”

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, everyone took their seats.

Lin Yuan keenly noticed that Director Xia did not sit formally in the center, but rather sat in the middle position with Zhang Yan, which meant that the central position was very ambiguous.

On both sides of Zhang Yan and Director Xia, there were quite a few other people seated. Lin Yuan silently counted, and there were actually eleven people present. From the setup, the other party seemed to attach great importance to this meeting.

Lin Yuan really couldn’t figure out the messy seating arrangement, but he was too lazy to bother.

”Hello, leaders...”

”Mr. Lin, you’re too polite. You can just address us by our respective positions.”

Only then did Lin Yuan realize that the nameplate in front of Zhang Yan read—Director’s Assistant.

He and Zhang Yan had been in Shanghai for so long, and this was the first time he knew the position of his bedmate. It wasn’t that Zhang Yan deliberately concealed it, but that Lin Yuan never cared about such things.

”Director Xia, student Xiao Zhang, and everyone, hello. The AI Manager algorithm is essentially just an advanced program in the field of AI....”

Lin Yuan first patiently explained that his algorithm did not go beyond the scope of AI algorithms. After all, the people present were civil servants from an international first-tier city like Shanghai, and their professional competence was fine. Therefore, Lin Yuan didn’t need to elaborate much; after a simple explanation and a round of questions and answers, the other party understood the general situation of the AI Management Algorithm.

Then Lin Yuan continued, ”I understand the public’s concerns. In fact, what they are worried about is the uncertainty of algorithms, but they are not very good at summarizing what they want to express.

This concern is very simple and very real. Since AI algorithms are a type of program, they naturally have tool attributes. And the impact caused by a tool completely depends on whose hands it is in.

Our Tesla Delivery currently does not intend to expand this algorithm, whether it’s selling this algorithm separately or extending its application beyond the delivery industry, we currently have no such considerations.

Even within the delivery sector, we are currently researching how to limit the use of this algorithm.

Because we discovered a problem—algorithms bring standardization, and standardization brings batch scaling. And under scaling, large catering enterprises have a complete advantage over small businesses. Because in the catering industry, most shops actually don’t have much difference in food taste, and large catering enterprises themselves have an advantage in ingredient costs, and also have economies of scale.

Therefore, they can accept lower profit margins because they can compensate for profits through mature supply chains and high volume.

With the support of this algorithm, large catering enterprises can easily achieve effects similar to KFC, ensuring the food taste of every branch at a very low cost, which will greatly squeeze the living space of small businesses.

This is clearly contrary to my original intention when promoting this algorithm.

So, I plan to introduce a floating commission mechanism later.

The commission rate will increase with the merchant’s annual turnover, similar to the individual income tax rate currently implemented in our country. The more a merchant earns, the more will be deducted.

This is to suppress the profit desires of large catering chain enterprises, thereby ensuring that small and medium-sized businesses always constitute the majority in this market.

My understanding of the catering industry is intensive cultivation; I will not let the factory assembly line play enter this industry....”

Everyone present was very satisfied with Lin Yuan’s answer, but one thing made them uneasy: ”We believe in Mr. Lin’s sentiment. To be honest, before this, we also conducted some research on Mr. Lin. We visited your mentors and school, and also reviewed some of your resumes.

We are very clear that if Mr. Lin wanted to make money, there would be no need to work so hard and thanklessly as he does now.

Regarding the current online criticisms of Mr. Lin, we feel it’s unfair to you.”

Director Xia’s words were very reasonable. Everyone knew that if Lin Yuan were solely after money, he would just take this algorithm to The Other Shore of the Pacific; that’s a paradise for the rich. As long as you have money, you can get anything you want, and things like loli island would be no problem.

However, Lin Yuan did not do so.

”We fully believe in Mr. Lin’s ambitions, but we are concerned about Mr. Lin’s authority. Tesla is, after all, a foreign company. Are those things you just mentioned truly within your control?”
