Storm is comingWhile Good Group’s stock price was soaring, Lin Yuan did not adopt a phased exit strategy this time; he held his stock market chips very steadily.

This was because the stock price fluctuation of Good Group this time was different from the last time.

Last time, it was controlled by Good Group itself, and the decisive factor lay with Good Group, so Lin Yuan could not grasp various details.

But this time it was different; Good Group was helpless.

Currently, there are two factors that can determine Good Group’s stock price: one is the dynamics of international capital, and the other is policy factors.

The decisive factor is naturally the latter; even international capital is constantly paying attention to policy changes regarding the takeout industry within the Dragon Kingdom.

Lin Yuan naturally did not tell Director Wang that he had bought Good Group’s stock. He was not worried about Director Wang knowing, because in a modern economic society, as someone outside the system, Lin Yuan’s operation was completely reasonable and legal.

His suggestion to Director Wang was reasonable and pertinent. Industries like the takeout industry, which provide a large number of jobs, especially many low-level jobs, should not experience drastic fluctuations. Just as staple goods like rice are not allowed to be speculated on, these are things that concern the foundation of people’s livelihoods.

However, with his knowledge of these inside stories and after giving Director Wang his suggestions, Lin Yuan collected a small reward from the stock market. This reward did not come from the pockets of the common people, but from the pockets of capital.

It must be said that Lin Yuan’s operation was a great act of kindness.

Director Wang later sought out Lin Yuan again, very worried about one thing—Director Wang was concerned that what if Good Group’s stock price did not have a bubble? What if Good Group truly had the ability to stabilize the takeout market? Then, if he hastily introduced a policy to balance the development of the takeout market, wouldn’t it become a prime example of public power interfering with private enterprise operations?

And such an operation, in the current context of emphasizing deepened reform, is very sensitive.

One misstep, and Director Wang’s reputation in his later years would be ruined.

Lin Yuan understood his concerns, which naturally stemmed from Director Wang’s lack of understanding of the takeout industry.

Director Wang was not aware that the profits the takeout industry could bring to takeout platforms were simply insufficient to support Good Group’s current stock price.

Lin Yuan had not only delivered takeout but had also worked at Good Group, and now he was at Lanbiao Factory. Therefore, he had a pretty good understanding of the profit composition of takeout platforms.

Even so, despite Lin Yuan patiently explaining for a long time, the other party remained worried.

Director Wang was afraid that if he didn’t manage Good Group, he would suffer when Good Group’s bubble burst. But if he did manage Good Group, he might mess things up.

He even regretted his initial decision, wondering why he had gotten involved in the muddy waters of Good Group just to get a promotion before retirement. Capital-intensive industries are truly not something to be casually touched.

To reassure Director Wang, Lin Yuan decided to ask Musk for some evidence regarding Good Group’s stock price bubble.

He did manage to obtain the relevant materials.

Musk was very generous and sent Lin Yuan internal documents from investment banks like Goldman Sachs regarding their analysis of Good Group’s stock price.

However, Director Wang became cautious this time. He said he couldn’t understand such financial industry documents, and he was more concerned about the current public opinion.

But the public opinion on Good Group in the stock market was currently very good.

Lin Yuan had no choice but to ask Musk again, inquiring about the approximate time they planned to crash the stock price.

The other party replied that Good Group’s stock price bubble still had the potential to grow, and they had no immediate plans to pop it. They would only act if there was a clear policy indication.

Behind Musk stood a large group of international hot money, and these capitals were bloodthirsty monsters who only recognized money, not people.

So Lin Yuan fell into a strange loop—capital wanted to see policy indications before crashing the market, while the person in charge of policy issuance wanted to see anomalies in the capital market first.

This was like a “deadlock” in the IT field.

A was waiting for B to reply, and B was simultaneously waiting for A to reply.

So you wait for me, and I wait for you; both sides continue to wait.

Lin Yuan was a bit dumbfounded, how could the IT world and the real world have this commonality?

So what should he do? Fabricate an internal policy document to fool Musk? Save it, fabricating admission letters caused so many problems, let alone fabricating a policy document.

Lin Yuan told Zhang Yan about this trouble. Unexpectedly, she quickly offered a solution.

“Why do you have to provide a policy document? Can’t you vaguely hint?”

“Hmm?” Lin Yuan suddenly realized that he was actually an honest person, so honest that he didn’t even think of lying when trying to be mischievous.

He remembered the incident where he fabricated the admission letter; wasn’t that also because he was honest?

Lin Yuan always felt that to prove what he said, he needed to produce corresponding evidence. Only after Zhang Yan’s reminder did he finally realize: why should one draft when bragging?

So he sent an email to Musk, roughly meaning: I have a friend, and he told me that the policy level has always wanted the takeout market to develop stably and balancedly, and related policy documents should be coming out soon. You better prepare quickly, don’t say I didn’t give you a heads-up, bro, when the time comes.

Capital immersed in the stock market naturally pays attention to every slightest disturbance, and Musk naturally pressed Lin Yuan for more information.

But Lin Yuan kept playing the ’riddler’ card, using excuses like “I have a friend” and “my friend’s identity cannot be disclosed.”

So Musk also hesitated, after all, this was a business worth hundreds of billions.

Lin Yuan then very generously offered a suggestion—first, create a little movement in the stock market, slightly crash the market, and perhaps the policy level, seeing signs of capital’s market positioning, would intervene earlier.

At the same time, Lin Yuan also hinted to Director Wang: why not release a little news, perhaps through organizations like entrepreneur associations, to see the reaction of the HK capital market to Good Group’s stock price.

Finally, capital and policy, after probing each other, reached a subtle resonance.

It was as if, I was waiting for you, and you were also waiting for me. With their alternating moves, the impending storm began to gather.

As a core economic region in the southeast, any economic policy document issued by Su Province would attract attention from all parties.

Director Wang merely spoke at a business event with many foreign merchants, talking about the prospects of stable employment in the takeout industry, and briefly mentioning concerns about Good Group’s stock price bubble. Soon, this concern was transmitted to the capital market in HK.

Because capital was truly afraid that the Su Province government would issue a document to cut Good Group’s takeout market share.

Musk’s backing capital, upon sensing the situation, immediately began to short the stock.

To thank Lin Yuan for the information, Musk even generously revealed his intention to short.

Lin Yuan then understood why most retail investors couldn’t make money in the stock market.

Because even though people like Musk had already largely positioned themselves, Good Group’s stock price in the HK stock market remained stagnant, and there were even many opinions suggesting it was a mid-term adjustment, preparing for better future gains.

Damn it, the information between big capital and retail investors is completely asymmetrical; it would be strange if retail investors could make money.
